I'm really impressed w/ this current generation of farmers! Love that they adopting the old way farming w/ allowing fields to rest & swapping out crops & herds in different seasons. I'd love to see more of this in my local area!!!
Excellent film. Well done to the Crawley family and National Trust. This farm is an excellent example of how farming should be done to promote nature, wildlife and produce healthy, tasty, food 💚🐂🐇🐃🦔🐏🐾🐑🌾🌿🍀💚
Excellent to see. I know it must be very hard work but it is very interesting to see an organic farm in the real world. We try to buy organic stuff all the time but we all need to support organic farmers and create a demand for their produce. Beautiful countryside too- lovely video.
It’s great that you are going around and meeting people who actually work the land, and it’s encouraging to find such ethical farmers. Please do go back and get a progress report. It would also be great to hear from farmers who grow produce and get their perspective. Another wonderful video in some stunning countryside.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL THE FARMERS FOR THEIR FANTASTIC WORK DURING THIS HORRENDOUS TIME. ONCE AGAIN WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN THEY COME THROUGH JUST AS THEY DID IN WORLD WAR 2!
What a great family and farmers! The National trust are huge landowners and I think many of their acreage is now organic. My (sadly estranged) father in law has an organic farm near Lampeter in Wales. He said that when he changed it from ‘normal’ to organic, it threw the ecosystem and nothing much grew (he said he could harvest his hay field with scissors!) after one year though, the soil regained its nutrients and stuff grew again (and the cows and sheep were happy!)
What a massive farm these guys have, I'm always in a dilemma here because I like eating meat but always think about the poor animal's that get killed for the meat. Makes me sad but then I like meat. its Very confusing.
Sorry, can't help it, I had a sudden vision of Richard riding into town, like something out of Blazing Saddles...and now I can't get it out of my head...it's all your fault :-)
Well in my experience I much prefer eating conventional food. I've been to an all organic college and their food was terrible. People are always jumping to the defence of organic and say things like, "Well they were just bed cooks!" But whilst I was at this college I was told all the wonders of going organic and how good the food was. I've had this many times with my various visits to these places, even though I didn't want to go in the first place. I can quite honestly say organic is not for me. Also it's so expensive. At the college I went to they had a little shop, they sold 125ml of shampoo for £8.99, I went to Tesco's to buy a litre for 40p. So the organic shampoo is over 179 times more expensive per millilitre and it didn't even work as well!!!! All I seem to get is abuse for speaking out against this fad/ con!!!! If I was promoting organic, I would be agreed with, if I promote GMO's, Monsanto Bayer and convectional food. I gt told what a f***ing moron I am and worse!!!) :
Lovely to see some fine pasture fed cattle!

Yes exactly - the soil had died because 'normal' is using artificial fertilizers - took a year to rejuvenate itself.
Arundel; I've seen that name in railroad history in both US and UK.
Enjoyed this one
Excellent 👍

Not only cows but a bull as well, you'll be riding them bareback next.
