    Thank you for your blunt honesty. The Veer and the Mandarin Oriental (now the Waldorf) were the only two condos I considered when I lived in Vegas. For me the reason it was between these two came down to walking and safety. I had no problem and felt safe walking to the casinos and their respective restaurants at any hour of the day from City Center. I didn't feel this way about the other condos viewed. I ended up choosing the Mandarin for two reasons. 1) The two bedroom unit I viewed in the Veer had the A/C blasting but I could still feel the heat pulsating within the condo due to the windows. 2) The cabinetry and fixtures felt like a college dorm decorated with IKEA shelving. Regarding the pillars, the Mandarin had them in unit I leased. I was told by the agent that all the corner end units had the pillars including their largest penthouse corner units.

      @TheBrokerLife  Год назад +2

      That is true! The corner units do have that in the Waldorf. The interior units do not. Those are great points though. The safety is one key reason people chose those towers. 👍

      Any other reasons you chose mandarin? We are planning our way there next year and the Veers location and view right on the strip is what are liking, we are going there to check it out more in a few months

      @@Tekneeq1 Everything about the Waldorf Astoria (previously Mandarin) is better in every way. The cabinets within the Veer just feel like they came from IKEA. I love cooking but I don't believe I've ever cooked a meal since it had 24/7 room service when it was ran by Mandarin and many great restaurants within a very short walk to the Aria. The only thing I disliked about the Waldorf units are their shower heads / mechanisms. They felt weak and I prefer a strong stream of water and also a rainhead. You will see what I mean when you tour a unit and test out the shower.

    Great vid~ I work at Aria with an employee who rents a place in Veer. We work in banquets which is almost a 24 hour thing. Sometimes we show up at work at 3am & sometimes we work a night shift that goes till midnight. All my friend has to do is wake up, splash some water on his face & walk 5 minutes to work. He owns a high end electric bicycle so parking is not an issue, so this place works for the right person. His rent is $1700/mo~ not much difference from the apartments around town & he doesn't have to deal with dreadful F1 traffic. I'm tired of being jealous of him so I may get a place here myself, and I really don't care if there is a support beam running through my kitchen~ I'll just hand post it notes on it lol

    I live in east vegas (didn't know better when I moved here a few years back) and am looking for a change, so I thought I'd try one of these buildings for a year, just to explore strip living for a bit, so I'm glad I found this video. All my friends here in town, though, were quick to say they wouldn't likely come visit if I did move there, heh. Plus I'd be trading 1600 sqft with 3BR and a garage for less house and higher rent.

    Thanks. Wasn't aware of that plumbing issue. The valet only thing seemed strange to me. That could really get to be a major pain having to
    get your car that way, especially if it is parked at the Aria. I imagine you would need to tip the valet every time you got your car too so if you needed to run multiple errands a day that could start to add up.

    • @TheBrokerLife
      @TheBrokerLife  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s your home no need to tip you do pay for it as part of your HOA already.

    Thanks! As someone who has looked into The Veer online numerous times throughout the year, I appreciate the inside information. The valet only idea didn't seem to make sense until you explained the issue with Aria. Also, not being able to open a window would drive me slowly nuts.

      @@TheBrokerLife The only reasons I can think of for the Waldorf is the cost and valet parking. You can buy a very nice house within a guard gated community for less than what their smallest one bedroom. Valet was never a problem for me but that was back in 2017. Everything else was a clear positive for me.

    wow, 1700.00 $ HOA, and you dont get a parking spot. These HOA rates are insane 690 units, comes to almost 1.2 million a month in HOA income.
    Too bad the other tower on the corner of the city center, Harmon Tower, was never built had much better views and floor plans.
    amazing to hear how bad the construction work in the city center was, lots of code issues, one of the most expensive building errors in modern history, resulting in 23-story building dismantled.
