It’s amazing how clean & tidy the P.Way & Infrastructure is. Puts the Overground, London Underground, and heavy rail to shame! Just shows what can be achieved with care & commitment. ps: The Glasgow Underground is affectionately known locally as the “Clockwork Orange”. Three reasons: 1) It’s painted Orange. 2) It goes round & round & round… 3) It was designed to only connect the rich Protestant parts of the city. Serves Ibrox (Glasgow Rangers) but not the dilapidated Catholic East End and Celtic Park (Glasgow Celtic). Our Dutch 🇱🇺 friends will understand the Orange significance…
OMG look at how badly the oncoming DLR is swaying from 2:22 to 2:26. You can literally see the coupling that is attached to the wheel boogies oscillating back and forth. That is crazy how much it sways though. It seems like it is about to derail! A very severe case of Hunting Oscillation here.
The power is picked up from the third rail itself but unlike London Underground trains, the contact between the pick-up shoes and third rail is at the bottom.
excuse my ignorance, but is the power picked up by that cental rail or the outer 3rd rail? i don't live anywhere near London but it's a cute railway like that one up in Glasgow that goes round the city underground. must visit both sometime.
Brilliant, ones sees where one is, so you are for the views. Many thanks

Guys whats the song called in the background?
The third rail, seems to Ridges evenly spaced, pick up shoes would be decimated!!? So where is the power coming from? Patrick, Northamptonshire

The white thing next to the track is the elevated 3rd rail.
why is this uploaded at 30fps? 60fps is quite necessary for cab rides!

It's the outer 3rd rail, bottom contact, same as is used on the Amsterdam metro.
