Is it weird for the federal government to get charges on you after four years and never come get you even though it’s been two years since the warrant has been issued? Have you ever heard of them waiting so long to get the warrant and take so long to come pick the person up??
Valuable information thanks : I have a question if you have been indicted does that mean the grand jury has already viewed the evidence and charges ? And decided to indicate someone? If so at what stage can your attorney defend you by challenging the evidence? Is that not an option ? Last question if the grand jury decides to indict only one of the three charges presented. Can the state attorney threaten you with additional charges if you don’t take their plea?
Yes. The grand jury returns an indictment. They hear the evidence by the government, but the defense is not heard at that stage. The first opportunity that you have to defend the Charges is at trial. U.S. Attorneys Office frequently threatens to file additional charges if someone doesn’t take a plea at an early stage, but if the grand jury did not indict on those charges, they would have to reconvene to get what we call a superseding indictment to add those charges.

Am I legally allow to answer "NO” to this question: "have you ever been charged with a crime?" If I accepted a pre-plea
In what situation?
@@dianebass5251in a citizenship application.
@@dianebass5251a friend was arrested for theft… her lawyer got a pre-plea deal for her before the arrangement to dismiss the case
Does this course of action result in a 5k1
Yes. If you can provide the government with "substantial assistance" in the prosecution of another or others.
Will you be notified about a grand jury? If not how could enter a plea before you've been charged?
You might know that you’re under investigation.
