Really appreciate the vets telling us what they are doing and what they’re finding and how to treat the horses.
It’s feels more up close and personal. Everyone please keep safe. 😊
I really hope for positive outcomes on these young horses. Your new set up is such a blessing for checking on individual horses.
This new intake setup is so efficient and a lot safer for everyone. Great work to all of you who designed it!
Hey, Keith -- for lifting the big chunks of ice out of tanks, try rubber kitchen gloves. Let's you grasp them while keeping hands dry. Stay Healthy!!!!
AWWWW.... regardless of the amount of pain or the lack of cooperation, these horses are treated with uppermost respect and kindness throughout their experience and process at Horse Plus!
No other way is acceptable!!
Way to go guys and gals !!
You have our respect too!! 💕🐎💕🐎💕🐎💕🐎💕🐎
After looking at the filth of the trailers from flooors, walls and ceiling it is no wonder these babies became so ill. Stress from round up and loosing their families then loaded into trailers like that would take its toll on the most healthy of animals. Then add human diseases on top, breaks my heart and I'm just watching.
The vets and assistants must have nightmares over the treatment of these precious animals.
Thank you for your kindness and dedication. God bless ❤
This is an example of how important veterinarians can be in controlling the spread of disease. Thank you.
Ladies, You all have worked so hard to get this group well and things look to have gone much better with this check-up. Hopefully they enjoy their new pasture with more sunshine. Perhaps they will become calmer if they can see staffs interactions with other horses and start to realize these humans as "good things". I am praying that this round of testing shows marked improvement in their status. Also, like Dr. Lydia, that the pregnant mares hold on to those foals until warmer weather. ❤
Every now and then things actually got according to plan. Good job Keith.
So glad that you got Nicole on the team- what an asset!
This gate system works really well
Praying that these wilder ones get healthy and learn over time that y’all are just trying to help them. They are beautiful with very nice gates. Especially the grey/blks. Thank you Dr Lydia, Dr Gina and newbie! God bless you with safety and patience… thank you so much for caring so very much! ❤🐴♥️
If anybody can do it Keith, you can! Slick as a whistle
Thank you for not giving up on these poor sick rez babies. I hope most of them can be saved. I have a feeling not all of them will make it though. 💔
Loved having the photos of the horse the vets are working on!!
Great job girls, I can only imagine how hard it will be to do the hoof trimming on these little Phillies
Oh you ladies look so cold!! I was in the kitchen getting a snack when I heard Dr. Lydia ask where Catori's nose was & I thought "What? At the end of her face! Guess they can't cover EVERYTHING in vet school?" Then i got to the computer & realized the horse was in the chute & Dr. Lydia could of course not see her head. Still laughing. Good work, chilly folks!
Dr Lydia, The Horse Whisperer 🐎
All the horse's look so amazing. You all are doing such a great job. Thank you for caring for them.
Dr Lydia, veterinarian and everything else horsey related 😂❤
Keith, you did it your way. And it worked. I hope the horses will be well soon. They are so beautiful.
Thanks Vets and Hailey. Good job.
WOW, they've got a long row to hoe! Hopefully with better weather they'll perk up!
Sorry to hear this group is still not well. Hoping new location and more feed will help. Praying for a positive outcome.
I like want you guys do for the animals you are doing a great job for the animals Nanette
I like the way you work and take care of the horse and all the animals you are doing a great job for the animals Nanette
Great job everyone!!!
But Dr Lydia I love playing games!! Dr Gina you are quick on your feet!
❤❤blessings to all the vets❤❤ prayers for those horses❤❤
I just want to say THANK YOU ladies for all that you do ...🩷🧡💚💙🩵💜
I'm afraid there will be more than one foal...... 😅😅 Really hope theese pretty girls will be well soon!!! ❤❤
Another excellent video, Hayleigh! Thanks vet team for performing your magic. This is a tough group of horses. I hope they show improvement on this round of tests. 👍🏼
Thanks for the update you guys!
Jo
Watching ❤️
I enjoyed the music selections, especially the song played while Keith was moving the horses up to the barn.
Great filming and information on these guys!
Great team!❤
Excellent camera work
Twice or thrice baked muffins, I'd say can't wait, but yes Spring babies sound just right.🐎🐎 Congratulations Horse Plus!!
Love the new intake barn, it's great! Amazing work ladies!! Thank you for your kindness and patience with the horses, you are an awesome team ❤
Thank you for all you do 🙏💙💫
Is there going to be a time that Horseplus will be able to attend the auctions again ? It just feels like the killbuyers have gotten their way and how many of those poor horses would be saved and adopted .
Todays episode was wonderful and watching you guys trying to round up Donnelly was very entertaining ! He made me chuckle 🤭
Do you change your rubber gloves for each new horse you do?
Donnelly is so stinking cute! 😂
What does the triangular brand mean? In Sweden it means that the horses insurance for useability has been payed. Some horses can still live a good life but they are banned from competitions or commercial use. Im not sure if they can be insured again, maybee with restrictions?
Olive leaf extract for the horses with respiratory problems
Hi just wandering if this group would be prime candidates to try the probiotics that have been donated, being sick for so long makes sense to me that the gut would be out of balance which would contribute to not gaining weight, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain poor souls - Kim
❤❤❤
Great video guys
I have a question. Do you spray disinfectant on all of the panels up in the intake barn when dealing with infectious diseases?
Blessings on all of you! I thought the barn was going to be heated/cooled for you guys?
That looks so cold
7 degrees. Yeah.....😮
Are the rest of the reservation babies that are not in this group ok? I noticed this is only 1/2 the babies
My understanding is that THIS group is a 'special' group that was picked up separately and never part of Any of the other Reservation groups.
These are mares that were bought separately and all 8 of them had diphtheria, which is rare for horses to get. But, since they did and it's very contagious to humans, Horse Plus Vet team has to take all precautions to keep everyone else safe , not just the horses and themselves.
@@Rgrn-e7z where are the babies that came in? I haven't seen them in awhile.
@wwjd2024 , they are out in a pasture and growing and getting bigger, they show them , once in awhile on the vlogs .
@Rgrn-e7z ok Thsnk You just haven't seen them in a while. 😊
you need a well trained cowboy horse that helps getting all the horses. Could be fun :D
These horses where infectious risk to all other horses and humans they couldn't use a horse to round these up.
@@nicoladennett311 Good point, but in other cases it could be very helpful to use a horse :)
The names of the horses are unusual to me. Are they Navajo names?
I caught dypyheria (was fully 💉) post op 25 yrs ago.. only way I could get rid of it (after prescription mega anti’s) was massive doses of vitamin C. Can you offer any licks or supplements high in Vit C?
They are so scared
🙏🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞🤞😔😔😔😔❤️❤️❤️❤️
I thought the intake barn was going to be a heated environment. Did I not understand their plans? :-)
I don't think the intake barn is finished, yet. Work in progress.
@@JustJoyHowdy Oh I'm glad, thank you.
You should have some horses under saddle to chase the lose horses to where you want them to go you do not have to go fast
I have to say (yet again) it was amazing what Dr Lydia achieved with the coaxing bucket. It was a great “boundary breaker“ for untrained frightened horses.
Now let us compare to a previous video where somebody had come to view a pony. This pony was “sold” as halter broken.
The herd was chased into the various channels with bloody wildly flagged waving. Ie. They were frightened into submission. I AM SORRY BUT THAT IS NOT KIND HANDLING.
I keep saying the same old thing. And weirdly it is always the same person involved.
Priority cannot be herding them into a small space and shoving a vile wooden lump on their back followed by a human lump and that’s ok. IT IS NOT.
You would be better training EVERY HORSE regardless of age or background to be halter trained, to be groomed and pick up its feet, to be quietly lunged for human voice connection.
It’s not a big ask. And yes I am from the uk and that would be the literally minimum attention we would give to any animal.
@golden.... How many Wild and very sick horses with i sicknes that can get people very, very sick do you have to handle in the uk ? My guess is NONE and still you are sitting here and tell VERY experience vets what to do, like halter train them all😮
Oh no, Dr. Lydia doesn’t sound very good. Does she? She sounds all snobby. Oh shoot not us a sick vet now all crud that’s all you guys need.
I have now watched the whole vlog.
I am, no I feel , no…..
What is it with this bizarre handling of wild stock?
What is with all this flagging and chasing. When are you going to stop herding them, chasing them.
When are you going to offer calm and let them know there is no need for fight/flight. Keeping on herding and chasing and forcing them into submission IS NOT THE WAY TO GO
STOP IT. All the hours you put into vlogging. Please put that into handling, grooming whatever. Basically the bloody livestock. Not money making clicks. .
Perhaps when they are out of quarantine and proven clinically safe to handle they can focus on training each one individually. I suspect it may take a while for all the training based on the sheer numbers they rescue from slaughter. And I hope potential adopters are smart enough to understand they will need to do the vast majority of training because of this.
@@Lomojo31 Correct. While still 'contagious', handling MUST be kept to a minimum.
People who have never dealt with truly WILD animals haven't a clue . . . no reason that they should . .. but they should keep criticisms at a minimum. Asking 'whys' is reasonable and leads to learning, but don't ASSUME
Walk in my shoes and then give advice please
You do realize these are the Dipthereia horses, right? As in can only be handled by certain employees in very specific ways?
@
Yes. Thank you. But really flagging raw untrained animals can only insight fear. Just not needed.
