This is so nasty. I just love everything about this writing, technique, tuning. It's perfect. Being a 90s guy, this reminds me so much of how Bones made me feel in lot. Kudos boys n girls.
Mike Jackson's writing is unparalleled in my honest opinion. The grooves are unreal! Idk if you're an Indoor fan, but check out Broken City! Same style
I really like these guys. I believe they should be given a lot more credit than they get. They put it out there note and performance wise. Looking for big things from this line in the future.. Shoot for #1 Ladies and Gents....
^This comment bothers me. I thought the point of a drumline was to be a single, cohesive, uniform machine. Why must females and their duts stand out? Funny how feminists draw attention to the fact that women are a minority of drummers when they could act like it's normal to see female drummers. Nope, let's draw more attention to them because we are *actually sexists* or simply simps trying to white knight our way into her pants or something. Nothing has changed on that front for at least a decade since I marched and probably even longer than that tbh. I am not speaking for these women and I don't know what they think on this subject...but this type of shit has to be setting women back...it makes them seem like they need the attention (maybe they do or maybe they are stronger people than that). Believe me. Female drummers get ALL of the attention whether they want it or not. I hope that there is at least one female drummer who gets what I am saying. Drumline is about the team, the military uniformity and precision. The goal should be to blend in, not to stand out... just because you have two X chromosomes... Or am I wrong? I very well could be. It seems that nowadays it is every man/woman for him/herself. Do you really care about the drummer outside of your spot? Or do you view them as competitors. It seems like dancing and stupid artsy shit dominates more than actual beats nowadays too. An instructor of mine used to say that drumlime was a family...which was sickening to me because I knew some folks hated eachother...and I know that some members of that 'family' were sleeping together too... but my experience was atypical and painful. I'm glad I'm done but I sincerely want the best for these kids and I'm tired of this battle of the sexes. We need each other. Am I wrong? Is this experience more about the individual or the group? Do women need men like fish need a bicycle? Or do men need women the way a bicycle needs a fish? THE TRUTH IS THAT WITHOUT MEN AND WOMEN WORKING TOGETHER, THERE WOULD BE NEITHER MEN NOR WOMEN. Some of these topics do not get brought up. They are taboo in this community (and other communities). I have had a very hard time ignoring some of this shit and I have thought WAYYY too much on these subjects to not share. I know I'm not wrong but I also know that I will be pegged as a chauvinist or whatever for expressing myself. I don't care. I'm not going to live my life in silence to make others more comfortable. In order to be able to think, one runs the risk of being offensive and if I'm wrong then maybe we're wrong.
Hottest lot vid this season by far! Great angles, Color Grading, High Quality Video & Audio, Bravo dude! Keep creating!
Curious: Did you grade this in Premiere? DaVinci? LUT?

What a great improvement over the season - great job gal and guys. Wonderful book played with great skill and consistency.
Very tight sounding. And in full dimensional stereo too. What a treat for my ears.

so satisfying when you can actually hear the female dutting and not being drowned out by the pretty much male drumline.
Female drummer rep my dude 👌
