Usually I watch RUclips in the background while doing something else. You are one of the only RUclips channels that I give my complete attention to while watching. I must say that you convey these stories amazingly. The fact that your shots are so amazing makes me wonder, do you have any previous experience working on filming?
Thank you so much! These words mean so much to me. To answer your question, I don't really. I picked a camera for the first time in my life last year when I decided to start the project. All I know is through learning on youtube, practice and watch a lot of other movies/documentaries. There's a lot of inspiring works available for free nowadays and I'm always trying to learn from them :) I must say though, I improvise a lot, so I'm always worried if my next short won't be as good as the last.
@@epochstories that's really interesting to know! I must say you're a quick learner because your videos, especially the way they're shot and edited feel like they were made by a seasoned filmmaker. Also the fact that you improvise a lot adds to the notion that you're a natural because that's what a lot of great directors and filmmakers do. Although it's not an apples-to-apples analogy due to the difference in genre, people like Scorsese and John Luc-Godard are famous for how quick they improvise shots, ideas and dialogues and solve problems.
@@dismissing thank you for the kind words. I try my best all the times. But to be honest, even though this documentaries come across as well planned or structured, I'm lost most of the times. This is obviously a behind the scenes struggle, but it does get very challenging trying to tell a story visually, specially when the topic or subject are not tangible, or as easy to film. This is not any kind of rant or something. I just like to share the struggles and failures of this process, because I think that's what makes this real. Hopefully I'll be able to share a video on patreon in the future showing how I work, but first I need to get at least one person on the team :)
I'm at work, so I clicked on the video not expecting to watch it til the end. Ten minutes later I realized I was completely immersed. This is beautifully shot and her voice is so captivating. Amazing.
"Today you may not feel good, but tomorrow you'll feel better. So focus on the goal of getting better every day." Is such a powerful quote and something so many people need to hear.
It's so "simple" right? It's ok to feel bad, we're all humans. We just need to keep remind ourselves that things do get better most of the times too :) it's not easy a lot of the times, but it's possible
This was so touching! Ana is so strong and inspirational! People like her deserve to have their stories heard, and I'm grateful to you for making that possible. :)
I just wish I could have a team to help me tell a lot more stories. So many things I want to share. Hopefully I'll be able to build it, step by step. Thank you very much for the support
Continuarei a fazer o meu melhor! Muito obrigado!
Hey Josh! I would recommend to search on youtube ''How to add captions in Premiere pro''. That will be more helpful than me trying to explain via comment :)

It keeps going up and down haha but that's ok, the focus is on the content now :)

How do you put your captions on your videos? I can't find a efficient way to do it in Premiere.
