the first time i seen this was in the cinema on the big screen and is gave me ghoosbumps...few years later i got myself a 40" sony bravia 1080p...fuckn best tv ever!
Wow... Actually seeing how it was done makes it even more of an incredible advert. I must admit that at first I was in the "oh this is CGI" bunch of sceptics because some of the balls are moving so fast they resemble bright circles. Now I've seen this I am in awe! INCREDIBLE
this ad was on the guinness world book of records.. they said it had 250,000 balls involoved!! so it must've been the 'most prop involved in a single ad' section. and love the song as well!!
it's crazy cause the actual is so mellow and serene yet in actuality all of those hundreds of thousands of super bouncy balls created this thunderous, and rather dangerous, cacophony. still love it though!
this is my fave advert of all time they played this in the cinama , the advert not the makeing and me and my sister swayed to it ppl looked at us like idiots
Well actually Sony a Japenesse company and the director of this ad was Nicolai Fuglsig who is Danish. So the only thing it has in common it has in America is that the commercial was shot in San Francisco, that's it. I personally thing it rock so if you think it's that bad, why?
The frog was not planned i think. That is what the director was talking about, when he said about an extra bit of soul making it real. It's a beautiful commercial either way. Watch the Bravia Paint commercial.
ha ha yea it could have probly been a lot less work and stress to do just do in a 3d app, BUT this is still awesome, I think its really cool that they attempted this.
youtube is the ladybug compared to the humngous beast that Stage6 was. Stage6 was the best in quality. The only other option is Vimeo, but it's still flash video.
The people living on that street would be tripping balls. Literally they would be falling over them for months! You know that now matter how hard they try, the clean up team would never get them all.
This is lovely. Little things like this that make people smile are what makes an otherwise bad day worth while.
probably the only commecial they ever made that actually well be well remembered not just as a commecial but as an experience.
Experience is good for what?
So many bouncy (?) balls! I liked the commercial already and to see how they made it, is just cool!
this with the bouncy balls is one of the best commercials i've seen . it's just perfect .
I love the simple idea of this ad.
Great job! This is the best commercial ever!!!
the most wonderful commercial EVER!!!
This holds the record for most props used in a TV spot :D
wow crazy i always thought it was CG....thats even more impressive! good choice of song at the start as well...
its the best ad in the last few years.
Excellent!! Thank you for clearing that up for me.

I never actually thought they used real balls. That is AWESOME!
this ad was on the guinness world book of records..
they said it had 250,000 balls involoved!!
so it must've been the 'most prop involved in a single ad' section.
and love the song as well!!
I just love the big mighty rumbling noise of 200.000 bounchy balls coming down the street :D
I have one embedded in my back. SO awesome!
2:14 LMFA at the sound he makes as hes running after the ball XD
Looks like it was a ton of fun... wish I'd been there to see it. XD
yeah i saw that advert here in Africa... awesome. made just like i thought they did.... film making must be such great fun... lucky buggers! :-)
it's crazy cause the actual is so mellow and serene yet in actuality all of those hundreds of thousands of super bouncy balls created this thunderous, and rather dangerous, cacophony. still love it though!
I didn't even think 144p was possible?
this was uploaded in 2006
Yes, back then the world was only available in 72p. Sony improved it.
each ball is a pixel
excellent !!
what'n amazing advertised...love colour and love small jumping balls
the song in THIS clip, not the ad, is called "everything is alright" by fourtet.
The music from 0:25 is Everything is Alright by Four Tet.
'Heartbeats', a cover by Jose Gonzalez. Originally by The Knife.
haha
the people hiding frm bouncy balls behind protective screens lol
n i luv this advert
VERY nice advert..
Yep, a very nice advert indeed.
*releases bouncy balls*rumblerumble ping poing! *all the car alarms in the city go off*
Oh my god. I never thought that they would actually have done this. It's great that they did though. - DID YOU HEAR ALL THOSE CAR ALARMS GOING OFF? xD

Crazy, crazy, crazy!
my sister just got a bravia. its amazing.
Que bien!!!!!!! Espectacular! Me encantan las bouncy balls!!!!!!!!! Wow, Sony la saco del estadio con este comercial!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!
I like how they were talking about it being organic and real when they are selling computers .
no your thinking about the song on the actual advert. hes talking about the song at the very start of this video
theprudle: the song is 'heartbeats' by jose gonzales.
160,000 bouncy balls all over the place... that's like a childhood daydream come to life
thanks
great...really great... frightening sound btw:P
heartbeats - jose gonzalez
One of the coolest videos on RUclips is in 240p.
i have 5 sony bravias and they're freaking amaking. i even have one in my grato :}
I said exactly the same thing when i saw the ad !
jose gonzales, my friend. but original is from the knife (song heartbeats)
great
apologies, its called 'everthing's alright' and is from the 'pause' album
whats the name of the song way at the beginning of this video? i recognize it but cant figure it out.
and this video is awesome. AMAZING
"it's all about the balls." haha i love nicolai.
this is my fave advert of all time
they played this in the cinama , the advert not the makeing
and me and my sister swayed to it
ppl looked at us like idiots
@patheher Yes i know that. What i mean is the song in the beginning
ping pong balls, bouncy and all over balls we could color up, LOL!
awesome :)
its by fourtet and I'm pretty sure its called 'hands' on their 'rounds' album
The next advert should actually say something about the TV's themselves.
They did that over and over again for 2 days!?....
Wow.
I'd like to see that. I would be so scared if i was standing in the road... lol

Four Tet - Everything Is Alright

gosh! I miss Stage6! Gosh I miss high quality videos!!! Why can't RUclips do the same?!
love you expoltion...
The frog was not planned i think. That is what the director was talking about, when he said about an extra bit of soul making it real. It's a beautiful commercial either way. Watch the Bravia Paint commercial.
It´s "heartbeats" - José González
I thought all those boucy balls were made from computer graphics when I saw this commercial for the first time.
Now i see the realtime version, I dont want to dance around them as they fall
es genial!
muy creativo.
el director es argentino :)
wow thats considerate... it would be pretty cool as well to be sat in the car when the bouncy balls were released
Would like to be the person cleaning the balls up lmao
What program (software/hardware) were they using in the post-production of this? I didn't recognize it...
This is one of the best adverts ever. And what they said, its hardly even american.
Haha "Magnifique" !! I sooo agree :D
does anyone know the music at the beginning?
Four Tet - Everything is Alright. Read the comments, this question was answered several times before.
"This is about connecting with people emotionally."
Not really, you just want to launch 50'000 balls down a downhill street :D
yea, if I remember correctly, the highest reso is 720p. RUclips most definitely can't(also refuses) to do this.
lol, car alarms going crazy
the frog part mustve been a coincidence
ha ha yea it could have probly been a lot less work and stress to do just do in a 3d app, BUT this is still awesome, I think its really cool that they attempted this.
THATS MY HOUSE!!!!
Actually, Gordon302's mom was the first one to sign up.
not just a day a lifetime
its like a colorful rain of bouncy destruction
anyone know the music from at about 0:25 ?

What is the song in this advert?

youtube is the ladybug compared to the humngous beast that Stage6 was. Stage6 was the best in quality. The only other option is Vimeo, but it's still flash video.
Ha ,yeah im stupid you got me

hahahaha that was a random thought but ye all i gotta say is ouch!
nice, it must have been some mess cleaning up the entire area :D Thank god it wasn't my neighborhood!
how long has it take to clean it up?
haha, there was a bunch of car alarms that went off.
The people living on that street would be tripping balls. Literally they would be falling over them for months! You know that now matter how hard they try, the clean up team would never get them all.
