I live in Alaska! I think the 7000 was modeled after this for gold. Except its a lot of $$$$$. I would like to concentrate mostly on GOLD nugs, silver, and native findings! What I like most is the LCD on this! I want it, but I'm uncertain of it's ability to find high-end minerals? Not looking for tin cans or bullets. What say you? I haven't researched many other brands? I REALLY like this one, except for that one uncertainty. Must get wet is a have too. People's videos only show coin mode every time? Is silver mode for GOLD too? I do like it better than the 800!🤠

I generated my own program for the 3030. For me it works. Silver is always easy to tell as the ID number is a lot higher than most things. Gold is more difficult as the shape & density of it changes the ID number. However a lot of rubbish can eliminated with a good program. Its a great detector still today, I use mine weekly and I have found no better alternative.

I have yet to hit a gold or platinum ring at 12.37...still searching. I will only stop digging those 12.37's when there are just too many to recover and it's not very often. Gotta go with the odds sometimes. The corroded zinc pennies will also ring up in the teens and twenties...good times haha. Have to dig those low can slaw signals too...woo hoo! Thanks Sandy Toes.

Most gold is much lower but the larger fat ones are up there. Good luck.

That big Platt ring is a HONKER!!...I see it rings up around where a penny would.I dig so many pennys up around the 1236 1237 that after a few hrs i stop digging them.1 of the best rings i ever found rang up a solid 1236 i started walking away and went back.Turned out to be a 22k fatty makes it hard to walk away from them penny signals....

yes it is :-). mostly good sounds are good targets, have bee surprised a few times though. The large 10 g gold ring was 1237 but quite a poor sound when in the sand. Boy did I have a smile on my face when that came out.

The chains are normally ver quite. I had the sensitivity turned down in the house so a couple of items did not sound. The excalibur is a great machine. I use one as well.

Yes, everything comes up on this line. Fine gold at 12:01, big gold at 12:38, everything else in between. Silver 12:47 coins 12:25-38 etc. Unfortunately pull tabs come up at 12:01, 12:07, 12:15.
