Another beautiful card Natalie! When I first started card making I remember watching a video on here with a woman who refreshed her embossing ink pads with glycerine as she said it was much cheaper! I have never tried it myself, so this was interesting to see the effect. TFS and have a great week. 👍💖

Another WOW card. I found the glycerine experiment very interesting as I thought glycerine and embossing ink were the same - I guess not. I noticed the smudge and wondered how you would handle it and I’m glad it happened since the splatter really hid it. I have a bad habit of creating smudges so I was happy to learn that fix. Thank you
Thanks so much! I think I laid the glycerine down quite thickly so that's maybe why it bubbled.
I loved the simplicity of this card. It’s simple, but has BIG impact, and I needed the reminder. I have been using glycerin since I started making cards as an embossing pad ‘re-inker’! I am not sure where I learned that tip, but my best guess is The Frugal Crafter RUclips channel. (I do know that she’s the one who showed me, and everyone else!, how to match colors and refresh inkpads without buying a bottle for every color.)

Wow, I love the glycerine embossed strip, Natalie, very unusual but visually pleasing. I have a bottle of glycerine that I use to 'reactivate' my tired dye inks. You can add a drop along with some distilled water to revive inks that are on their last legs, lol. But that is a wonderful way of using glycerine as a binder for embossing powder, gives an amazing look. Love the card x

QUESTION, Please ... You use the GLYCERINE with water on D Y E Ink pads ... ONLY??
EQUAL AMOUNTS of Glycerin & Water ?? MIXed together? Or applied one after the other? Have you ever tried this on Pigment Ink pads? Sorry to inundate you with questions, but the devil is the details, don't you know ... 😶🌫

That's very clever, I wonder if it would be a good medium for an underwater theme card, it reminded me a bit of coral with the holes it created. Hope you're doing ok xxx

I’ve tried the glycerin with embossing also. Not bad but stamping with it can be a bit hit and miss. Good for mixed media though 😊

I like glossy accents, but it always makes the color underneath a bit darker. Is that just my bottle (it’s a bit older) or did I see that happen to your card too?
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, glossy Accents tends to intensify colours a little. Sometimes older glossy Accents can yellow a little thpugh
