The Franchise additions in Madden 26 are a step forward in coach customization, but the off-season still feels lifeless. Give us dramatic free agency moments, immersive draft-day coverage, dynamic player stories, and real GM mechanics. Franchise Mode should feel like running an actual NFL team.

Nice if we'd ever get CPU -> CPU trades on draft day. Literally no excitement when only the user trades up and down. The CPU should be able to jump me for a QB or if they have a player high on their board making me need to pivot.

You can a you should. waiting a few months after release would guarantee better NFL games including Madden for the foreseeable future.
So many simple things that could take franchise to the next level:
- Real assistant coaches with real faces: give us the option to hire the next up and coming coordinator and not have them be a generic fake person. All you would have to do is scan the coaches when you scan players.
- Dynamic relationships with players and player agents: more impact of morale, star players requesting trades, contract holdouts, options to renegotiate contracts during season more than a restructure.
- Real player faces across the board: with AI, we should be able to get at least basic detail on all players given how much footage/images there are of players. It is crazy that there are Pro Bowl players with fake faces.
- Crowds change as success of the team changes: more intensity for rival games.
- More trades by CPU teams during draft and season.

But no, we’re just now being able to put Jordan’s on our coach which we’ll never even be able to see because we can’t even walk around on the sidelines as the coach during the game. Lol this game is a complete joke.

@featherzzfranchise allows you to have you and friends take control of a player on different teams or different teams as a coach, franchise is my preference because it's a lot quicker to set up

Ridiculous - it's 2025 and the only contract options are still signing bonuses and simple year over year increases - no void years, no guaranteed deals were you can avoid signing bonuses - just doing contracts like it was taken from the 1999 version of Madden. Ridiculous. But thank you so much for letting me pick the color of the shoes my coach wears, that's what I really wanted. I've been playing Madden since it first came out on the PC in 1988, I still have the copy, I used to buy it every single year until a few years ago because the franchise mode was so broken and outdated, and years and years later, it's still broken, and this will be another year I skip it.

That’s what I’ve done since madden 16, it hurts a lot less to just uninstall the game knowing you didn’t spend 70 bucks.
I play for a few hours every year, get bored, and uninstall like clockwork.
Until they put in actual effort or get some competition I’m not wasting another dime on this franchise.

Why can’t we challenge plays in madden? Why aren’t there late hits in madden? Where is the chain gain to measure? It’s supposed to be simulation right? Hands to the face calls in the trenches. You can challenge plays, you have to pause then there is a challenge play option

Ion think it’s back and that was kinda make or break for me I can’t lie.
Considering how you’ve been ignoring impactful updates to this mode for well over a decade, you’re going to have to do more than parade a sub 5 min video as a “deep dive”. We’re expecting, at least, a 15/20 min video showing impactful features that make the gameplay more enjoyable, sustainable, replay-able, and not feel like you accomplished everything after the first 1-4 seasons. Also, PLEASE, get more stadium options for relocation and change the x’s & o’s field wall padding. If I’m the commanders and upgrade my stadium, keep the same field wall padding and incorporate it to the new stadium. Don’t change it to the plain X’s and O’s formations but in my team’s colors. Provide more than 5 options for created teams to customize theirs field wall paddings as well.
