From what I've heard, rhythm games are actually harder for musicians BECAUSE of keeping time. When you're making music, from what I've been told, an actual human is in charge of the time (either you or the drummer). If the rules need to be bent, you can just go ahead and do that. In a rhythm game, you're at the cold calculating mercy of the machine. Rules are absolute, and music is only there for humans to perceive; the game only cares about 1's and 0's.
It's funny how perception from different people differ, because I play rhythm games, I haven't played this one so I can't confirm it, but this looks really easy to me

I'm pretty good at rhythm games if I say so myself. Perhaps not quite as good as Gura, but it's kinda hard to compare seeing as I play some other rhythm games. Though I've been called a god at D4DJ by a friend just because I can full combo songs on hard with mv and 0% opacity XD I'd say I'm an intermediate/advanced player overall. I can play and full combo songs on Hard without much issue in D4DJ and BanG Dream, 10 - 12s in Sound Voltex (not all on these levels, but a solid amount), 6s in Jubeat (can clear 7s) and 6s and 7s in MaiMai. Groove Coaster is a bit harder for me, but it's still great fun, especially at the arcade
