I liked the Kazakh-made Jamba Cola. The most important thing is that profits from the sale of carbonated drinks will no longer flow abroad, which has a positive effect on the Russian economy.
While I prefer water or juice, but maybe also try Pepsi. The primary flavors in almost all colas including coke are lemon, lime, orange, vanilla and cinnamon. They just all have different amounts of each. I like your final message in the end. Water is the best.

Svetlana, I have not had coke or Pepsi products for a long time. Both are very high in sugar and I have a family history of diabetes, so I have to watch what I eat or drink. I just went for a medical checkup with my family doctor. My health is not bad but she says that if I take steps now, I can lower my sugar and cholesterol.
The Kazakh Coca-Cola I believe is a Zero Caffeine Coca-Cola version (golden/bronze top lid) - so the taste can easily be different from the regular Russian (original) Coca-Cola (red top lid) and the Russian version of the original Coca-Cola Zero (black top lid).
Here in South America, we also had Coca-Cola with coffee in the small bottles for a short time. But apparently this was not so well received by customers. Except with me. I still look in different malls, if one can be found there. Wish you still a nice weekend .Chilled cola may well taste different. As for taste testers, you should use a neutralizer for the tongue after the different flavors. What that could be, I do not know at the moment, possibly a little piece of bread.

i drink ginger ale from time to time, actually is supposed to help your stomach, but sparkling water is enough for me, my body is too damn sensitive to sugar now, coke during a hangover was great back in the day, a rootbeer float or that first sip of cream soda is nice too!
Same. I was on diet colas for a while, but even dropped that in 2015. The only carbonated stuff for me now is knockoff LaCroix and the odd bottle Jarritos or Mexican Squirt. That's probably how I've managed to stay at my weight/size despite pushing 50.

if you are a coke drinker you won't like RUssian replacements, most are comparable to thinned RC cola or our 1.000 3 litter version. But natural sugar ones and plum soda is good. Its like the original doctor pepper.

Coke is great...with a little Rum. In America there's a lot of off-brand Coke and Sprite and Dr Pepper..they all taste basically identical but just a tiny beat weaker and they seem to go bad faster. In the UK almost all soda drinks have fake sugar because of 2018 sugar tax, one of the only drinks that has genuine full sugar is coca cola original. So you are lucky in Russia if you can still get many drinks with full genuine sugar.

You have to ask yourself what is russian, and you have to want to promote and love what is russian coz it is yours. Cocacola is not yours. See, you have to have pride for your country, you have to love what your country produces because that is yours. In South Africa, we have lots of food products of our own and we pride ourselves in seeing our own produce on the shelves than imported stuff coz that tells us that we independent and established as a nation. Whenever something is made in our country, we buy that instead of all else coz it is ours and it represents us.

Tom Rio below is right. The original recipe is far from what it originally tasted like in the beginning. In the beginning it had real coca leaves or cocaine. 🤔 when I was a small boy it tasted delicious but not anymore. Now it's some nasty cheap thing that is really bad for your health. Too much sugar and unhealthy ingredients. I stopped drinking it because it so destructive on ones teeth and ones health. Even sweet snacks now it's so sweet. It's no wonder people live such a short life. I can barely even eat snickers, mars bars, Turkish Delight any more it contains so much sugar it's sickening. 😫 Anyway don't drink coke it will destroy your teeth. Teeth are so painful. The last tooth I had pulled was the most agonising experience of my life. I wanted to die it was that bad. 😖

I barely ever drink any Coca Cola still I could buy a truckload of it from the convenience store just 500 meter away from my home door. Although I like the refreshing taste of Coca Cola, I have not drunk any in years and I feel great, I don't miss it. Coca Cola contains too much sugar and is very acid, so it is pretty bad for our teeth enamel and slightly irritative for the stomach. By the way, it contains a lot of caffeine too, which is not necessarily bad, just lightly stimulating.
Coke in America tastes awful too, they changed the formula a few years now and it tastes like they just mixed Diet Coke, with Coke. I replaced Coke with Wild Cherry Pepsi (which was a big surprise to me), and Pineapple Fanta. I rarely buy Coke anymore just once in a while to see if they are making something I'll drink, but no luck so far.
I have tried Russia Cola and it tastes good for me. I think we humans always like foreign taste. I live in Germany and i was holiday in Croatia for some weeks. Swedish Cuba Cola is my favourite, but we also have Premier Cola, Harboe Cola and COOP Cola Classic (which you might be able to find at Prisma in Sankt-Peterburg if it is still there), that I like.

I do predict that after the conflict with Ukraine is over and things have settled down, Coca Cola and other western companies will return to Russia. I'm a American and our attitude towards Coca Cola & Pepsi Cola is slowly starting to change because of the high sugar/sweetener content in the soda drinks. I rather drink water even if I go to McDonald's for a quick meal. Hamburger, french fries and a Coke has been a American tradition for well over 100 years, long before McDonald's came along.
That was definately a great experiment - I've done the same, and coca-cola won.... the same experiment was done by me with Fanta, and I must admit, that the copy was a clear winner, and at one third of the price - The price was not important to me, I were looking for alternatives, which I actually enjoyed drinking. I don't drink cola anymore. I can't remember the last time I did drink a cola. My favorite drink for the past few years now is Dole Orange, peach, mango juice. With ice of course. This and bottled/spring water is about 99% of what I drink currently. Why would you want to drink a water with sugar drink? Well, but anyway I used to drink the McDonalds orange drink, which was very delicious, but it was not a carbonated drink at all.

It doesn't have to taste like cola, it just has to be Russian. Cocacola is American, it's not Russian. You have to ask yourself what is russian, and you have to want to promote and love what is russian coz it is yours. Cocacola is not yours.
See, you have to have pride for your country, you have to love what your country produces because that is yours. In South Africa, we have lots of food products of our own and we pride ourselves in seeing our own produce on the shelves than imported stuff coz that tells us that we independent and established as a nation. Whenever something is made in our country, we buy that instead of all else coz it is ours and it represents us.

Tom Rio below is right. The original recipe is far from what it originally tasted like in the beginning. In the beginning it had real coca leaves or cocaine. 🤔 when I was a small boy it tasted delicious but not anymore. Now it's some nasty cheap thing that is really bad for your health. Too much sugar and unhealthy ingredients. I stopped drinking it because it so destructive on ones teeth and ones health.
Even sweet snacks now it's so sweet.
It's no wonder people live such a short life.
I can barely even eat snickers, mars bars, Turkish Delight any more it contains so much sugar it's sickening. 😫 Anyway don't drink coke it will destroy your teeth. Teeth are so painful. The last tooth I had pulled was the most agonising experience of my life. I wanted to die it was that bad. 😖

Thank you so much, Sveta, for this very entertaining video. It is always very comic to think that something that we take for granted might become a rarity overnight. I barely ever drink any Coca Cola still I could buy a truckload of it from the convenience store just 500 meter away from my home door. Although I like the refreshing taste of Coca Cola, I have not drunk any in years and I feel great, I don't miss it. Coca Cola contains too much sugar and is very acid, so it is pretty bad for our teeth enamel and slightly irritative for the stomach. By the way, it contains a lot of caffeine too, which is not necessarily bad, just lightly stimulating.
Coke in America tastes awful too, they changed the formula a few years now and it tastes like they just mixed Diet Coke, with Coke. I replaced Coke with Wild Cherry Pepsi (which was a big surprise to me), and Pineapple Fanta. I rarely buy Coke anymore just once in a while to see if they are making something I'll drink, but no luck so far.

I have tried Russia Cola and it tastes good for me. I think we humans always like foreign taste. I live in Germany and i was holiday in Croatia for some weeks. I was liking the food, bread and drinks in Croatia maybe because I know almost already every food and drinks in Germany. I think this is humans nature.

I don't drink Coca-Cola because it gave me headaches. I prefer Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Light. There are Coca Cola with no sugar and that tastes even worse. I like your Russian accent because my parents were Polish and they had Russian friends in Australia after they migrated from Poland after WWII. I can translate a few words but it is difficult. I am an Aussie man and I can spot a lot of Russian people who live in my area in the state of Queensland, Australia.
We call them fizzy drinks. There's many that have cola flavour, but they are not Coke Cola.

I doubt getting cola qualifies as a valid reason. :D

Wow! as I lover of cola taste, I would love to do this test! I can't stand the taste of Coca-Cola, though. I prefer Pepsi, but we also have some own variants in Scandinavia. Swedish Cuba Cola is my favourite, but we also have Premier Cola, Harboe Cola and COOP Cola Classic (which you might be able to find at Prisma in Sankt-Peterburg if it is still there), that I like.

I do predict that after the conflict with Ukraine is over and things have settled down, Coca Cola and other western companies will return to Russia. I'm a American and our attitude towards Coca Cola & Pepsi Cola is slowly starting to change because of the high sugar/sweetener content in the soda drinks. I rather drink water even if I go to McDonald's for a quick meal. Hamburger, french fries and a Coke has been a American tradition for well over 100 years, long before McDonald's came along.

That was definately a great experiment - I've done the same, and coca-cola won.... the same experiment was done by me with Fanta, and I must admit, that the copy was a clear winner, and at one third of the price - The price was not important to me, I were looking for alternatives, which I actually enjoyed drinking.

I don't drink cola anymore. I can't remember the last time I did drink a cola. My favorite drink for the past few years now is Dole Orange, peach, mango juice. With ice of course. This and bottled/spring water is about 99% of what I drink currently. Why would you want to drink a water with sugar drink? Well, but anyway I used to drink the McDonalds orange drink, which was very delicious, but it was not a carbonated drink at all.

Is Pepsi also boycotting Russia? Unlike Coca-Cola, PepsiCo owns their own bottling plants in Russia. Otherwise Pepsi might be the best substitute for real Coca-Cola.

I can drink real coke nor otjets or pesi but its unhealthy. Fruit and water is good. but most of those is comparable to 1.00 us 2 litters. meaning its 78 ruble for 2 liters here.
