After the soil was originally broken for my garden and corn patches with the single bottom plow, about the only thing I ever do with it these days is to make hills for my garden. Do one pass on the edge of the garden and then with the plow pulled as close to the rt hand rear tire as my chains will let me take it, I then simply run the reverse way with my tires on top of the mound the first pass left and it creates a nice sized mound just about perfect for tomatoes and beans. If you want a wider hill, simply lay the plow flatter and instead of running Ning your tires directly on top of the first pass mound, run just on the edge of it making 2 similar height mounds that when you plant things like squash or potatoes, they have a nice wide mound to spread out in and you will have to fight them less. If your real good you can even make hills by doing a cross hatch pattern with the plow and run it rather shallow. An example, this past year, we hadn't had a garden in 4 years due to sickness and surgeries making it almost impossible to plant one so my garden patch had grown way out of control. After burning everything off to kill as many weed seed as we could, I deep plowed with my single bottom mould board plow, waited 2 weeks for all the weeds to sprout and then using my 4 gang disk, disked all the hills down and broke up all the clods, for the most part any way. Then waited another 2 weeks for weeds to sprout again and then came in with the mould board plow set shallower than the first time and made rows with the valleys about 10 inches below the peaks, some were wide rows, some were narrow, depending on what we wanted to plant there.
I can tell already that I don't need a plow that size for my 790 John Deere then. I would have to get a smaller plow and not cut that deep too at first. I want to thank you for showing us how to plow and what type of plows we need for tractors of a certain size.
Is the plow running a little too deep, maybe draft control needs adjusting, or does it just appear that way in the video? I would love to have one of these single bottom plows for a MF-135. I enjoy the videos and refreshing information. Keep up the great work. How about building a 10" or 12" sleeve hitch plow with winch or hydraulic motor and cylinder for an ATV/UTV? That would be awesome! Thanks for the videos!
Do you have one of these with a combo subsoiler and plough. I have seen one subsoiler that allows you to take off the subsoiler and add a plough. Pretty neat package.
A question. I have stony soil. Not like lost river valley Wyoming, but I have some doozies. I'm going to break virgin ground. Should I subsoil it before plowing to get any huge stones up?

I have a kioti kl2510 with a tiller and a backhoe. For a baby tractor like this is there a plow option you suggest? Or would tilling and getting a hiller/bedder be better? Absolutely new to this sorry. Started my home orchard and vinyard a year ago. And only gardening I've done was corn and tomatoes last yyear. But have 2 acres I'm not using for trees so would like to do a bigger garden

Hy, I have IMT (or Industry of Motors and Tractors-Yugoslavia (now Serbia)) and everybody says, that they are same as Massey Ferguson. My question is: Is this plow are compatibile with my tractor?

Toliko je prosto napravljen da nema podesavanje zakrenutosti pluga! Ovo u Srbiji ne bi kupio ni onaj koji nema nikakav plug i ko nikad nije orao. Ovo je tipican primer coveka koji od dosade ne zna sta da radi pa je kupio dasku sa raonikom i glavom a uz pomoc aparata za varenje i sa malo reznih ploca, misli da nesta zna a ustvari,.....
