Honestly, that 82 round kite fest was the best part of the series!
At this stage of the playthrough, Loynis is the kind of veteran general in the fantasy novels who can win battles no matter the odds - like Tywin Lannister or Dalinar Kholin.
I'm surprised that you're uninterested in shackles of war. Probably the best artifact at this point of the game.
It kinda slipped my notice during recording but it'll get plenty of use in the next episodes, dw!

you know, I was watching this and I was like "thank goodness he's not gonna get into another fight that he's gonna have to re-do for hours on end like in the Christmas special", and then you went and kited Golems for 80 rounds... my word, where do you get this amount of patience??

My dad showed this game to me when I was younger unfortunately I was too dumb to understand how the mechanics of the game even worked but I loved it anyway and played until HOMM 5 which I also did not understand how to play, honestly watching these runs has rekindled my love for the franchise and recently bought both HOMM 3 and 5 (bc screw 4) on GOG. Now that I’m in my 20’s I’m looking forward to enjoying the game now that I can understand what’s happening how I should have been playing and not just fighting with attrition. Been learning a lot from your videos looking forward to more.

You could still narrate the fight in post production, instead of text. Perhaps in a dramatic voice to emphasize the passage of time.

Not that the strategy you employ isn't sound, but just wondering if you have a game on video that is based more on troop numbers and combat and gathering resources with limited hero skills/magic?
