I am an taking a 2 year course for horticulture. Once I am done, I will try to get the best job I can. After working awhile I will try to buy lots of land, and turn it into a native forest filled with many species of plants. Will take years and years, but I was told I can turn the land into a nature preserve depending what the land was zoned for. I already been growing natives and saving seeds from my local forest.

I am truly convinced with the overview and the main concepts of these ideas. The advocacy of supporting wildlife and promoting native plants are quite rewarding indeed. However, I am grateful enough to know these basic tips and vital information. It really taught me a lot. Keep up the good job!

I am planting a wildlife garden with a mix of native plants and cultivars until I read about neonicotinoids (neonics) use in many of the plants grown in garden center labeled as bee friendly. It totally blow me away because here I am planting flowers to benefit bees but in actuality I am killing these bees and beneficial insects. Does anyone know how I can test my plants for these types of pesticides? I cannot imagine how they can label plants as bee friendly yet have neonics.
