    This was so cool to hear about. When you say how hard cast members work, I’d be so interested to know a day in the life of a cast member from the parking lot to how early you have to get to your shift because of the people, the strict rules they have for CM etc. All that stuff!

    This was so much fun to listen to and to watch! As a former cast member, I had a great time too and wish i could go back there. I worked in merchandise in the Norway pavillion and I stayed there for a year ❤️

    If I hadn’t left the company last summer, September 16th would have been my 5 year anniversary working at Disneys California Adventure. I worked in attractions in Pixar Pier - I was an attractions lead and I also got to be a show operations lead for a short time - and then covid happened 😣 I know leaving was the right decision for me, but there’s no denying that I still mourn my time there and the people I was surrounded by often. It’s a truly different kind of experience that I wish everyone could get the opportunity to try. Buttttt, I love getting to tell all my crazy Disney stories to my new coworkers and clients. ❤️ I just know that if I got the opportunity to go back in time and have one more shift at my coaster, with all my besties, I would do it in a HEARTBEAT.

      My husband and I are in LOVE with DCA/DL!!!! I 100% agree with you about missing the great CMs and experiences - it changed my life for the better forever. ❤️ If I find a time machine I’ll let you know 🙃

    Sorry for commenting on an old video but I’m about to start school in Orlando and want to try working a little at Disney. I was wondering how easy it was to get started or get the job, and also can you request a specific area or park or do they just assign you at random? I love the countries in Epcot and would love to work in it, I’m curious if I can request that or no? Thanks

    • @glasshalffullasmr
      @glasshalffullasmr  Год назад +1

      Oooh yay how exciting! Now, I haven't gone through the Disney job application process since 2021 so it may have changed since then, but here's what I can tell you. If you are applying for a "front lines" hourly job (which working in the countries in Epcot would fall under that category) it is relatively easy to get hired. You apply for a particular line of work; meaning: merchandise, food and beverage, custodial (which is called Guest Show), attractions, etc. When I got my interview, they asked me if I'd like full time or part time employment. The first time I applied I chose full time and the recruiter told me my options (Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom). The second time I applied I was waitlisted and then was just randomly placed where they needed staffing - I didn't have any input. I do feel that it's SUPER important to note that unless you have documented medical accommodations from a doctor, it's very likely that you'll be working in an outdoor role. Idk if you are from FL or not, but that's the MAIN thing that I tell people when they apply. That being said, I would highly encourage you to tell you recruiter that you love the countries in Epcot and it's possible that they can make a notation on your application. Please let me know if you have any more questions/how the process goes for you - I'm always happy to assist!!

      @@glasshalffullasmr thank you very much, that’s very useful to know. Luckily I am from FL, so I’m plenty use to being outside in that kind of weather!

    I know what you mean by some of the magic changing when you work there. I remember when I would walk backstage if Mickey was about to start taking off costume I would immediately look down or look in a different direction. everyone else I was okay with bur Not Mickey! lol I know it may sound silly.

      I ABSOLUTELY did the same thing when I worked character dining bc the character green room was near my breakroom. I’d cover my eyes and look away!!
