I killed Wyll during the goblin fight, then resurrected him after having killed the grove. He just ignored me and started teaching the now dead and gone Tiefling children to fight. I couldn't start a conversation with him. I think he was too traumatized to realize what had happened.

@@ofanichan Wyll is probably a perfect fit for Warlock. So boring on the outside looking in but if you actually go a bit deeper I think it’s actually a cool class/character. Sadly I never really got that deep with Wyll like I did for the Warlock class :(

Gale's is my favorite one by far. His little "ritual" for bringing him back isn't just a gag, it's legit and you can actually follow the steps he describes to get that Scroll of True Resurrection and revive him with it. The little mephit he says would appear does so and everything. The fact that they actually added all that in is what separates this game from others and truly elevates it to masterpiece status. The attention to detail is insane :)
What happens if you don't resurrect him, I haven't played the game yet
@@randomname7918 If you leave him dead after two long rests you'll get a game over screen, so it's not an option

Its too confusing for me to remember so i just went to withers xD when he was making me repeat the instructions id forget and pick the wrong answer and astarion was stood there by me correcting me im glad you dont HAVE to use the pouch

Astarion had different reaction in EA if you killed and resurrected him. Something along the lines of making a grand entrance by killing then resurrecting him and being impressed.
thats when he knows you attacked him, if you attacked hidden, he wont know.
he also has a different reaction if ya killed him via combat as well and then rezed him

Interesting that Astarion had dialogue if you were too far or stealth killed him. Mine for confronting and killing him was "First you kill me, then you ressurect me, what the hell do you want?" "Join me." "Okay"

@@MrEagorathNo, you have to one-shot him from stealth or else he sees you. Same for all the characters; if you instakill kill them from stealth they have different dialogue than killing them after they see you do it.

It's important to note there's a difference between the character knowing YOU killed them and not knowing.
Shadowheart actually has a few different reactions to being revived depending on the state of the artifact.

>If you revive her while she still has the artifact, she is neutral and can be recruited.
>If you have the artifact, she'll be angry and demand you give it back, in which you can refuse and she'll attack, or can give it back and she'll become neutral and recruitable again.
>If you discard the artifact or send it back to camp, she'll demand to know where it is and (if I remember correctly), becomes hostile.
Also if you revive her and she attacks you, you can knock her out or kill her, take her body back to camp, and revive her there, and she'll become neutral again. Though I don't know if this applies to any other companions as well.

I was watching Good Omen 2 (the series finale) and to my surprise I heard Gale. I checked and this is the same actor. He has a very minor role there, but you can't not recognize that voice.

Lae'zel has a different variant than that one. THe one you got after killing her while she was caged is the default one for when you dmg her when trying to get her out of the cage.
if she dies on the nautiloid she will have different dialogue when you res her on the beach.
and you can even bow to her!
If you kill Astarion in fight he goes "First you kill me then you bring me back. You make quite first impression"
Gale says he serves Mystra, but looks like he actually prefers Loviatar.

Yea, I was so disappointed when the worm didn’t crawl out after death, I mean it worked for the dwarf and the draw, the one for the player characters must have next level plot armor.
I think the connection all the tadpoles share explains it, like if they know you’re going to revive the person that has another tadpole, they just need to sit tight

I think you need a wish to resurrect her without the ticking bomb that she has for a heart.

@@MrAzulmagia No True Resurrection should do the job. It cures any ailment, even regrowing lost limbs or organs. Just separate the engine from her dead body before you cast it and she should be perfectly healthy afterwards. Then dump the engine in a deep cave or something. Or send it back to Zariel.

astarion's dialogue in this video is from if you stealth-kill him. if you get into a proper fight with him and then revive him, he says something like "first you kill me, then you bring me back? what do you want, exactly??"
Well fighting with Shadowheart is never hard, she always miss anyway.

That party size feels off. But I would prefer if the game worked like it does now with 4 ppl in world and fights. But in dialog you would get all the party members there since I hate to go to camp, swap the characters, go out, make the dialog, go to camp, swap to workable party again, go out and continue campaign every single dialog I dont have the members for...
Or make a more accessible UI where you can swap them from the menu
I lost the opportunity to rob a chest that seems to have a beholder inside because I went to camp for Astarion and when I returned from camp (not long rest) they were gone ffs
Use the party limit begone mod. Problem solved.

@@mauigonzNext time just pick the chest up and send it to camp, then make Astarion open it there. Or Gale cast Knock on it.
Id love to at least be able to go through the inventory of all my party members without having to dismiss one, add one, do what I need, dismiss THEM, and then add the other person back.

This can be interpreted in a multitude of ways.
Plot hole is that the tadpoles escape the body when a host dies, and resurrection is cannon and characters are aware they died , why not just kill everyone and then once thebtadpole escapes you just revive every party member ?
Because telepathic tadpoles know your thoughts and your plans.
They aren’t normal tadpoles. That’s kinda the plot of the whole game.

@however our team is shielded from the Brain by the Emperor.
@@Eugine1888 its not enough, at the end (spoilers incase ur not there yet !!) the brain knows abt the emperor n everyone else and has been leading us to them to bring all the netherstones so they could be free, we were part of its plan

I do believe their reactions are different depending on whether you stealth kill them or they witness you killing them, at least a couple of the companions

@@GiveMeTheRice ah, my good friend. I see you haven't had the pleasure of playing Dark Urge yet. I wont spoil anymore. But its easily the best way to play the game. its like Tav, but with an extremely interesting background. The amount of Dark urge content is insane. I can highly recommend it.

You got different dialogue for killing Astarion then I did, probably because he didnt know you specifically killed him. If you straight up murder him in a fight he says you made an interesting first impression
Astarion has unique reaction if you destroy the temple with him in it.
Man, everyone is poking fun at Neil Newbon for making Astarion too horny, but Gale over here be like:
Tav: **kills him**
Gale: "I'm willing to let bygones be bygones. Friends?"
Tav: **kills him again**
Gale: "Exploration merits companionship. Shall we?"
And this attitude is exactly how Gale seduced me.
I ended up killing Lae’zel when she found out Shadowheart had the artifact. I keep forgetting I could just resurrect her.

You know now I'm wondering what happens if you kill Karlaach, get the reward from the "Paladins of Tyr", get Mizora to let Wyll out of his contract (at least I think that was the deal?), and then revive Karlaach? Loophole? 😂Also that's really interesting that there's a unique reaction if you kill Shadowheart, take her artifact, then lose it because Laezel has it and at that point you're separated from her. The fact that they thought of that possibility at all and included unique dialogue for it is amazing and what I love about this game. Side note: I was so confused when I was wandering around in Act 1 and then checked my inventory to see I suddenly had the artifact! When I tried to get rid of it before it went right back to Shadowheart but then suddenly it was in my inventory? I thought it a glitch maybe but nah it's supposed to happen lol.

They respond differently if they know you killed them (I have only done that to astarion)
I believe they still let you have them join.

What happens if you kill and revive shadowheart a second time?
When I did it, the game only lets you revive her once, if she attacks you again for refusing to give her the artifact and you kill her again, she's gone for good.

Astarion has different voicelines depending on if you oneshot him or not :D edit: come to my attention that, every character has different lines regarding if they killed without spotting you (i.e oneshot whilst you sneak up on 'em)
I'm not sure any of my companions actually had a reaction to being revived
George Michael, i mean Gale, has the best one of them all.
What I don't get is why the tadpoles don't flee the body when they die, letting you capture or destroy them and then resurrect the characters cleansed of the parasite.
Yeah, when Shadowheart kills Laezel in camp, the parasite comes squirming out of her.

Mods. There is a mod on the Nexus that gives you everything in the game. Plus mods with armour look and colour edits.
It will be in the chest at the start of the game
So can someone explain to my why killing and resurrecting a character brings back the tadpole as well?
Like aside from the obvious out of universe answer of the easy solution in a world where Revivify is a thing.

Wouldn’t resurrecting Astarion cure him of his vampirism?
Unfortunately no. It revives him as a vampire. I think the only spells that can cure vampirism are True Resurrection (and I think they can't be dead long) and sadly the spell doesn't work like that in-game. The other is Wish. (I swear some other ones should be able to as well, like Divine Intervention feels like a perfect Spell to cure vampirism!) But they need Astarion a vampire for plot reasons lol
