today is July 16th 2015, I went to Dorney park and I got on the steel force, best ride ever!!!!! despite the first hill this ride is a pure rush and a lot of fun!!!!
I love the huge trains that Morgan puts on their hyper coasters, if you're sitting in the back it really whips you over the top of that drop and dives off the mid point brake run! Plus they're comfortable and you're not locked in tight.
Have never understood the love for this ride. I got minimal airtime when I rode, toward the back as well. I probably went on a bad day, but still vastly prefer Skyrush, AC, and Nitro.
I've always wanted to ride this at Dorney Park!! Can you do some footage of the Six Flags Great America coasters and POVs of the Six Flags Great America coasters? It would be awesome :)
Thegoliathguy22 We've already filmed all the coasters at Six Flags Great America. Do you know how to do a search of videos on our channel? If not, let us know & we'll gladly help.
Rarely. I've gone to Dorney for many years and I've only seen them run 3 trains once. They do swap the trains to keep all 3 running but 99% of the time they just have 2 going which is just fine on an average day. These Morgan trains are big too, they seat 36 people fully loaded.
I have a pretty bad fear of roller coasters. And I'm riding this Thursday. And I'm pretty nervous. Is this pretty scary for a first time roller coaster rider?
I'd say your two best options for your first roller coaster (and I'm just talking about types of coasters here) are the mine train coaster and the suspended coaster, because both have very blunt elements and are incapable of inversions, high drops, and sudden changes in G-force. Unfortunately, neither of those types are at Dorney Park, and the latter is very rare nowadays. The park closest to you that has both a mine train coaster and a suspended coaster is Cedar Point. If you can't reach either of those types of coasters, I'd say try a wooden out-and-back. Hypercoasters like this are never a good option for a first roller coaster if you're afraid of riding them. You feel like you're about to plummet to Earth at a big height with the fall lasting several seconds. I've never been to Dorney Park, but I have ridden a roller coaster with a 114-foot drop, and given that that made me feel like I was plummeting for a long few seconds, I can imagine that falling down a hypercoaster is much more terrifying. If there is a much smaller, wooden out-and-back at the park, I'd say go for that instead. If not, I suggest driving to Cedar Point sometime soon and doing either Cedar Creek Mine Ride or Iron Dragon. Now, I'm not saying that you should avoid the really big coasters altogether. I'm just saying you should start at the low-level rides and work your way up. If you find that the smaller- and medium-sized roller coasters aren't that bad over time, and you feel like you're ready for ones like these, then by all means, go on it! But I advise getting used to them first. And this isn't a foolproof plan; you might never feel ready for the big ones!
These Morgan hypers seem to be almost exactly the same. They are all pretty similar always, the only one that seems different is Phantoms Revenge. They do seem to look good though, but they don't seem as good as say an intamin or B&M hyper.
Nova_Gamer It's not rough at all, it's very smooth. They look a like but they're made by different companies. Arrow Dynamics built Magnum and Steel Force was built by Morgan Company. I haven't ridden Magnum but I've heard it's gotten rough over the years. I've been on Steel Force countless times though and it's very smooth and packs a great thrill with tons of positive G forces and air time! Dorney Park takes good care of it too, they just refurbished the lap bars on the trains for this season and replaced some of the brakes. It's my favorite coaster in the park!
+CoasterForce so its goliath at six flags magic mountain, accept its an out and back, slightly shorter, more "triangular," more airtime, and now that I think about it it's completely different accept for the drop angle :P (don't know where I was going with that...) Lol
It's honestly one of the better ones, better than Steel Eel and if your for air time over general wierdness better than Steel Phantom's Revenge (the latter one used be an arrow and shame it wasn't left that way).
Do you hate it that much they would never remove this people love it to much and it holds the record for the longest coaster in the northeast part u.s and its to big to tear down on short notice if any ride there should get torn down its stinger and it was im not to happy about it but it was way to rough it hurt alot
Would you shut up? It's 21 years old, that is nothing compared to other coasters out there. Take for instance Thunderhawk, that's still at Dorney and it's 94 years old! Steel Force is one of the park's most popular rides as well as the largest, it's not going anywhere. One day you'll realize that older roller coasters are actually some of the best ones out there.
Steel Force isn't going anywhere anytime soon don't listen to this guy I work at Dorney Park and was told by the owner that Steel Force will be around for a long time so don't worry Steel Force fans
there's no reason why they'd remove Steel Force. Morgan Hyper's are solid and no one's removed one yet. This isn't universal, they don't live to tear down everything lol. What they really need though is another solid looping coaster and a really nice GCI wooden coaster or RMC.
First ever roller coaster I've ever been on in my entire life.
This video sure brings back memories!
Thank you! ☺️☺️☺️
mine was at kanobles!!!!
Steel Force is still an amazing ride even today!
This was the first roller coaster I went on, it's honestly a lot of fun
In Kansas City's Worlds Of Fun, this coaster is known as Mamba. Really fun, smooth ride.
BertonRucker1 Yup, Morgan built that a year after Steel Force in 1998. They're a lot a like but they have their differences in layout.
Same track design as Wild Thing at Valley Fair, and it is 7 feet shorter

Blake Stoudt you get the most airtime either in the very front or very back.
im pretty sure the middle to front have more airtime also depends how tight the restraints are
Nope ur opinion's wrong steel force is better than ur other stinky hypercoasters reee
@@angrygrouse4989 hon, go back to 2nd grade. Opinions can't be wrong
Pure nostalgia for me. This was my first coaster ever. Lol
Can't wait to ride it this summer!!!!!!!!!!

I love it. Looks fun. Must go try it.
One of my favorite coasters

Classic out-and-back Hyper* coaster... look at it, just look at it! Flaunting it!
***** It's a Hyper Coaster
oh yeah, thanks. You know what I meant. I'll edit accordingly.
Love this Ride!!!!
This coaster is nearly indistinguishable from Magnum if you're not ready for the images.
Looks like a great coaster.
I went here for the summer with my brother and cousins and when we went down I scream hard and loud when the picture took
QUESTION : I noticed that the third train is sitting dormant. How often do they run three trains?
Ryan Blanche never

Ryan Blanche I've seen it during the holiday season labor day etc basically whenever they're extremely busy

Paige Weneck there is, it just tightens you up when you go down.

Hydra has a very beautiful corkscrew.

Bobby T. Yes true but these are classics 3before b&m and intamin hypers
Philadelphia Chan Brothers
This ride was the tallest, fastest and longest coaster on the east coast, and then there came superman ride of steel at sfne
Ryan S I hate superman
2:22 the two riders in front posing for the ride cam LOL!
You'll see that a lot on this ride with people who know where it is and are in groups haha.
Is this ride scary because I'm going to dorney park tomorrow?
Bikelife AJ No, It's SO Smooth! I went on it and it was great! Well, except for the chainlift park :P
Tem Cat Do you feel like you’re gonna fall out ? Cause I hate that.
That looks awesome!!!!!
Possessed is always down when I go. I swear that coaster is always down

Two Halfs Of A Heart Did you read the video description? ;-) We already filmed an on-ride POV video and the link is in the video description.
Ugh, love Morgan hypers
I still cant believe I went on that
Sure would like to go.

the first drop is actually 73 degrees I should know I was on it 3 times in a row along with hydra and all the other coasters at dorney
Not too bad after that first drop
Welp, I f**** Love it!!!!
Going there tomorrow
Nice park
I think it’s better than Millennium Force. Fight me.
Though Morgan hypers are not my thing, this one looks full of ai-time. I've never ridden this one, so I'll try.
Ralphoizzer It is full of airtime, it's a lot of fun! The positive Gs at the bottom of the hills and around that helix are epic too.
It's honestly one of the better ones, better than Steel Eel and if your for air time over general wierdness better than Steel Phantom's Revenge (the latter one used be an arrow and shame it wasn't left that way).
Dont ride it if you hate to fly in your seat because almost the whole ride is airtime
Do you have a favorite roller coaster at Dorney? If so, what is it?
*|Insert Ghost Phantom Thing Here|*
I somehow got some airtime on the drop
Fantastic
Wonder full ride .
I want a different company to buy dorney and give it the attention it deserves like sea world or merlin entertainment

Maurice Long Why are you on every Dornen coaster video saying lies about when these rides will be taken down
The Drop is pretty shaky..
But instead of it being wood like el toro it’s metal
I see it on kick the buddy
Morgan. The higher quality Arrrow
the ones who ripped the awesome inversions out of steel phantom but at least kennywood got sky rocket like a thousand years later.
true very very true
OneAndOnlySound that's no problem mean the inversions where fun but they were really painful the new version is great to
it will be removed by 2018
