Your Letho sweater looks great! Love those colors and the tweed!

🙌👏🥳 The Letho looks great! I love the pop of light around the collar from a distance and the more subtle purple when you are up close. I would not tumble it dry, I would dry it flat regardless of the yarn label.
It’s funny - people don’t usually list “doom scrolling on my smartphone” as a hobby even when they invest a lot of time in that. I took a lot of social apps off my phone and it has drastically reduced my screen time. One hour is less than 5% of your day. 30 minutes a day is an easy way to fit in a lot of things. Take 30 minutes away from time on your phone and you could be reading, knitting, sketching, meditating, stretching - whatever it is you want to make time for. (I’m not scolding you - this is a motivational speech 😂)

Thanks for the advice, Colleen - about blocking and making better use of my time.
Funny enough, one of my coworkers said that when she goes home, she scrolls Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Then when she's finished, she starts over again until it's time for bed. 😱 I hope it was never like that for you.

Good to see you again! This afternoon I am beginning the border on my king size afghan. It’s a long way around and the border I am doing has 5 rounds. So, this will take awhile.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. That'll be hard to get full pictures of for IG, but I look forward to seeing it.

I'm very happy with the Queen Sandy bag you sent, no worries! You are very generous to podcast and Sandy to donate! I won a prize from the Joji kal 🥳 I've finished my gift knitting...why do I feel like I am forgetting someone? 😅 love the Letho!

Congratulations on the Joji kal win! I hope you remembered everyone for gift knitting. That's always my greatest fear too.

Love your sweater!! The details are really nice. While I watched this episode I finished a hat I’m knitting for my older daughter to match the scarf I already finished (Christmas gift). Then I had to rip back because it was a bit too small. 😮 Also no worries about the bag, whenever you are able to mail it. Thank you again!

Thanks, Eileen. Sounds like you're on top of your gift making. The bag will go out in the mail today.

    Your Letho sweater is beautiful!
I’ve been working on a couple of gifts, advent socks, and have been taking an online class for the Svendsdatter sweater, which has been great. Am gearing up for my first steek - wish me luck! 😊

Currently I'm crocheting a scrappy hexi blanket just for the fun of it. I'm knitting Christmas socks for my husband in secret so it's a surprise. Between work, family and friends I haven't had much crafting time. I hope to make up for that over the weeks leading up to Christmas.

That sounds great, Joyce. I hope your husband loves his new socks.
Congratulations on winning the Queen Sandy bag!

I think the difference in collars may be because of the way it was photographed. She is holding it out sideways.
      I think yours looks great.

I’m working on the Anthology Throw as an advent. However 20 grams a day is too much for me so I am already behind. Hope you are enjoying the holidays!!

    • @pandemicknitter
      @pandemicknitter  8 месяцев назад

@peggymcfeeters7043 that's a good one. I have wanted to do that one. I can see how 20 grams of fingering weight yarn could be a lot to get through in a day.

I am definitely in the full swing gift-knitting mode. I have even made a makenine gift knitting board. So far I finished 5 circular dishcloths, and currently working on a cabled cardigan for my daughter. AND finishing a laceweight scarf for a friend 😂 probably a little over ambitious, but it’s kind of fun to spend December knitting for others. Isn’t that the spirit of Christmas?

    • @pandemicknitter

You're definitely ambitious. Crossing my fingers that you finish on time. Merry Christmas!

Love your sweater. Today I’m working on the bind off of a 7/8ths Shawl, across 307 stitches.. Decided to do a picot bind off. I’m sure I’ll like it when I’m done, but not liking it so much in the moment. I do the 7/8th without the collar and add icord ties at the neck instead.

I love a picot bind off. That's a lot of stitches. I hope to see it on IG when you finish.

Beth, I've found when printing some patterns, I have to change a print setting from 100% size to something less to prevent some content from being cut off. I think it's mostly when the pattern is from a European designer and their paper dimensions are different/larger than US sizes. Maybe that will help in your situation.

Great suggestion. Thanks, Lou Ann. I'll try that next time.

I'm so far behind on podcast. Your letho looks great. I bet once it's blocked it will be even better.
