mine did the same. i replaced the head to "upgraded version" from makita and now that new head failed allso. there is some serious desing problem and even they createt new desing of it, it still wont work or last more than year.

I don't understand why you did not show what breaks, all you did was remove and replace......what part failed?
I think I would spend $70 to repair a $200 tool, but not a $100 tool

It was clogged injectors
Same happened with mine after about 3 times usage. I like makita but this is an absolute junk.
