Hey Guys, does anyone has good suggestion, which bike is better for travel in Nepal, I have heard so many complaints on Duke! can anyone tell me why Duke is not comfortable in Nepali Road. Thanks in advance!
The seat is quite hard and the pegs put quite a lot of bend in the legs. This puts you in a fairly forward position on the bike and can become a little uncomfortable over long distance on Nepali roads. But really, its not that bad. After a whole day thrashing this thing on the BP Highway, the riding position was perfect for fast riding and was bearable over distance. The bike is also very light, so you don't waste any energy moving it around either. Suspension feels a little stiff over bumps but works well at higher speeds on smoother surfaces. But if you're that worried about comfort but still want something reasonably quick, then maybe consider the Apache 200. Much more comfy and better over distance. A better everyday bike for the roads of Nepal i think. But It can't quite match the dukes speed and handling though. The Duke is still more comfy than a Pulsar 220 though, but then not much isn't! ;)
I'm not too sure. I'm usually riding pretty hard on a Duke, so my km per gallon figures aren't very representative of real world riding. But I don't usually pay much attention to millage, or the speedo! ;)
