Just gorgeous. Hava Nagila has the perfect rhythm to it for a really bouncy, lively routine. What a beautiful homage to her religion and what she loves to do.
Her performance in 2012 was amazing, but she did even better this year. After watching her routine from this year, I just had to go back to her 2012 routine just to admire her amazing improvement!
I remember watching this live and I CRIED I didn’t even know who she was before the olympics and there I was sobbing at her accomplishment. Favorite floor routine of all time!!! I still get chills!!
I'm really fucking tired of people saying that Aly was over scored and didn't deserve the medal. Learn the fucking COP, which is what she was judged on. International udges rarely make mistakes, and even when they do, they are only off by one or two tenths, which usually averages out to the correct score, not by 6 or 7 tenths, which people think she should have gotten. Assuming you can figure out her D-Score of 6.5, here are the E-Score deductions she got. Cowboy'd Double Arabian position - 0.1 Piked Double Arabian: Leg Separation - 0.1 Bent Legs on landing - 0.1 Sissone - Exactness of Split position - 0.1 Split Leap 3/2 - Split position ( Back Leg a little low ~ this deduction is a little questionable because it is very hard to tell when she hit the split position) - 0.1 Triple Twist: Bent Legs 0.1, Leg Separation 0.1, Small step on landing - 0.1 Split Leap - Split Position 0.1 All for a grand total of 0.9, 16.5 - 0.9 = 15.6 Sure you can maybe find another deduction, but not 6 more, guaranteed. Aly deserved this medal, no questions asked. Choreography and artistry was not a deduction in this COP, and either way its a sport not an art. Tumbling is what makes it gymnastics, and the tumbling is excellent, exciting, and beautiful.
The comments people make about these very YOUNG and very hard working young ladies who have accomplished so much more in their short lives than any of these clowns will accomplish in their entire lives...is a JOKE. And it's RUDE. Jealousy and hatred make them very UGLY
She isn't fat!! Come on guys, put your glasses on!! This is pure muscle, so stop behaving like little, jealous kids and go to a gym for a single practice with the elite!! You'll think twice about calling ANY gymnast fat then!!
jack black Camera adds 10 pounds though. Also if she took steroids wouldn't her medal be taken away? Training does help. Maybe that is why she got such a high score. Watch the gymnastics documentary "Road for Gold" Or somewhere among those lines
jack black I understand if you're weak. But this called her being naturally curvy on top of 8 hours of training a day, 6 days a week, no off seasons. These gymnasts get randomly tested.
This was an awesome routine. Artistry trolls need to stop being so sore and picking on Raisman. She won gold, she deserved, she IS an artistic gymnast, get over it.
Elia Rousa she also unfortunately had a bad triple twist that night. Cata is great, and I miss Romanian gymnastics too, but don’t hate on Aly. Aly’s coach is from Romania too
This is a little late, but I couldn't help but agree with the fact that aly is pure muscle. I'm sure she lifts. And she's also not trying to get guys by doing that, she was trying to win the Olympics, which I guess worked out. To all the girls looking at this, your goal with how you look doesn't always have to be to look "good" in some stupid society approved way.
Gymnasts, especially women, are big. But 2 things: 1) It's pure muscle, and 2) Aly is barely 5 feet. So she's actually a tiny thing, but certainly more muscular than your average girl.
It's not music from Israel. It's traditional Jewish music. It's been around long before the formation of the State of Israel. She's Jewish and she's representing her heritage. Go to any Jewish celebration anywhere in the world and you will hear this music. It's a song of joy, love and celebration that is unparalleled. That is what beauty really is.
Aly doesn't necessarily have the grace that other gymnasts do, but she has the difficulty, and that's what got her the medal. An over all entertaining routine.
This is a coming from a dancer! I think she did amazing everything was graceful all the leaps were powerful yet graceful and all the dancing was nice I mean that's not really her style the soft and graceful she is a powerhouse but she is still amazing at the dance part of her routine especially the leaps I barely see anyone reach the height and power she does while making it look clean and graceful
+Jadiel Rivera I personally thought her landings were absolutely amazing. I mean, she was gorgeous in the air, but the way she landed was so graceful! The other gymnasts were much more sloppy on their landings than Aly.
I forgot how good her form was. After watching so many reruns, I wish Komova had half of Aly raisman's and Mustafinas toughness and consistency. Just a gem!
For the people who don't know, Aly Raisman is Jewish. That's why she chose this music to express herself ☺️ Thanks to Aly, I'm less shy to show & express my origin.
For those of you saying that the US girls must be dopers or use steroids or whatnot because they're so muscular and according to you they never get injured. 1) they have to pass physical abilities testing at every national development team camp ever month so it pays to stay in shape and 2) let's look at (in just recent years) Rebecca Bross (injured-acl) and Katelyn Ohashi (injured-back) and Sarah Finnegan (injured-elbow) and McKayla Maroney this past season (injured-knee) and Jordyn Wieber (injured-stress fracture) and Bailie Key (injured-arm) just to name a small few
Still a wonderful performance. She did awesome and was even better in Rio last year. Amazing how much more awesome she was in Rio!! She cleaned up a lot of issues she had. Great job! Wish I had even a 1/4 of her amazing body!! Wow.
I'm so sick of people like Rusianskatingfan trashing this gymnast and her routine. This routine was awesome in every way and she deserved the Gold! The routine was fabulous from start to finish. People that are quick to criticize need to get a life.
She's been doing gymnastics since she was TWO. She's muscular not fat! Let's see what you look like after you've trained like her for fourteen years. I'm a gymnast myself, and trust me hun, it's not easy., It's one of the toughest sports out there. I certainly have gained weight since I started gymnastics, but its only because im more muscular
I very much enjoy Aly's style of tumbling, it's slower and focuses more on precision and cleanliness. She reminds me of Nellie Kim on this event, I'm glad she won gold.
I'm just saying the judges at the OLYMPICS knew wht they were doing. Just because ally isn't a ballerina doesn't mean she's an ugly gymnast. This isn't an ugly routine. She hit a routine when others couldn't, and I don't think it's just a coincidence that she got a high score.
Everyone talks about how terrible Aly's choreography/music/artistry is but tbh I thought her 2012 floor music and choreography were actually better than Gabby's 2012 floor routine... of course that's just personal opinion though
That first pass was amazing. Agreed, she could have used more grace, but what the judges are looking for these days is the power in the tumbling, not the grace and beauty of the past. Catalina, and she is one of my favorite gymnasts, didn't have quite the tumbling power that Aly did, which is why Aly won. She had a good routine, but yes. The choreo could use major work.
I think I will always consider this one of the most legendary routines of all time
never seen a better routine than that
Yes emma
@@jonfinegold1512 I would say her 2016 one, she upped herself
@@tomgallowitz It wasn't that much different than 2012 though other than her changing the triple twist to a double layout which was the same rating.
Best execution I’ve seen in the new points system.
That first pass in particular - so effortless and breathtaking.
That one is my favorite!!
that first tumbling pass will always be known as "The Raisman" to me
Just gorgeous.
I actually liked this routine better.
This is true
I remember watching this live and I CRIED I didn’t even know who she was before the olympics and there I was sobbing at her accomplishment. Favorite floor routine of all time!!! I still get chills!!

You just earned yourself a subscriber!
Though, she would get 1 tenth of for each of those handsprings. (Shouldn't count though)
She takes steroids.
marie loops If she took steroids don't you think she would be disqualified? Be serious now.
Maximumtime208 she wasn't disqualified coz she and her coach paid the FIG to keep quiet and to let them still compete. ppl do that u know
The comments people make about these very YOUNG and very hard working young ladies who have accomplished so much more in their short lives than any of these clowns will accomplish in their entire lives...is a JOKE. And it's RUDE. Jealousy and hatred make them very UGLY

It looked like she says "wow" when she finishes her routine and the crowd starts cheering. Lol
Rumors are she's a doper. Steroid cheat. Google Aly Raisman white dress...no amount of training gives you muscles like that.
jack black
Camera adds 10 pounds though. Also if she took steroids wouldn't her medal be taken away? Training does help. Maybe that is why she got such a high score. Watch the gymnastics documentary "Road for Gold" Or somewhere among those lines
jack black They get tested after every competition...especially if you medal.
jack black
I understand if you're weak. But this called her being naturally curvy on top of 8 hours of training a day, 6 days a week, no off seasons. These gymnasts get randomly tested.
iamkarenh LOL, there are ways around getting caught. "Testing" is a joke. Look at professional body builders. They get "tested" too.
That first pass. I will never get over it. Amazing
That was the best floor exercise I ever saw especially that first pass..I watched that routine probably over 30 times
jeremy hill If you like this, check out Viktoria Karpenko, Elena Produnova and Vanessa Atler ;)
+jeremy hill Same, but I would say 50-60 times ;)
Still get chills from this routine, her Rio routine, and Simone’s Rio routine & Simone’s new routine. They’re the best on floor. Always will be.
This was an awesome routine. Artistry trolls need to stop being so sore and picking on Raisman. She won gold, she deserved, she IS an artistic gymnast, get over it.
Is over scored ...american mafia destroyed artistic gymnastics. ..is not anymore artistic is just acrobatics gymnastics
The gold was for catalina ponor ! She had much more elegance ..she is really ballerina!
Elia Rousa she also unfortunately had a bad triple twist that night. Cata is great, and I miss Romanian gymnastics too, but don’t hate on Aly. Aly’s coach is from Romania too
Im so glad Aly got 3 olympic medals!!! She deserved them and delivered amazing routines when it counted!
Love her so much and this was flawless! So happy she's making a comeback!!!!
Isnt she far less muscular than say Simone Biles? They are both beautiful women
Gymnasts, especially women, are big. But 2 things: 1) It's pure muscle, and 2) Aly is barely 5 feet. So she's actually a tiny thing, but certainly more muscular than your average girl.
We stand with you, Aly. Such an amazing gymnast, as well as person. You are an idol and inspiration to many. Never give up.
Aly Raisman is amazing. This performance shows how hard she worked. No kidding she got a gold medal!
I absolutely love that final pass! It's like she floated for that moment. Beautiful .
this is the best routine I've seen her do
I love Aly!!!
It's not music from Israel. It's traditional Jewish music. It's been around long before the formation of the State of Israel. She's Jewish and she's representing her heritage. Aly doesn't necessarily have the grace that other gymnasts do, but she has the difficulty, and that's what got her the medal. An over all entertaining routine.
Trace Vaughn are you joking? Aly is extremely graceful. Especially her double layouts and fills.
Aly Raisman is just incredible!!!!
This is a coming from a dancer! Especially her switch leap it's freaking amazing!
+Jadiel Rivera I personally thought her landings were absolutely amazing. I mean, she was gorgeous in the air, but the way she landed was so graceful! The other gymnasts were much more sloppy on their landings than Aly.
+Cheryl Lee exactly she's freaking amazing
She did even better this year
Her first pass is just something else here. That landing.
I love alexdranda raisman she is my favorite
I forgot how good her form was. After watching so many reruns, I wish Komova had half of Aly raisman's and Mustafinas toughness and consistency. Just a gem!
For the people who don't know, Aly Raisman is Jewish. That's why she chose this music to express herself ☺️

This routine literally gave me goosebumps! !♡♡♡♡
0:14 will always be my favorite moment from the 2012 Olympics!
Absolutely amazing, fabulous, fantastic, unbelievable, incredible, no doubt this is my favorite floor performance!!!
after aly finishes, you can see her say, "wow!". what an incredible athlete.
That was wonderfull. She is really lovely!!!!the music and the performance are exciting!!
Aly is an outstanding athlete...
Aly Raisman is my favorite Olympic Gymnast

I love when he goes 'wow' in the end! Epic floor routine!
No fat person could tumble like that .. I think you're confused with what a fit person looks like versus a twig with no muscle.
Still a wonderful performance. She did awesome and was even better in Rio last year. Amazing how much more awesome she was in Rio!! She cleaned up a lot of issues she had. Great job! Wish I had even a 1/4 of her amazing body!! Wow.

the whole routine was amazing! that triple twist thou, dayum!!! Incredible
Exquisite choreography, perfectly executed♥️
that first set of flips were amazing
loved watching aly in '12. missed the Olympics this year..
Alyssa DeFord right? I totally agree... gymnastics is quite challenging and muscle growth is going to happen.
This deserves all the medals not just the gold for the first 17 seconds alone.
Her tumbling passes are amazing.
Still in awe of this performance.
I will never get tired of this routine! That first pass is unbelievable!
Alexandra Raisman is great for Celebrity Legs Hall of Fame.
TENNNNNNS ACROSS THE BOARD! THAT WAS EFFFFFING PERFECT!
Aly is soooo amazing!!! Luv her!
She says wow at the end. So she should!
Aly is a super performer and has amazingly great talent. Believe in yourself and keep your head up and your chin up and smile alot. 😀
Those landings are a thing of beauty. She gave nothing away.
Je suis la seule Française, mais bon ; Aly Raisman, la meilleure !
Lucie Genest je suis francophone donc je comprends ce commentaire 😉
THAT FIRST PASS HOLY CRAP! I hope I can be that good someday.
Just rewatching this and her routine has more twists than an Ozark Mountain road.
She was absolutely glowing in London.
Very nice, Aly, keep that work up:)
I very much enjoy Aly's style of tumbling, it's slower and focuses more on precision and cleanliness. She reminds me of Nellie Kim on this event, I'm glad she won gold.
SHES SO GREAT
That was amazing shes my idol
Love u Aly!!!!!
my favorite floor routine of ALL time
"Wow!" I agree Aly!(:
Because I'm a big fan of aly I'm crying because I want to meet her
The first tumble pass= mind blown
I'm just saying the judges at the OLYMPICS knew wht they were doing. Just because ally isn't a ballerina doesn't mean she's an ugly gymnast. This isn't an ugly routine. She hit a routine when others couldn't, and I don't think it's just a coincidence that she got a high score.
Such a brilliant and technical routine 😍
and she looks even better now, 3 years later Simone isn't the only American the rest of the world needs to worry about!!
elfi wasn't commentating. that was Shannon miller.
AWESOME!!!
❤❤❤ I love her
it is just STUNNING
Wow! Very great skills and performance.
Everyone talks about how terrible Aly's choreography/music/artistry is but tbh I thought her 2012 floor music and choreography were actually better than Gabby's 2012 floor routine... of course that's just personal opinion though
Completely agree
I adore the music in this aswell
100% agreed
if you hate this so much, stop watching it!
Who else is here because of bratayley?
Me!
Me!!
im confused how do these people know so many gymnastic olympians.
Wait why are you here because of bratayley
Which video was it that bratayley showed Aly? I remember watching it but i can't find it now D:
it gives me chills
Beautiful
La mia preferita in assoluto!
Awesome, awesome routine!!
still my favorite floor
Beautiful.
I love her
AMAZING!!!!
AMAZING
That first pass was amazing. Agreed, she could have used more grace, but what the judges are looking for these days is the power in the tumbling, not the grace and beauty of the past. Catalina, and she is one of my favorite gymnasts, didn't have quite the tumbling power that Aly did, which is why Aly won. She had a good routine, but yes. The choreo could use major work.
Her change leg full and double pike were amazing ! I tried a double pike and landed on my face :D wow
Aly Raisman is unbelievable 💓!
She is amazing
A memory will keep too end of the world. Go Aly.
Raisman the little powerhouse.
I can't even continue this conversation. You've got a long way to go in life
Totally incredible
Will always be iconic
