My bad just seeing this now, heres the codes you need to enter into the game. Theyre gameshark codes. Pokémon 1: 820242D4 00FF Pokémon 2: 82024338 00FF Pokémon 3: 8202439C 00FF Pokémon 4: 82024400 00FF Pokémon 5: 82024464 00FF Pokémon 6: 820244C8 00FF
Charmander is better since fire melts the ice. You won't need to roll the 1/5 chance. Most fire like ember, flamethrower, etc also is special so not much of a change there. Squirtle would help with leveling later since rock types are a dime a dozen, but Charmander would help you get off the ground.
@@LoganTheCosmonaut I mean it depends on which system this runs off, if you're using fire-red, then it should since it runs off of gen 3. Otherwise, squirtle is the best pick, though you'll have to painfully grind best to first reset until you get a good squirtle (+spatk, -speed preferrably), then kill the rival for the 1 level, then snowball from there. Every extra level means a bit more leeway. Lategame, you can use recovery or sleeptalk - rest to cheese some of the conditions, Recovery / roost is good, and using moves like fly could help with stalling out the conditions. If you can't stall out the conditions or rest doesn't work cause the conditions overwrite it, which is slightly dumb, then you're better off using recoil moves recklessly, since they do more damage. Poison types like Vileplume / Victreebel depending on your version will do to avoid the ever-increasing poison. Toxic stalling will definately do well, but the items needed would be massive. that's my thoughts anyway. Might need testing for the specifics cause my knowledge is a mish-mash of many gens.
When hit by fire moves you always thaw but when using them to my knowledge doesn't, I could entirely be wrong tho tbh. Getting a good squirtle and beating the rival would have def been the optimal way to start out for sure, it'd be a lot easier to get to level 7 that way for bubble, then Brock would be free. I'm not too sure how rest and moves like sleep talk would work so it would require some testing! Also I think the poison damage would still work, I've seen people do "always poisoned" runs before choosing Bulbasaur and it still hurts Bulbasaur. These strats are pretty good tho, the only hard part would just be getting to them!
@LoganTheCosmonaut theres 10 specific moves that will thaw out a pokemon when used by the frozen pokemon, but only 1 of them is in gen 3 afaik, and thats sacred fire
I’d personally catch a few mons. Route 1 tends to have a high capture rate. Then I’d book it over to viridian forest and farm Metapods. Switching out mons resets the poison counter in gen 3 during battle. Since HP is probably the most important number for this challenge. Fighting Caterpies for 1 HP Ev per encounter is probably best. You’ll want to do this 252 times for 252 HP EVs. Later, money is going to be an issue. You might want to consider Meowths for the Pickup ability to gather resources. Failing at Nugget Bridge for infinite Nuggets. Etc.
More mons would probably be better then just brute forcing it like it did lol, it gives you more chances to unfreeze and resetting the stacking poison would be pretty nice! The only problem would be actually being able to beat the caterpies for hp evs lmao
I think the challenge should more likely be "Pokémon, but I gain a permanent status condition after every gym" and it'd even out the split of difficulty a bit. Cuz the early grind gonna be hell otherwise.. Also it shouldn't have to effect outside battle like poison does, that is not sane.
Oh my Pokémon wakes up, the game doesn’t know how to display multiple statuses at once (this is just my guess) so it defaults to showing sleep when a Pokémon has all of them 🙂
How do I play that modification? I would like to try it.

I thought so as well but in my very limited testing I used an Arcanine and fire moves from it didnt work 😀

Play sun or moon and get komala
Komala would make this challenge freee lol

Agreed but I like doing insane things lmaooo
How did you attack when asleep?

@@LoganTheCosmonaut makes sense. Thanks for explaining. Great video if not a expected outcome
@@davidcoplon3056 no problem at all bud, and thank you, I appreciate it! 🙏
Small ant is crazy enough to do it
I'd be down to watch it if he did 😎
Ain't no way, that's impossible for even him with Fire Red atleast
Try without freeze and u can prob make it also you are very underrated
I probably will try it without freeze and see, also thank you that means a lot to me! 🙂
Keep up the great work, you’re amazing and very entertaining
Thank you, I really appreciate it! I will keep it up! 🙏🙏
Try your luck on catching Full HP mons. This might give you some wiggle room in training Squirtle.
I didn't think of it at the time but this strategy would have probably helped!
Logan’s Pokémon be like - 🔥 ⚡️ 😴 🥶 ☠️ anyways fire vid Logan. Stream was mad fun
YOOO Acerz I appreciate you bud! 🙏🙏
I feel like the best way to get some xp early is to catch pokemon by just chucking pokeballs
If this was in a more recent generation of Pokémon then yea but that feature wasn’t implemented until Gen 6 and FireRed was in Gen 3 🙂
@@LoganTheCosmonauthe’s still onto something though, with a full party you could tank through all the status and slowly level up mons
