Hello sorry it took me so long to get back to you, im just seeing your message. I use Bird Dog in Layton Hill 7 miles west of Chatom AL. his cell number is 251 591 9952, his CB shop number is 251 847 2770 he will work on most people stuff, but don`t work on Stryker Radio`s.

I thought you are supposed to put like 5 watts or less through the Texas Star for best results. In this video you are saying put watts from one amp into the Texas Star. Well I am completely confused now.
Hey 990 God bless how do I get my swr down in my mobile, I have in place a Cobra 148gtl with a an inline swr meter,and a 5 pill with 1446s in line. My swrs read like this,, with radio alone it reads on channel 20 a flat 1 and a .1 on channel 40 and channel 1.but when I turn on my amplifier it shoots up sky hi to the end of the red part of the swr meter.on low, and it shows 110 deadkey and 150 to 175 swing and on medium it shows 150 deadkey and swings 225 watts swing , don't have enough amps to push on hi so I don't push it. But my swr with linear on is through the roof. What am I doing wrong 😢.
Hello sorry it took me so long to see your question. I myself always set the SWR'S on the antenna with just the antenna hooked to a MFJ analyzer. Once this is done, I then place all amps in line and recheck. If any adjustments need to be made, then is the time to make them. Someone else may do it differently, but that's the way I do it. So far it has been working out great for me. I'm not burning anything up. Thanks for the question, and Happy Thanksgiving

But when I turn ON the Amp my SWR goes to 1.7, 1.8. It’s this normal or should I trim - tuned the antenna even more ? Thanks 🙏🏽
Okay I would like to know what is a good-sized jumper 3 ft 6 ft 12 ft? I seen one video where it was 3 12 ft jumper from radio to 2 amp to antenna coax 213....
Something that has to be tested, one amp will will like a 3 foot when others like 6. It is impedance changes the amp Sees. Closest to 50 ohm the amp witnesses the better it performs.
