Richard Young I packed up my stuff and decided to move 4 hours from home in like a two week period lmao. If I could I would definitely start investing in pieces for my apartment way before I moved. It’s expensive to completely decorate it.
I just moved into my first apartment too! I’ve been here about a month and the first time I went grocery shopping I didn’t realize how quickly things go bad and that I’m the only one eating here. So the second time I was definitely a lot more selective.
My daughter is moving to her first apartment at school 3 hours away from Mom so I’m glad I can recommend your channel to her. Really helpful information.
The cheapest stores are definitely Aldi and for most things Walmart. Kroger has good sales and digital coupons, too! But in my opinion their brand is the best.
I plan to move out with my boyfriend to our first apartment around September this year, I’m so excited ! And so grateful I stumbled upon your channel :) planning and preparing will be saved thanks to you ❤️
Amazing video ❤ getting an apartment is so stressful lol especially when getting w2, paystubs and bank statements I had to pay an online vendor for help
your channel is so helpful, im not moving out anytime soon (3 years 😣) but im just now finding your channel and its basically a one stop shop. appreciated!! edit: im in a serious relationship with pasta too lol omg my mom and i are in love with viva paper towels there were the cheapest (surprisingly) at SafeWay which was shocking to us as well.
the downloadable list is so sweet of you ❤️ dreaming of living with my husband alone one day (including our two children; they could also be called our dog and cat). I’m definitely saving this video!
Always look at different stores. Aldi, Walmart, Costco, Dollar Tree... all of them. First run through JUST browse and take notes on the list (different color pens for different stores) then go back and buy at each store according to cheapest price. Read labels - I refuse to buy anything made with certain ingredients that cause deforestation.
Omg ! I did that !!! Haha i shop at trader Joe's, sprouts and Costco but also have a Sam's club membership. So i have a small notebook and each store is under a different color with all the stuff i buy recording their prices . That way i know who has what cheaper .
My mom uses Trello for her cooking recipes and ingredients, it's like a shopping list with instructions. It is super useful, and not hard to make, highly recommend
See this is why I love RUclips. You can just get on RUclips and find a tutorial for literally anything 😂 my brother asks “how exactly do we grocery shop for first moving in?” I say put it on RUclips I guarantee there’s a video on it and voila 😭 gotta love it
You look like Demi Lovato! But anyways, your first apartment videos are saving my life. I am moving out soon and I am terrified because I am like 0.001% as prepared as you. But I think these videos add a few points. Thank you so much!
I didn't even realize America had Aldi! I personally am more of a Lidl shopper but now I want to go and check out Aldi to see the price difference and if they have the items you are showing. I'm guessing that just like Lidle that Aldi mostly sells products that are more suitable to the country the store is in so I'm curious considering the fact that I live in The Netherlands! We'll see though!
Amazing video!! You really get trough evry single thing and ahh thank you!!! I’m not moving out or anything but my mom and I lack some of these things (some spices and condiments) at home and since I love to cook as much as you I should really get them. Thanks girl🙏🏼❤️
Also a Midwest thing to randomly add s’s to the end of store names. Aldis and Meijers. I mean I don’t do that as it’s a pet peeve of mine but everyone I know does and I’m from Michigan.
I thought I was the only one that gets exited over buying my first food run when I get my 1st place. My mum says I’m wierd😂
My whole family is making fun of me because I'm 15 watching videos on moving LMFAOAOAO
hahaha I was way too excited to go grocery shopping 😂
@@richardyoung7267 It's only three years until you're eighteen. That's not that long. It will more or less fly by.

I just wanted to let you know, for glass, vinegar, warm water and dish soap in a bottle is an amazing glass cleaner use paper towels to clean though.
I've heard that and definitely want to try that!!

Sophia: “You don’t need to see the chicken”
Me: “dang it. I wanted to see so I know what I’m looking for when I go” 😂😂
In my opinion all you need is a twelve pack of ramen, bread, avocados, salt and an obsessive amount of beer
this is hilarious
And eggs 😁😁😁

You did awesome,! Thanks for the links!
what if you don't have a Aldi store around you where would you go to shop for groceries then?
May I ask, how much did you save for your first apartment
I just saw that this was in mid-March. How did you get all of this in mid-March this year??? Lol happy for you though!
Moved in March 6th so went shopping that weekend...I was SO LUCKY that I did because literally two days later everything shut down haha.
I know this is old but isn't that fabric softener and not laundry detergent?

Why do she pronounce grocery Gro"sh"ery???
hahaha I totally do. Maybe its a midwest thing ;)
Hahaha I've never known anyone to say it another way!! Then again I am Canadian we say things a lil funny sometimes
Is it not pronounced like that?
Also a Midwest thing to randomly add s’s to the end of store names. Aldis and Meijers. I mean I don’t do that as it’s a pet peeve of mine but everyone I know does and I’m from Michigan.
Why aren't you saying it that way?
