Thank you for this! I dont know why but having the thought of cooked fish eggs, in the back of my head kind of freaked me out but yet here I am eating fish eggs and wanting to try caviar! Hahaha
Growing up my mom would try to trick me into eating it by calling it scrambled eggs lol. I grew to love ackee, definitely an acquired taste but it's amazing when done right

As a Dominican and African American woman I cannot live without tasting Jamaican Food. It’s by far one of the best Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted. I will suggest you also try Dominican food. It is quite delicious.

It's not egg or fish eggs Quang. It's ackee and saltfish, Jamaica's national dish. Ackee is a fruit that grows on trees, when ripe and cooked up with the saltfish, is very tasty. It would be like eating a vegetable mixed in with fish, it's just classified as a fruit.
Eat it with fried dumplings next time, or with ground provisions such as yam, green bananas, sweet potato and boiled dumplings and you will enjoy it more. Try it again that way for breakfast, film it and let us know how you feel about it then.

Ok. The Salted (cod)fish dish is called Ackee and Saltfish. That’s Jamaica’s national dish. The Ackee is actually a fruit and is prepared with salted cod onions n peppers served with fried dumplings and plantains. The Ackee is supposed to be a bit creamy texture and pairs well with the fish. The restaurant looked liked they prepared it well but it’s best if u eat in Jamaica or from a home cook. Lol. Otherwise love love all the support you throwing to Jamaica.
Also usually if it’s s chicken patty it’s scurry chicken patty. The one you got looked like curry potato

That yellow thing is not eggs...it's called Ackee (ah-key) and it's a fruit but we basically eat it like it's meat. It goes so good with salt fish (salted codfish)

My mother lets the codfish sit in water overnight and cooks it with like 8 eggs and all kind of colorful bell peppers and onions. When you cook the codfish, it sort of shreds or breaks up.

Quang Tran, you should try green mac and cheese.
I’ll give you green mac and cheese recipe.
Making green sauce for mac and cheese
4 cups spinach
Cup 1/2 parsley
Cup 1/2 milk
In the blender
In the medium or big size pot pan
1/4 butter (melt it in the pot pan)
1/4 flour then mix it in the pot pan till it looks creamy or melty enough
Stir it with 1/2 milk
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
16 ounces of white cheddar cheese
Stir it altogether till it’s creamy, put the green sauce in it, stir it again, add pasta in it and mix it altogether again.
Put the green Mac and cheese in the pyrex, put mozzarella on top (or put any other cheese you like/want) then broil it for 5 minutes
You can make green mac and cheese in your styles.

its ackee its a fruit it comes from a trree and we have the tree in our backyard and codfish fried up with seasonings sweet peppers onions sometimes tomatoes .....you can also cook the ackee with bacon however you must cook the bacon first then break it up into pieces and add it to ackee and seasonings ..its codfish ..salted cured you have to soak it overnight or boil it a couple of times first then you can simply debone it and fry it up with onions garlic peppers and scotch bonnet peppers
