From what i understand of Iskall's explanation of cake vaults, the loot is sub par till around 30 cakes. They might not be worth doing untill you can group run and get the cakes super fast. Love your series 🥰
It depends on the modifiers. If you start w/ 5x Gilded and come across a POI it’s worth looting because of the extra amount of chests. The further you get into the vault the greater the chance for the chests to be omega.
@@Bob_Smith19 yeah but essentially cake vault start at the difficulty matching level 0 and each room ramps it up. You'll only match your level at around 30 cakes so before that point loot ods are bad compared to running a regular vault objective.
They're getting reworked though (the breakpoint isn't intended to move from the change)
Note: I'm saying level 0 as an example i don't actually know the exact ramping start point or how aggressive the curve is, but that's the actual behaviour.
So basically adding a bunch of catalysts to a cake crystal doesn't make much sense in your example, you'd do that to maximize cash out in the last few minutes. It wouldn't benefit you at the start of the run, you can't even roll good things out of low level chests, only basic materials.
I love cake vaults so much but yeah, they are better to save for running with others as they aren’t worth running (the loot) alone if you can’t get up to 30 cakes.
As for the Crake Pedestal, did you know they’re changing Cake vaults?? Just ask Iskall, or even better, Etho about it. I don’t think they’ve heard about it.

I think iskall mentioned that they're changing cake vaults
Yeah, those boar things are nasty, fairly fast, an have reach longer than snapping turtles. Then you have fast horde mobs, strays have slow on on hit, tank mobs have a slow aura. Also slippery ice, ice that breaks when you stand on it, prickly berry bushes, and purple diorite.
I know leveling slows down once you reach level 50. But it’s still quite fast even up to around 70. You can easily level up if you complete a vault and two bounties in one run. It’s 90 - 100 where it really slows down.
If you complete the Vaults, yeah. But without completion it does feel a lot slower. Just didn't realise it would be so noticable 😂
@@FalseSymmetryI’ve just been relying on bounties to level up. Every vault is plunderers unless I get a hunt the guardians bounty. I find them to be the easiest to complete. Monoliths are nonexistent and Elixr is to much RNG.
Love what you did with the spawn island, it's about time that area got some attention haha
Just got to get in there a bit more sometimes. Get more cakes if you weren't quite so careful e.g. against the champion mob in that wooden special poi.

Need more chest breaking volume, need my chest ASMR, especially with the omegas.
I have 2 questions for you. First, what do inscription pieces do? I’ve tried crafting them but nothing happens. I’ve collected so many but don’t know what to do with them. Second, do you have to be a certain level before making a cake vault and running that?
Inscription pieces go in an inscription Table where you craft special rooms or simple inscriptions to add to an Architect Crystal. You must try to get your crystal to 100% completion before it runs out of instability and makes it 'exhausted' where you cannot modify it. For example I made a Mush Room Room with about 13 minutes and added catalysts for additional living chests to make it have about 100 chests in a single room.

Have more confidence false! You're very talented at fighting and have good gear. You just need to believe in yourself and say, "I got this, these mobs are easy!" Instead of, you're dangerous, or these are tanky or scary, etc. Project the positive (aka what you want to happen). Saying you're gonna die steers your brain in that direction by focusing on that, making it more likely. Same as saying you've got this will steer you towards success. I believe in you! You can get better and live up to your potential

@jackschroeder8126 I like how you said that, "tiptoe".. it's like a lvl beyond being careful, cautious, slow.. with the poison build you gotta be a bit patient, she's definitely tip toeing!
