wow this song brought me to 40years ago when I was dentist student in the Philippines and I heard this song Anak that time is was 25 years old and now I am 65 years old. I married to a Filipina girl now we live in Iran. Still when I listen to this song I remember my good filipino friends and Philippines and tears is coming down from my eyes. God bless you all Philippinos and I hope to see Philippines in very near future Amen

In 1993, I work in Dubai and we had a co worker from Iran, he’s so very kind and very friendly to us, we used to call him Kuya Masood because he’s like an older brother to us. One time he went home for a vacation and when he back, he gave us “pasalubong” precious gifts.
He’s one of a kind as I missed his company. Now I’m in another foreign land but there are times that I’m still missing our memories.

I could tell by the way the lyrics made her tears drop that it was a very special song for her. Then recently I found the English interpretation, and although it's not exactly like the Tagolag version, it was very moving.

I just watched a Dutch woman sing this song and its the first time I have heard it. I had to search for the original artist and came here. Freddie has been on loop for the last two hours. So beautiful to listen to and watch to him. I was born the same year as him and it took all this time for this song to reach me. I am blessed.
