Simply put, the reason why god does not cure children with cancer or perform these miracles as you say is because the world we live in according to the Bible has denied God. You and many others obviously mock and deny God. So why? Why would he intervene in a world full of so many who deny him? Ever since the Garden of Eden this world was forsaken. He has built a Kingdom for those who follow him and accept his son. This world is full of sin, despair, destruction, greed, envy, hatred, and many other things. This world doesn’t deserve our god. To understand would require an understanding of Christian beliefs. Death is not something to be feared, but to be rejoiced as a communion and reunion with Christ and God. Yes, it is incredibly sad to see children die of cancer and other terrible diseases and if at all possible we should find a cure, but to Christians they are going to meet the creator. God has his children, and only those who accept the words of Christ into their hearts will see just how real God is.
