No. The EU, despite it's division, is a very formidable force combined. The US would not be able to step a foot on a single member states' soil. If the US struggled in Afghanistan against less technologically developed opponents, how on Earth do you expect it to lay a finger on an entire continent? The tanks maybe, the air craft carriers maybe not. Then again, us military budget, it raised to ww2 levels, can go up to 10-12 trillion dollars. TRILLIONS. America had the greatest military with an annual 800 billion dollar military budget. Now look at over 10 times that.

They can. France only had 290, Americas could easily overwhelm them with various interceptors. If it was Russia, launching 5000, that would be a completely diffferent story. But 290 is very manageable.
