burdie is 100% right about the strict parents. my dad is one of them and i’m truely think that he manipulated me or convinced me that the only way that i was going to have the future that i wanted was to go to pharmacy school, waste 4 years of my life suffering with a deep depression and loneliness (since i struggle with making friends), and then come out making $100k+. sounds great financially, but for my mental health? that’s a hard no. Anyone reading this and if you’re still in high school, my advice is; find out your passion and stick with it. Make it something you’ll be happy doing for the rest of your life, because if not, you’ll be like me and depressed, anxious, and regretting ever going in to the wrong program.
there is that one parent that forces themselves into a situation to where they are forced to get angry and blame you for their misconceptions and gradually elevate their anger and get even more angry when you notice they are angry.
Exactly that’s what my sister does all the time and the only reason why she’s so spoiled is because one time when my family went to Hawaii to see some of my moms side of the family I woke up one morning just to see a mountain of toys next to my sister turns out one of my family members took her to toys r us (this was like in 2017 I think so that’s why it wasn’t closed) then after that she just became so spoiled and I have to live with that every day
Let's not forget the influencer parents, whether for politics, beauty pageants or fame and fortune, they use their kids as props to make themselves feel good or to use them to make money. I find it despicable that parents would do that, i feel bad for the kids who have no choice but to go along with whatever the parent (Usually the mothers in most cases) wants them to do just for the parent to get brownie points, clout or just fame and money.
You forgot one the mistake parents. Nothing you do will ever be right, and they are always picking fights. I’ll never forget one day as a teen my dad was trying to pick a fight thinking I moved the thermostat. I didn’t and told him once let him have his tantrum, went to my room. Then later he put a lock on the thermostat where only he knew the combination didn’t even tell my mom
When I was little, my parents were very strict and had rules from screen time limits, to general rules like no hanging out with friends on weekdays, and no swearing in the house. But when I got into my junior year of high school, they started to become more chill. And since I’m currently in college, they let me do whatever I want because they know I’m very responsible and well disciplined. They’re even fine with me going to college parties because they know that I do well in school and I’m not stupid enough to do drugs and get blackout drunk.
Its totally fine if parents are strict with very young children, i'd even say this is what they need because lets face it, children are stupid. We all were stupid at that age. But if you get older, especially at your teenage phase, you need to have for freedom. You need room to try things out and to make mistakes, thats what this phase is for. Your parents did 100% right by growing their parenting style alongside your age.
One time I heard a staff member at a school got fired for triggering a kid. (Making a kid have a meltdown or smth) My mom works at an elementary school, and one time she said hi to some kid. Then the kid started having a meltdown for NO reason, he was "triggered", this is why parents can't be too 'nice' to their kids, show some discipline to these spoiled kids.
If a kid get sad or mad when you just say hi that probably means he could have mental issues. He could be having a autistic meltdown. Just because a kid has problems doesn’t mean they are a brat
@@LiterallyInklingGirl And just because a kid has problems doesn't mean he can be a brat. You may not be autistic by choice but you (or your parents for that matter) are still responsible for the effects of your autism.
@@madformuser thats not how autism works. autistic meltdowns often happen bc of anxiety or overstimulation. autistic ppl can be brats, but its not their autism that makes them brats.
I can agree with all. Tho, my mother has some of those types, I really need some space and when she heard that I need space, she just got so mad and started crying, all because she thinks it's ''okay'' to take all control over me. The fact she makes her room messy af herself, and then, she thinks I'm lazy, all because I ''don't'' wanna clean the room. I want to clean it, but with all the dishes and stuff she put on her bed, especially my side, it makes me uneasy. She even said, I have to share about my ''unbehavior'' to my psychological teacher, all because I also shared what my mother did. Like bro, all the stuff she says just makes exactly no sense.
I was the spoiled kid, but I actually understood that things costed money. So if I’m like “Mother would you be affiliated with getting me the Nintendo DS?” “No Child” “Ok.”
One thing I learned about having a helicopter parent is whenever you wanna spend the night at someone's crib or just hang out in general, tell them what they WANT to hear not what's actually gonna go down. Took like 1-2 days (usually takes longer tbh) to convince my parents to let me sleepover at my "friends house" but in reality we staying at a hotel and staying up all night lmao

And when I try to get my phone back he gets angry like give me some privacy? Hopefully he goes to business trips a lot so I can have some privacy.
My parents make me go to bed at 8:30 pm... every night. I also have to get permition to everywhere I go. I also have a phone with no data... I'm 15 edit: I'm also only aloud to be on screens for 2 hrs a day, They also don't alow me to stay home alone because they think ill do drugs or alcohol
I’ve gave it a lot of thought and here’s why it would suck to suddenly become a spoiled kid. If you got no wants in life then you got nothing to look forward to because everything is instantly given and never earned.
My parents were pretty strict, but in a good way. They just didn't want me to end up in the same position as most others do,namely screentime addicts. I was limited to only 1 hour of playing videogames per weekday and only 2 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. My homies were always complaining about how overly strict my parents were with my screentime and wanted me to play with them for longer. Fortunately,I now graduated from High school and my parents are allowing me to do my own thing. My homies are chill with my current position.
the strict parents, im glad they don’t exist anymore because of beatings. beatings were considered discipline, but it’s now considered child abuse for good.
I was a spoiled person when I was younger and there is a. Difference between a spoiled person and a spoiled brat a spoiled person is just grateful for everything and a spoiled brat is ungrateful
I cant leave my house alone, I go to sleep at 8:30, I cant take my phone to the bathroom, I constantly get my phone away for useless crap, I cant even have a sim for my phone, my mum has full control of my money, i cant use social and my ipad is 5 years old. Keep in mind I am 13 Most people in my school could leave town, they VAPE, don’t need to go to sleep, get so much social media and they get new tech each year. I am an artist, right? (Admittedly a trash one but yeah) and it took me a few YEARS to get my stylus and its not even an apple pencil. This random girl in my class, I have seen her art it is TRASH, is getting the apple pencil without asking. Some of these children istg
I am lucky to have chill parents. Once I was worried about a test as I was pretty much a nerd 🤓 but my parents told me (as I was in grammar school a school where you need to pass a test to get into): "it is better to get bad grades in a good school than good grades at a bad one."
3:20 Buddy, that doesn’t work I once had a friend who had the weak parents and when I would have sleepovers with him he would scream. And would not stop, he would follow his mom around the house and scream not yelling with words just screaming for hours on end and you could hear him from his basement. So there is no winning with that kid.

Whenever i think of a situation where my future daughter is going to hang out with her friends i can't help but think the worst possible situations like something bad is gonna happen or that she will be influenced by her friends into doing not-so-good things and it terrifies me everyday. It's really hard to be a good parent and I'm truly scared to see her becoming something i don't like (what i want for her to be is a good girl and a great woman and a great wife if she decides to date someone). Srry if my english looks bad
I have the chill parents. My two older brothers are working as sailors and now i am basically the only child. When it becomes summer, for example now, they become kind of the absent parents. Anyway i love my parents and they probably know how to be good parents after raising two successful men.
One of my classmates has both of her parents strict AND helicopter, and she actually dislikes them. Worst of all, her older brother agrees with her parents which just makes everything worse.

I got the calm Asian parents. They just care about my score at school. If I tell them that I committed tax fraud and severe war crimes, they will be like "ok no problem" but if I somehow get low scores like 50/80, there anger level reaches the peak
I’m still a kid and I have no experience whatsoever or an expert on parenting which should be obvious but I think it’s better if the parents chill parents but also until you tell them about the birds and the bees you should also be somewhat helicopter parent just keep an eye on em you know because I’m ten and trust me I’ve seen some “things” on the internet so kids should have like two hours of screen time exceptions may include movies

Nah man the strict parents be like "oh yeah my kid is sooo good" meanwhile they can hear and tell apart footsteps
Yeah, now I FEEL the need to hide everything I do, even though it is, not bad? But I am Hella scared of my dad's jugement, my mom is the only one who respects my privacy not to mention but he always comes up to me and snap my phone to see what am I doing, I am the only one of three kids who has this problem. And when I try to get my phone back he gets angry like give me some privacy? Hopefully he goes to business trips a lot so I can have some privacy.
My parents make me go to bed at 8:30 pm... every night. I also have to get permition to everywhere I go. I also have a phone with no data... I'm 15
edit: I'm also only aloud to be on screens for 2 hrs a day, They also don't alow me to stay home alone because they think ill do drugs or alcohol
I have got great parents, brothers and sisters, I cant complain, I am thankfull for them
I’ve gave it a lot of thought and here’s why it would suck to suddenly become a spoiled kid.
If you got no wants in life then you got nothing to look forward to because everything is instantly given and never earned.
You will also struggle with long term planning because you never worked to get what you want
@@anthonykhan1676 exactly. Also you would probably lose all sense of accomplishment because you could just buy a trophy when you lose.
My homies are chill with my current position.
the parent that gets you the shortest hair known to man even tho you didnt ask for it
😢h e l p m e
Yes it happens to me to
My mums the opposite. She forces me to have long hair 💀
the strict parents, im glad they don’t exist anymore because of beatings. beatings were considered discipline, but it’s now considered child abuse for good.
My parents are a combination of strict with chill. I think that’s great.

I was a spoiled person when I was younger and there is a. Difference between a spoiled person and a spoiled brat a spoiled person is just grateful for everything and a spoiled brat is ungrateful
01:98 You doctor yet?
01:98 No dad, I'm twelve.
01:98 Talk to me when you doctor.
6:34 way too many parents do this...
2:17 -Nah man, their going to use you as a flex to other parents.
My parents go into the chill category. They let me play M rated games, even though I’m a teenager and not legally a adult
I cant leave my house alone, I go to sleep at 8:30, I cant take my phone to the bathroom, I constantly get my phone away for useless crap, I cant even have a sim for my phone, my mum has full control of my money, i cant use social and my ipad is 5 years old. Keep in mind I am 13
Most people in my school could leave town, they VAPE, don’t need to go to sleep, get so much social media and they get new tech each year.
I am an artist, right? (Admittedly a trash one but yeah) and it took me a few YEARS to get my stylus and its not even an apple pencil. This random girl in my class, I have seen her art it is TRASH, is getting the apple pencil without asking. Some of these children istg
Run away at that point
Bro run away at that point and call cps
I am lucky to have chill parents. Once I was worried about a test as I was pretty much a nerd 🤓 but my parents told me (as I was in grammar school a school where you need to pass a test to get into): "it is better to get bad grades in a good school than good grades at a bad one."
2:47 "UM MOM GET ME THE IPHONE 14 PRO MAX WITH 250 GIG-"
The Parents that give their kid BPD/PTSD
Damn
3:20 Buddy, that doesn’t work I once had a friend who had the weak parents and when I would have sleepovers with him he would scream. And would not stop, he would follow his mom around the house and scream not yelling with words just screaming for hours on end and you could hear him from his basement. So there is no winning with that kid.
I’m so glad my parents are like this but I feel so bad for people who parents are, I hope it’s gets better you
These parents gotta go from the strict parents with the belt to the karen
Thanks for praying for me
0:45 they downbad when they start asking what race they are...
Parents: chill and strict
I literally have strict parents and IT'S SO ANNOYING BRO
It's not even just jobs they wanna control it's my sexuality, my gender, shit I can't control bro like who gives a fuck if I'm gay or trans like my dad wanted to kick me out shit is no joke
That's sad.
what do you mean control your gender? no noone can change your gender at all LOL and transgender is not real because you are not changing your gender a gender is what you were born as you can't change what you were born as, sure you can get a fake plastic surgery but it doesn't change your gender cause its what you were born as.
I blame myself for doing this to my mom.
I slip up and call her pookie sometimes 😨
2:58 the video-audio synchronization had me rolling
My dad was a helicopter parent so when I moved in with my mom (who was less strict) I made sure to never go back
Whenever i think of a situation where my future daughter is going to hang out with her friends i can't help but think the worst possible situations like something bad is gonna happen or that she will be influenced by her friends into doing not-so-good things and it terrifies me everyday. It's really hard to be a good parent and I'm truly scared to see her becoming something i don't like (what i want for her to be is a good girl and a great woman and a great wife if she decides to date someone).
Srry if my english looks bad
I’m actually between strict and chill. I can hang with my friends and do some other stuff, but then everything else is strict
Now we need a sequel about good parents
thank god i have chill parents
3:13 bro sounding like cris from family guy
I have the chill parents. My two older brothers are working as sailors and now i am basically the only child. When it becomes summer, for example now, they become kind of the absent parents. Anyway i love my parents and they probably know how to be good parents after raising two successful men.
I haven't experienced a dad joke at my house because I don't have one
Daaaang
I feel bad for you
Sorry bro, my mom and dad divorced when I was 1 😢
One of my classmates has both of her parents strict AND helicopter, and she actually dislikes them. Worst of all, her older brother agrees with her parents which just makes everything worse.
Bro I watched both Johnny Test and Fairly Odd Parents just yesterday. 1:50
And Timmy doesn't even have strict parents, they always find stupid ways for Vicky to be a babysitter
My mother also falls into the Picture Taking Mom category I grab a sandwich from Subway and she would take a picture I ain’t even lying I could be eating a steak PICTURE TIME
0:38 no worries. who needs a gf anyways? all i need is a cozy cabin on the matterhorn. (as long as i have aerial tramway)
I am absolutely blessed, my parents are the chill parents, i feel so bad for anyone with bad parents...
0:05 guess I was blessed
I was grounded for six months on the accusation that I was responsible for leaving out the batteries to the controllers of the family game console. I deny responsibility and yes I was paddled by the rubber spoon.
5:55 this is my mom
This makes me grateful to have such nice parents
I've been raised by the best parents
Damn you lucky w for you man
my parents physically torture me a lot
@@captaincluck838 damn bro you parents are abusers
@@captaincluck838 that's abusive 😭
0:34 Imagine ESTP w/ helicopter parents 🤣
Mine reverse the lock on my door inside out, screw around my college decisions all for a lousy associates degree I didn't want, place me into a mental hospital under medication to have an annoying therapist, and said my father was not my actual. I will never love them and I damn them eternally remind me then f off and don't bother me with problems they got nowhere to solve. That's what you call devious parents scumbags.
Male variant of soccer moms: Go-kart dads. Fighting the winner's dad since whenever they started racing those things.
Dad jokes have been around longer than dad’s themselves
they havent, dads have existed for as long as the earth existed. dad jokes only existed since 1987, also the oldest known joke was a fart joke back in the BC era, not a dad joke.
@@sammyssandwich **r/wooooooooosh**
@@RealThermite that subreddit doesn't even exist, do you mean r/woosh??? it doesn't have that many o's in it.
@@sammyssandwich idk if you're joking, but dads have most definitely not existed as long as the earth
@@MisterMeister1 they have?
My parents are such helicopters that I am not allowed to have a door
2:36 A.K.A. Cartman’s Mom
Bro I love how you used PABLO ESCOBAR for the absent parent lol so true 😂
Nah but why did the chill parents fall into the worst parents video 💀
Idk
if theyre too chill and doing nothing or giving everything, thats neglect.
I remember that my parents used to be on the stricter side, but as time went on, they cared less about what I do in life as long as I don’t cross any specific line.
@6:45 that means it's working lmao.
like this video is so bae its not even funny.
@@Nightout88what
Glad i have chill parents.
I love dad jokes to be honest.
I got the calm Asian parents. They just care about my score at school. If I tell them that I committed tax fraud and severe war crimes, they will be like "ok no problem" but if I somehow get low scores like 50/80, there anger level reaches the peak
3:06. bruh her eye lids are backwarsds
4:06
4:41 chill my man y you do that
I’m still a kid and I have no experience whatsoever or an expert on parenting which should be obvious but I think it’s better if the parents chill parents but also until you tell them about the birds and the bees you should also be somewhat helicopter parent just keep an eye on em you know because I’m ten and trust me I’ve seen some “things” on the internet so kids should have like two hours of screen time exceptions may include movies
nah bruh u forgot the religious parents
Whenever i see my mom’s side of the family, it’s a whole ass red carpet photo shoot 😭
