- Written in the studio, this enigmatic ballad was the last song recorded for Hunky Dory (1971). It was performed live only once, 40 years later on BBC Radio 2 in 2002. Largely ignored at the time, it has since become a much revered track, the perfect coda to a classic LP.
this song shall forever remind me of my next brother... passed away 9 years ago... more him and our youngest brother (I was a book worm sports avoider) - but the kids at our first school in 2 years after living like gypsies, called us boys "The Bully Brothers" - we weren't bullies, but we didn't buckle under... we were the BEWLAY BROTHERS
best track he ever made
The song is a masterpiece.
This song is transcendental to me, allows one to escape reality until the song is over 😌
