It was Gangsta. Russian to be precise.
I can’t get over how this guy used simple tools and imagination to make this great table. Very impressive and talented.
I can't figure out how to manage not to lose edge out of the first cut. Btw: Major cut along side from a plain chainsaw...!!??
@@johnnyapoliyo421 COME RIFERIMENTO AVEVA IL RAGGIO LASER
Yeah, but it wasn't his first rodeo was it? Good goin' though, but what a weight. Imagine his wives expression when he told her he had made her a lovely new kitchen table! Great big brass butterflies and a 3"" thick oak top- priceless! On that brass note, I'll have to try routing some. Just sayin' 🙃
It's frightening how easy he demonstrates the techniques. Years of experience on display. We are privileged to watch.
Not only the videography. The woodworking as well.
E APRENDER!!! Esse senhor compartilha de forma clara o que faz ... É na verdade, um verdadeiro mestre que tem prazer em ensinar... Deus o abençoe...
This man is an old world craftsman, his inovation and experience are priceless.
Would like to aprentice under this man.
Not many men like him around these days.
I'll agree completely!
His kind are few and far between.
He is good. Very good. But an old school craftsman wouldn't have used glue. We can forgive the machinery.
Now that's what I'm talkin about way to show your lungs who's the Boss. Wood dust and fumes from smelting is a good way to condition your lungs to withstand anything. It takes a lot of work and dedication to build up the tolerance to toxic fumes and exotic wood dust. Keep up the hard work when the asteroid hits you will not need to wear a respirator.
You can learn it. What else you doing--watching Bachelor on TV?
If you learn the profession "Schreiner" in Germany, you will be able to do this.
Milling oak by hand in a workshop was unbelievably accurate. I find it hard enough with an Alaskan mill. Superb routering by hand and really clever techniques and an excellent router bit for thicknessing. Loved the simultaneous cutting of the two planks to get a perfect butt joint. The smelting of the copper wedges inspirational. The best woodworking video I've ever seen.
As a woodworker myself I can appreciate the work this man put into this piece. He is a true master craftsman.
I too can do all of this BUT his ability to chisel angled square holes…. Alien like activity.

As a fellow woodworker with a long line of ancestors that were in it also, I know the value of well preserved old wood. Most of it's curing is already past, though it will continue curing for a few centuries more. After almost 2 centuries, wood like the oak used here is quite a nice choice for making a strong table like this one.
I have to say that there are better tools and equipment that can be used, but most are expensive. The fact that this woodworker did it with less costly tools and equipment speaks volumes about his skill in woodworking. Few have the skill to make something that looks and works so well!
I welcome highly skilled woodworkers, and applaud them for helping keep our craft alive!
Cuál sería el mérito de el carpintero,si todo lo hiciera con herramientas costosas??
Makes me think, if someone isnt able to do simple woodworking(simple joints and flat edges) without high tech/expensive machines, are they truly a skilled woodworker?
Amen to that. His ability to overcome the cost of expensive things like a mill or belt fed planning table. Hats off to this man. Also the ability to add not wooden bow ties but melt down brass and do that from scratch. 🤯 Our lord has definitely blessed this man due to all his hard work.
@@skie6282 If one has to rely on automated machines to do the work, their skill level is low indeed! For me, the work is what I enjoy about my profession. I like all the aspects of woodworking, from designing, all the way to the finished product. It has given me a great reputation in the field.
@@skie6282 The joints are not what he is talking about. He's talking about planing it with a router and milling it with a chainsaw without even a chainsaw mill.
My dad would have been proud of you. He was the greatest carpenter I have ever met. He worked solely with hand tools, never ever saw him use a power tool or work from a detailed plan, he simply sketched an idea and got to work. Such skills like yours take years of experience and an infinite love for the elements. My dad lovingly caressed wood and iron, he would sit for hours holding a stump of a tree or the cut of a tree trunk working out the optimum use with minimal waste, then with the patience of Job he would get to work. Watching you work reminded me so much of my dad. My love of wood came from my father, i have neither his patience nor his skills but I have found my own wood working style, it’s rough cuts with a chain saw, random ideas, wooden pegs, hacking, chopping and a lot of banging, always wonky, neither aesthetically beautiful or quite square, the end result always turns out surprisingly beautiful. Thank you for the great videos and the opportunity to witness your work.
