Hey! Thanks for this great review! I have already ordered the R12 but getting some more knowledge about the wheel and settings is always welcome, and you explained everything very well to someone new to DD wheels ( Coming from T500rs ). Sadly the delivery time in here in Scandinavia ( Norway, Sweden, Denmark ) is very long and I must wait roughly 10-12 weeks for shops to get the R12 in stock. Its a very popular wheel and Moza needs to up production. I already have the Moza Shifter, CS C2 Wheel and load cell pedals + Next Level Racing GTTtrack rig. The wait is killing me :D
@@simracingden After your review, I definitely think I did a good purchase! :) The wait is long but worth it, its mainly in anticipation of Assetto Corsa 2 next year so I got some time to kill. And thanks for making such a great video, very very helpful.
Thank you for this review, you have convinced me to go for R12 and KS combo (with SR-P). Coming from T300RS, now that I finally completed the set, I got quite the absolute treat indeed and I'm set for life now.
Nice review. Another point of view is appreciated when about to drop some good money on a setup to get an overall picture/general consensus about it. Thanks.
I’m trying to decide between Moza and simagic ecosystem. When all said and done simagic will be approximately double the price for everything I plan to purchase. Thank you for a great video review. I’m now leaning toward Moza as I can’t see that approx double the money will give me double the entertainment.
Everyone who has tried both says the simagic Alpha mini is stronger, far better FFB, and better eco system. I have read this all over the internet. So I went with simagic. Hope that helps.
Does the SRP pedal RJ cable work with the base now or does it still have to be plugged in via USB? I've been reading that it doesn't work with the base port as of yet. How does it compare with the T818 in terms of FFB?
I'm uncertain because I haven't had the chance to test it with SRP pedals. However, I'll reach out to my Moza contact for clarification. When comparing it to the T818, I found the R12 to be a significantly better overall experience. Given the choice, I would prefer the R12 over the T818 any time.
Thanks for the great review. This combo is definitely on my short list. Btw, What carbon surround frame and mounting solution are you using for your StreamDeck +?
Thanks! The mount and enclosure is from my affiliate Sim Sport Gadget here is the link if you use my discount code you get 5% off THESIMRACINGDEN collabs.shop/xb41i9
I have ordered the R3 Xbox bundle for my Xbox series X. Will it be possible to replace the R3 wheel base with the R12 for use with the Xbox? I might want to upgrade the R3... Thank you for a great video and channel 👍🎮🙏
@@simracingden Thank you for your reply, really appreciated. Moza replied to my email today and told me that they didn’t know, customer service.. Thanks again 🙏
From what I’ve read from others online, people who have the Alpha Mini love it and criticise the R9/R12, but that could be their biases shining through. Not many people criticise the performance of the Alpha/Alpha Mini. I’ve not tried either. I will not buy a Simagic product because of their customer service strategy and what I’ve heard about their PR practises. There are lots of different pros/cons of different brands and models. There is no “best” wheelbase and what someone else prioritises in one may not be a priority for you.
I love the KS wheel. The R12 is right around the sweet spot for DD. What I want to know. How does one get the rear view to show on my Monitor? 🤔 That is what I am missing. Can someone DM me or reply how to get the rear view display?
@@simracingden I want to use my 10 inch display to show the rear view of the car. I tried to use OBS and another third party app on my phone but it is too many steps.
Seems like MOZA doesn't need fancy advertising sell their products unlike other companies. Just make good products and have good customer service and that's what they are doing. Listening to customers about the hardware want included in their product range for all types of driving sims.
Zzzzzzzz standard review WEEKS late!!!! Not your fault Mr content creator. Sim racing is basically at a stand still and nothing is really new. Adding a tad bit more power isn't something to write about. Rim not tested on other wheel bases. No 3rd party wheels tested on the base. This is just more fluff advertisement!!! Disappointing good sir. 😊
I received the wheelbase from Moza later than expected. Unfortunately, my graphics card failed, causing additional delays in finishing the review. Moza also missed sending the hubs and accessories, which means I can't test it on third-party items yet. However, I'll create a follow-up video and anticipate that it will perform as expected.

This does look like a great combo

asked Moza directly and they said it can be USB or you can just a USB to RJ45 adapter to connect the pedals directly to the hub or wheelbase.
awesome vdo , great and simple info
Thank you!

I am looking to get a a full on sim rig here soon. Still can't decide what brand to get but this is very appealing.
Nice! Good luck with the setup. This Moza is really nice worth checking out IMO
I am not sure if you have used it before. But, Would you consider this a better option than the simagic alpha mini?

Sorry haven't tried the Simagic Alpha Mini yet but hoping to get my hands on one soon so I can offer a comparison.
Your SQ shifter looks sick. Which one is that?
That’s the Oktane Designs SEQ V2. I recently reviewed it check out the video here: ruclips.net/video/64fwnFefkXE/видео.htmlsi=wY2fJ3B1lv8fjJT6

Are you referring to the virtual rear view mirror or the cockpit rear view mirror? And in what sim?

@@n00bSimRacingOh I see. I haven't experimented with that yet but like you said I've heard the process can be a little clunky.
Check out a program called display magician if you haven't already. That might help you out.

Agree MOZA is pumping out great value products and I haven't any issues thus far with any of the products I've reviewed.
You wouldn’t happen to know how to turn off the LED, would you?
Honestly I find the r9 plenty strong enough.
Yes I agree probably is for most but the 12nm is the sweet spot IMO
i honestly can't quite tell if this is an ai voice or a real voiceover
