Well, as far as I am concerned it’s nature that did most of the work on this bonsai, Mauro just added the finishing touches. If they made these demonstrations with plain nursery trees then we would really see how good these bonsai masters are. I mean, they clearly are masters but they also work on exceptionally beautiful material to start with.

You need to have a really precise and complex conceptual 3 D vision of what the tree is meant to look like at the end, right?
