I will invite an elder to talk to us at some point. Although I can, I am not an initiate yet, so it’s not my place to go in-depth; I have to pay homage. Thank you for your request.
I agree with you. There is also a phonological argument for the difference. This argument is as follows. If Ẹlẹ́gbà were derived from Ẹlẹ́gbára, it would have been ẹ́lẹ́gbá or Ẹlẹ́gbáa because (1) Yorùbá often preserves H tone in the deletion of vowel and (2) “r” deletion does not always lead to vowel deletion.
Greetings, there is a song by Mongo Santamaria, famous conga player, percussion musician, called “Eleguara”. He was from Cuba. Do you know if that word it rhymes from “Elègbara”? If not, do you have any idea what the word Eleguara means?
We already have the power; we don’t need Èṣù to give us the àṣẹ to make decisions. Èṣù’s role is to ensure we don’t misuse that power, if that makes sense: ruclips.net/video/XEJWZYCo7pc/видео.html

Yes I name Eshu as Elegbara = Egbara, because we can translate it by the power to make decisions by ourselves.
