I heard about this decades ago around the 1970's thereabouts and fully believe we were the first to fly, I remember lots of people being interviewed about it, well done my friend :)

He flew a replica of Richards aircraft proving it could actually fly. Its in the water - south canterbury - keeping in mind that it is only a quick pop over the hill to Haast where the rather large bird lurked!
