Let me know how you think it turned out! And would love to start a fruitful conversation sharing any wisdom about hospitality down below! 🤍 I know it’s something that takes practice and I’m just getting started!
Such a lovely party! I wish people would realize that you don’t have to spend excessive amounts of money to create amazing memories. Thanks for sharing
Wow, Emily - I have never thought of all these things that might stress children out w/entertaining. You are so wise! Cute decorations - love the dog banner!
Excellent job! I raised both,my children as a single mom and I too ways very frugal and really did just family for their birthdays and I would start months in advance. They never went without. I was a hard working woman now I’m 62 empty nester and I’m doing some things for myself. I’m still thrifty and frugal I think I may trier at 63……. There is so much to do in life still
You are amazing Emily. The love you have for your family and all the people of your heart just shines through. I can't wait to try the rolls. Blessings and prayers...
Great tips! I hosted a Garden Bridal Tea party last October for 50 guests. I thrifted all the linens, mostly all the decorations for tables, chairs, champagne flutes, tea cups and tea pots. It took me 7 months to find items and organize them. Organization is key. I had a plan and created a vision board using Google slides helped me stay focus. I placed the decorations for table tops and linens by box and labeled them. It was a huge undertaking but it was so much fun and learned a lot, especially how to create floral arrangements.
This brought back memories of a birthday party I did for my daughter. It was dog themed also. I loved hosting birthday parties for my children when they were young. One of the things I miss now that they are adults. You did an awesome job.
Love this video! I wanted to share a little tradition we have in our family. I have a fabric birthday tablecloth that comes out for every birthday….whether we have a party or not. Maybe you can find a vintage birthday tablecloth while thrifting and add this tradition for your growing family. ❤
I love that idea!! Your comment made me realize I forgot to get out a birthday banner than I mom quilted and sent to me when I had my first bday away from home in college. We started using it for all my roommates bdays 🥰 love the idea of a tablecloth. I’ll keep an eye out!
This was a great video. I love how the party turned out and am so impressed that you did not feel the need for all the extravagant extras. I worry about the expectations kids have because of adults trying to impress or out do others. Love the adopt a pet idea , darling. I am the grandmother to 3, aged 7,9, and 11. Only one has had a so called “kid party”. I really enjoy your approach to life and parenting. You are so mature and wise.
Thank you! 🤗 they are starting install tomorrow!! I’ll share the progress over on instagram and for sure there will be a reveal video here in a few weeks!!
Such a cute party I hope your little one enjoyed it 🙏❤️ I love the cute decor 🥰 what a great and organized host you are!!! I always get stressed about the food I am going to take your ideas on board and prepare ahead more 😂 You are looking amazing btw and your baby bump is so neat!!! Sending prayers from UK 🙏
Awesome Video!!!! Your sentitivity to your children emotional needs truly blessed my heart!!!! Living away from my large family!!! I taught my children that people in your life is apart of your large "village" family. So, I give my children between 3 to 4 parties( very simple) at different locations for their birthday!!! They have a party for the "neighhood" kids at home & their friends at church & their friends at school and one party at organization their involved with: boy & girl scouts, swim team, basketball team or gymnastic team. When they became teenagers, I would organized personal trips with me: to movies & favorite eatery & bus & car & train trips. Their God Parents would do "memory" trips: sport events & state parks & amusement parks & cultural explorations. They knew they were loved and valued by the People in their "village". The MOST important things we can give our children is "OUR TIME & GOD'S LOVE"!!!! God Bless!!!
Wow!! How special for them to grow up with those traditions! I’m sure a lot of work but for the best reason. My grandparents took each grandchild on a trip when we turned 13. It was so special!
