Cloud Painting and palette layout/Travel tip-

These are my final touch-ups to my Acrylic Cloud Painting video. Using "Golden Open Acrylics."
This was filmed on Cape Cod en plein air. I copied the luscious clouds from one of my paintings done in Hyannis Port, MA
I have explained many of my tips to do with my composition, creating depth, and the way I use my 2 coverable pallets.Also I fly often with my 2 pallets full of paint. First cover, put in plastic bag and put a note to:
"TSA - If you need to open mt palettes please put cover back just as you found it or paints get mixed!
I plan to do more of these short painting tutorials.

TIPS FOR ACRYLIC PAINTING:
1.) Shade - stay out of the sun and wind somewhat. I use a beach umbrella most of the time using weights or rope to secure it to a couple of stable objects around me.
2.) Use slow-drying acrylics such as "Golden Open Acrylics" or "Slow-Dry Retardant mixed into the paints.
3.) Use a coverable palette and spray bottle to lightly mist paints with water in the mixing tray and palette and keep closed when possible.
4.) Paint quickly and use larger sized brushes (I even suggest using a timer to help remember to work fluidly and not get lost too much in the details)
