If the mold is not sealed, what effect does the water in the positive mold have on the thermoplastic?

Hi Ahmad Najwa, thanks for your question. If the mold is not sealed, it could release moisture. Even if you dry the mold in an oven or leave it to dry for a longer period it might still release moisture, especially when thermoforming.
As the thermoplastic has an open structure when activated it might absorb the moisture in the mold, which could weaken the material. If there is a lot of moisture it might even affect the surface look. By sealing the mold, you can prevent this from happening.
