  • This car is very near and dear to my father. Over 45 years ago, my father learned how to drive on a 1965 Chrysler New Yorker. That day, the day of the show, was the first time he's crossed one since his father sold their New Yorker. I've never seen my dad's eyes light up so much when he saw this car. My dad said he would go as far as to selling his 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan, a car held near and dear to him, for this New Yorker in a heartbeat. The owner of this car said he had just recently purchased another classic and if he loved that more than the New Yorker, we would be the first to receive a call :)

Same as your Dad = learned to drive in a 65 New Yorker. Gold (Tan?) with a tan interior. Loaded to the hilt. Great car. Pissed Dad's best friend off, when driving his new Caddy, when I told him that it drove just like the New Yorker! :)
Big brother unfortunately wrapped it sideways around a telephone pole......
Dad lucked into a '66 Imperial Le Baron as its replacement. Gads, what a car!

I just bought a 2-door w/75K miles in mint condition except for the original paint. Perfectly straight, rust-free California car with great chrome all over. Perfect bumpers and mint trim. Dk. Green w'black interior. Everything works including the air. Blissful car to drive, especially at night with all the interior chrome glistening and reflecting. Bought it to flip it, but now I wanna keep it.

I believe they called that New Yorker a town sedan, wit the six windows. Nice

@@davecortez8691 Crazy right? Cars nowadays just aren't striking like this. And to think this was just the norm!

My parents had a '65 New Yorker station wagon - it was the last year the wagons were labeled New Yorker instead of the Town & Country. It really was a beautiful car!

I love the clear lens tail lights. A styling feature Chrysler used decades before it once more became popular. Love the factory air conditioning too. I don't see it as a problem getting it working once more if the owner really wanted to.
