Looks amazing! I have to admit when I saw the thumbnail my eyes were immediately drawn to the fuel filter as I've owned a few VWs back in the day and those little fuel filters were a bit of a bane to me from time to time. A much nicer use for them in this little guy! Great job!
Thanks EncouragingThings! Glad I was able to leave you with a positive impression of the filters! 😁 I would have to agree that I also prefer this usage of them myself given my own personal experiences! Glad you enjoyed the build and thanks for sharing!
Jeff, I'll do a video soon where I go into more detail with the weathering so you can see it step by step. It's taken me a long time to figure out (and I still have a long way to go) but it's not too difficult to achieve the weathering that I do once you get the hang of it. I'm happy to try and help you with your weathering techniques if you would like. Just let me know where you are getting stuck, or have challenges, and I'll see what I can do to assist. Also, if you haven't already, please check out a couple of my other videos where I show some of the detailing steps. I show some of my process in this one: ruclips.net/video/CJ6Qm_x2OuE/видео.html
Vwdy nice service bot, kind of got Wall-e vibes with this little guy (a service bot still going strong years after civilisation has fallen). I've always thought see-thru filters like this one were cool and wanted to work one into a robot design, but never thought to make it the body. Very creative!! Love the gripper claws you made here...definately stealing this design. 😁 Thanks for sharing and keep on keeping on!!
Thanks Earl! I'm glad you enjoyed the build and I'm definitely getting some Wall-e feedback on this robot, although I have to say, I didn't plan it that way this time! Feel free to copy my design! I'm honored!
LOL Iscog! Yes, I hope you took out the batteries as well! If not....you may not be able to get them out! I loved the Armatron, so much so, that I've considered buying one on Ebay just to have one again. I wish I had never gotten rid of mine, but there are only so many things that make it from your childhood to adulthood, and unfortunately, I'm not even sure what happened to mine. It's been a while! Glad you enjoyed the build, and please do let me know if you were able to get your Armatron out of storage!
It's VACUDROID!! Awesome build. I don't want to be picky, but are you using baking powder, or baking soda? I've heard of the soda being used, but not the powder. (Plus, baking soda is cheaper...😁) Thanks in advance!!!
Hi Alan. Yes, it's baking powder! I've been meaning to try baking soda but haven't so far. I may give it a try and do a comparison video for anyone interested. Glad you enjoyed the build.
Great little machine! Now to get him to clean up my dystopian desk!! Nicely done Mark ‼️
New robot! Thanks Mark!

Thanks Cerise! I'm glad you enjoyed the build!
That is just awesome , l imagine this vacuum bot on a retro Sci-fi film cleaning up in a boffins workshop 😄 👍
Thank you! I didn't start out with a vacuum robot in mind. It just kinda happened and so I ran with it! 😂
Mark I really like Your work, its very genuine and well thought out, I am A sub.
On smooth surfaces like that fuel filter, scotch tape works way better than masking tape.
Great! Cool idea with that filter 👌colours are 👌too
Thanks ModellbauGeschichten! I've been eyeing that filter for a while now for something like this! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

The true annihilator of dust and mites.
Very cool bot. I think you should have put some dust and debris inside on the filter. Cleaver idea.

Thank you Danny! I appreciate it. I'm working on more exciting projects now and hope to be able to share them very soon.

Nice vac bot. I have a armatron, now I want to dig it out of storage. (I hope I took out the batteries).

WALL-E's long lost cousin!
Yes Deborah! I didn't plan it that way but I can definitely see the resemblance!
