Hello, I'm asking a question for my father. He is reassembling his K75 water and oil pump and he wonders where to place the large black O-ring (second from the left on 4:15)? Thanks in advance.
Warning the k100 water pump has two different seal options the original seals failed constantly when being pressed into place and BMW came up with a fix that didn’t require heating before pressing into place
Could you explain a little bit more about seating of the oil seal. Looking in my pump housing it’s not exactly obvious of what you’re seating it to I’m bit confused
Love your range of K100 videos. They are simply the best! This one about the oil/coolant pump is superb. Where did you get your drift for the seal from and what size is it? Cheers.
You really helped me a lot with your instructions, thank you! :) just one little point I noticed. I don’t know if that was on purpose but you put the gasket maker on the outside of a screw hole. That sometimes causes oil leaking through the thread of the screws. Otherwise great video! 👍 Edit: I just have one more question. As soon as I tighten the bolt the wheels won’t spin freely anymore. Could it be that the spacer is to big so that it squeezes the sealing of the water pump side too much?
Hello Ken, I am having hard times in fixing my K75 ‘92 water pump. After replacing seals o-rings and the shaft some drops of coolant, apparently clear and without oil, come out of the draining hole. What does it mean? Thanks for the reply
It's been suggested that you can check the condition of a water pump simply by taking the cover off and "having a look". I don't believe this. What do you think?
thanks for the awesome video. I'm struggling to get the number 8 seal in. it seems like there it too much room and the seal keeps sliding out after i try to whack it in.. any suggestions?

Hello, the small black oil seal has a conical part, that part goes to the side of the pinions, or to the side where the other seal goes?
Really helpful video, thanks for taking the time.
Thanks you for this really good explained video ;)

So if there is loosing liquid, ¿allways is a mixture of coolant and oil? ¿What happens if only is coolant?

Did you ever find out what can cause the wheel not to spin freely? I am having the same issue.

Come si chiama l’attrezzo per inserire il premistoppa ?
Sweet video
awesome video. helped me a lot. Is the impeller suppose to spin freely? mine seems to be a bit tight. CHeers!
Is it possible to give the dimensions of the seal installer tool so I can 3D print one?
Can’t find the tool anywhere near me.
Euro moto electrics in Denver Colorado has a seal kit that includes the special tool.
Good and clear
