RIP. My signature collection woody's movie accurate pull string ring came off and you can guess what happened next. 100 dollars wasted. I super glued it on and it still came off...100 dollars wasted lol. Its hand was broken anyway. still couldn't after your video, You are an legend!!!
Sorry to hear that…. You have to knot it… then double knot it.. then add a drop of super glue and then one more triple knot that would do the trick best! Every time I did that I never had a problem with the pull string ring coming off. I will admit modding toys isn’t for everyone and it is hard to do sometimes. Practice makes perfect.
Hey pal I had idea for your custom movie accurate buzz instead of using magnets for the wrists I found on eBay hobby base joints and they look like they could fit buzz and they have smaller just in case
The joints have since been replaced with real ball joint sockets! No more magnets. If you watch my video here ruclips.net/video/yG2AYeuL1xE/видео.html it explains more my current Buzz mod the update of what was done to him differently, he got modded again!
Todayigrewup when you help me build a movie woody doll voice box my cousin came and he trowed woody and his voice box broke in I'm going to make a new one
I don’t want to do that because if I’m going for a movie accurate Woody (which I am) in the movie Woody was a floppy and a rag doll body with no wires.
Hey, the string in my Woody’s voicebox has some stripping starting towards where I’ve tied it to the ring; the outer layer of the string is sliding down under where it’s tied. Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this or prevent it from happening? Thank you in advance.
I would try and leave it alone for now but if it gets worse you might have to re-tie it and super glue it. What you can do right now to help is add super glue to the knot to toughen it up/seal it more and harden that should help hold it together without having to untie it.

I don’t really want use super glue on it, just in case, for any reason, I may need to take the voicebox out or replace the ring. Honestly I super glue all my knots and it helps but that’s just me otherwise if you want to use it and not just display it.. you’re gonna have that issue down the line… if you don’t super glue and you use it a lot you run that risk.. in that case you have to just untie and re-tie and triple knot if you can..
@@todayigrewup my previous knot held together pretty well (actually seemed to strengthen with use, oddly enough) without glue. I only undid the knot today because the way the ring was dangling in the knot was bugging me. It was one of those knots that was a lot harder to untie than it was to tie. I don’t mean to question your methods at all, btw, you are the expert with Toy Story mods, after all, I’m just concerned about future possibilities (like making repairs/mods), but maybe I’m overthinking it. 😅
Sorry but I don’t like Medicom Woody he has ugly seam lines on the back of his face because the faces are interchangeable, his jeans are too dark, not super floppy, his face looks kinda dead not enough rosy cheeks, he has no working pull string and doesn’t talk and the spurs and belt buckle are the wrong color, he has a lot of problems to be movie accurate to me.
I'd buy one for Jessie and one for Woody, but you said limit 1. So since they can't match I can't buy one. 🥺 Well mine are less than movie accurate... So I'll just buy a thing of rings off a website. May not be as good as yours but will be way better than what they gave us. Ty for hint about 13mm. You rock.
I haven’t measured it but it’s a good length.. having something too long becomes an inconvenience I know because I made one with a long string and it just was more annoying to deal with.

The toy story collection Brazilian woody from thinkway toys after studying the bandana in the movie to the bandana my Brazil Woody came with, the pattern is movie accurate! So the bandanna to me doesn’t need to be customized.
