Hey, as a Leavenworth local, it would be appreciated if you would take the trail name off this video. This is an unsanctioned trail, the the more pointed promotion it gets the more likely it’ll be that the Forest Service will rip it out.
Totally get where you're coming from and I don't mean to sound rude or start an argument. I hesitate to take mine down if dozens of other much larger youtubers, whose xanadu videos have tens of thousands of views, still have theirs up with the name and location as well. Even Vital has posted a video about Xanadu with Luke Strobel. In my eyes, if someone like Strobel, who himself does unsanctioned work and understands the importance of keeping things secret has a video on xanadu, I'm okay to keep it up for now. I could totally be misguided, and you're probably right that it would be best to take it down. I just feel like there might be bigger fish to fry than my channel is all.
I think at 1:56 the original line is to go on the rocks to the left. Its hard to see until you’re committed to either path. I went the same way you did. Great videos, love the clarity of your footage.
I see, that would make sense. Curious if you could also go straight down the rock roll instead of down and around. My friend checked it out and said it was pretty heinous, but I want to take a look at it out next time I ride it.
