Let me say something very important. Yes he over dribbles. But this is a good thing. He is getting a lot of time to develop his ball skills. Which is great. He's skinny, but quick, and his hands are fast fast fast. This matters SO MUCH MORE than size..... so many guys these days focus on bulking up, and they don't take the time to develop their creative ability, confidence, and ball skills. Dudes have to remember that this is just a game, and it should be fun. The best players are the ones who make the game their own.... they make signature moves, beg for the ball, and fail and succeed over and over again. I gurentee you we will see him in the NBA. People forget that basketball is entertainment. And they focus so much on efficiency but they loose the basic fun aspect of the game.... and they turn into borning predictable players even though they have a lot of potential. Ronaldo is a natural entertainer, and that will invetibally lead him to the big leagues. People want to see an entertainer, even if they overdribble. We can forgive over dribbling, but we really love to see someone's ankles break..... His handles wont go unnoticed, and he seems like a playmaker, not just a play caller. If I have kids in the future, and they get into sports, i'm going to emphasize the importance of developing their skills above all else in whatever sport they play.... and their quickness and speed. I will place this above everything else, and then their IQ under that. And then size under that. Because IQ and size mean absolutely nothing if you cannot make a play with your skill. If your size and IQ fail you, you can still make plays. And it will always be that way. A perfect example of this is Allen Iverson.... who might have been the skinniest guard in NBA history, and may have never actually let a play run through from beginning to end (obviously this is a joke), but his speed, quickness, and ball skills were on an unearthly level..... and it carried him all the way through the highest rankings of basketball guards in human history. There are a lot of guys Lebron's size, but they cant dribble, move, shoot, jump, and pass like him. That's why Lebron is Lebron and Blake Griffin is Blake Griffin and Durant is Durant. They have skills beyond their expected position. That's why Stephen, Kyrie, Russel, and Rose arnt your average guards.... They have skills out the wazzoo.....So I hope kids these days put more emphasis on their skill than anything else. Their size will come naturally, especially when they go to college and start working out 5 times a week. Focus on skill in high school, and use your high school games as a chance to build confidence in your skills, and pull tricks out of your sleeve to increase your creativity. Because, again, you are trying out for a multi billion dollar entertainment business.... and you are going to have to wow people beyond your stat sheet.
Players don't go out there trying to entertain people watching them. They play to win the game. He needs to bulk up because you need strength to improve your overall game. His moves do show his confidence tho
I miss the old days bro I went to OCP I witnessed so many great hoopers from Damon Harge, Rondo Segu, Nassir Little, Cj walker, adonis herquiz, kai jones and so many more !!!,I miss these days man I'm 20 now and have been addict of theses channel since 2013-2014. i just miss these times man the purity of this was second to none. Now everything has changed sadly. but thanks Ryan for all the great memories man🥺🥺🥺 it was a great era of hoops
I like his game. This is a good example that you Don't have to be a 6'6 guard with a 40 inch vertical to be good. Just play good basketball. Our younger generation needs to learn that
+MrSavageHEH Nah he had match ups with top players Josh Jackson, Julian Newman, and Kwe Parker (even though not far from each other in ranking) to name a few. He doesn't show up much, he's literally barely noticeable. Until an Isaiah Briscoe pull up in his face, Julian Newman crossing his whole team ect. He is training now to become better instead of just relying on pick up games. If he performed well against those matchups (offensively) or at very least lock them down (defensively), he would be ranked higher.
+Long_Live_Mahlz That sounds about correct. Being touted as a "mid-major-plus" prospect now, which will get him to A10 level, at least (FSU offer notwithstanding). Definitely needs to bulk up, or else the dribbling (much of which are carries / palms) is just a gimmick. Good Luck to him, though.
this ronaldo segu i remember, hes a better PG nowa days but he played more freely and more creative when he just goes off his instinct..he still raw tho
He has real handels..... not pushing and hitting defenders with his off hand. Takes me back to the 1st AND1 DVD. Same flavor as Skip. I hope he just enjoys the game and stays humble. A lot of extra stuff going on..... could come off as arrogant. But could be better than all the others I've seen of this next generation.
Leon you are so right of his observation of his Ronald talents, he has speed galore that's why his speed sometimes goes faster than his dribble and he will bring the ball up to high but with the proper coaching that easily could work to his advantage - as breaking down defenders with other guys on his team setting picks and moving the defense from side to side with awesome shooters from everywhere he will pick up more assists than turnovers. His shot is nice but, when he gets to his position off the dribble/ using his body in the air will effect his trajectory and release in the air so he may need to get upper body strength this is why I do not see him being as dominant or efficient at buffalo more than Illinois who have a plethora of scorers including: Aaron Jordan the NCAA LEADING three point shooter and TejOn and Trent guards with skills to match that of Ronald ability to score and shoot - in an offense that scores quickly and often this is where he fits. Because he is virtually unstoppable off the dribble and can spot up and shoot well. I hope he considers leaving buffalo and transfers to ILLINOIS ALREADY THEY HAVE TRENT FRAZIER AND TE'JON LUCAS AND AYO COMING ADDING Another star guard like Ronald Segu would fit right in with what Brad Underwood is unleashing a fury of scorers and a flight of rim shakers.
Ryan.. Only if u came to Cleveland To See me Play 😳 . The underrated kids out here is nice and the ones that's ranked ain't better than the underrated kids.
Plays for Olympia, he should come to Oak Ridge and play for Coach Jack. Coach Jack and Reece will max his potential out. Michael Devoe and Ronaldo can be the best back court in Central Florida.
I can't wait for this basketball season. Like it honestly sucks having parents that won't let you play Aau. But just wait on it "Brendon Johnson 14 5'7 Pg c/o 2018"
I coach for the Carolina Wolves aau program, and seen this kid for showtime hoops........he can flat out PLAY! I was talking junk to him lol he's a baller. that whole team and program A1!
PEOPLE. he's just a freshman going on sophomore, cut him some slack he's good none the less he has solid pg skills. Everybody over uses the term 'over dribble' their is a such this as a combo if you all didn't know.
He dribbles a lot but he can go really far if he start focusing on uplifting the team ASAP and getting to the point when he has the ball. Often times players like him become OBSESSED with embarrassing defenders and ignoring their efficiency as a teammate.
lmaoo idk why ppl who dnt play organized or never did play organized ball comment..? like he elite bruh let him dribble and do what ever! as long as he playing defense and droppin buckets it dnt matter lmaoo.
I remember watching this in 8th grade😭. Time flies bruh
9th for me 💯😭
Mannnn
4th for me
10th

One of the best home team edits ever... the music goes so well with his style of play

+leon scott Nigga is this a RUclips comment or a 5 paragraph essay
I agree
I got to admit first time I saw him I was surprised he didn't get physically beaten because of his size he's probably quite flexible
Players don't go out there trying to entertain people watching them. They play to win the game. He needs to bulk up because you need strength to improve your overall game. His moves do show his confidence tho
really like you're message and read it all

Miss the purity of it for real ❤️
He is More like Jamal Crawford than Rondo in my opinion
Im pretty sure they call him Rondo cuz his name is Ronaldo
Ik him for a long time we don't call him rondo as a nick name we call him rondo cuz his name
i heard that they call him Rondo because of his passing skills and his fake passes , Also because of his name .
he got them Jamal Crawford dribble moves but a lil of the rondo lay up
+Jv3 they call him rondo because rondo is short for Ronaldo
2:00 he was getting at Damon Harge for a second 😈
Michael Neff Ik like he was rocking Damon Harge for a second, and he raw too🏀🏀

Home Team Hoops's producer is Ryan Curie, and Steph Curry daughter's name is Ryan Curry
He plays just like Daiquan Walker did in high school.
This instrumental is beautiful
What's the name of the song?
Every highlight vid you uploaded he had the best beat behind it 😂💪🏾
he is so smooth with it always under control
Throwback
I like how he makes it look like he’s having fun
NICE MUSIC TRACK! :D The young player is also very good! : )
He made that three in the beginning of the video and everybody got hella hella juiced.i average three threes a game and all I get is a god job
Plays for Olympia, he should come to Oak Ridge and play for Coach Jack. Coach Jack and Reece will max his potential out. Michael Devoe and Ronaldo can be the best back court in Central Florida.
Forget Him The Beat Is Too🔥🔥🔥
Deadass this beat nice as shit
***** I Watched This Twelve Times Just For The Beat.Swear!!
I can't wait for this basketball season. Like it honestly sucks having parents that won't let you play Aau. But just wait on it "Brendon Johnson 14 5'7 Pg c/o 2018"

He dribbles a lot but he can go really far if he start focusing on uplifting the team ASAP and getting to the point when he has the ball. Often times players like him become OBSESSED with embarrassing defenders and ignoring their efficiency as a teammate.
If he forms a jumpshot this dude would be even colder
Old school guard type, nice potential
haters back off this kid is nice I'll see u in the nba bro
Dis kid is good........nuff said
I think this guy has great potential, he definitely has a different style, but it's smooth.
Am I the only one who saw him finessing Damon Harge at 2:00?
for being class of 2018, this kid is nice. He is really going to do damage when he starts attacking to the left more.
A little raw but in 2 years when he adds strength and more moves he's gonna be a monster
Dude has amazing change of pace dribbling
He just rocked Damon harge
That hesi tho..1:32, 1:51, 2:53, 3:16...nasty
I just saw Damon Harge.. If you can get that matchup that'll be a good watch

He has ALOT TO LEARN ! HE WILL MATURE IN THE LONG RUN
Thats my boyy rondo go Rondo
That last part was sick
Every time he moves I cringe thinking his legs will snap under him but he is a beast. I can see him going somewhere.

Keep your head up and work on your game lil homie
See you in the NBA. Nice work!
