I’d been interested in this for years but it always seemed to be out at discounters then Macy’s had their friends and family sale. I picked up 200ml bottle for cheaper than retail. I agree it’s overhyped but still a good and quite enjoyable fragrance if you like rocking a sweet fragrance.
My SOTD! My skin chemistry just drinks up any fragrance on my skin but I get the 12 hour range with this too! A spray or two on the arm and it’s a fall asleep scent!
I own Ultra Male and it's a unique sweet scent and attention grabber for sure. I get a good 10 to 12 hrs in performance and has garnered me compliments. Great review Ross! Shout out from Costa Rica
I just got my sample today and I love it. I smelled this before but couldn't remember where then it hit me. A few years back I had a pretty good size beard and I bought some beard butter from Fresh beards. I got the barbershop scent and it smells almost exactly like this. 👍
I just got it in the mail yesterday and honestly, my first impressions were that it made me think of old school candy like you would get at like sporting goods place like Dick's or Big 5.
I was hell bent on getting this last winter. I couldn't find it for a price that I was comfortable with so I went with Le Parfum instead. I'm going to cop this and the OG at some point this winter.
I just bought a 4.2 oz. tester bottle of the original Le Male from Kingdom Fragrances for about $45.98. I'm not sure, though, if it's one of the better formulations/batches. That might be the best price for it right now.
Definitely one of my top 2 most complimented fragrances. After wearing it so much as an every day scent though you may get tired of the sweet smell and need to change up the rotation
Same here ! I love JPG ultra male, but i only use it like once a week, because i don't want to get desensitized to the smell of this fragance. And i wouldn't use it during hot days, because the cinnamon takes over a bit the other notes.

It's not discontinued, if you are referring for example to that email from last year that was faked by some german guy and I called him out. I know how the companies interact and write their responses and the wording they use and that was written poorly und not professional at all. Ultra Male is everywhere in stock, retail, discounters anywhere you can get fragrances. However, stocks outside of europe can run out once in awhile due to the shipping delays and difficulties caused by the pandemic. However, some regions such as Australia, New Zealand don't have and never had Ultra Male on retail, just like North and South America don''t have e.g. Le Beau to this day.
I’ve had this for probably 4 or 5 years and never hardly wore it. Wasn’t really my type but I’ve starting broadening my fragrance collection and style. Just put a spray on about 15 minutes ago and enjoy it. Crazy how that works lol. I do like it!
I bought a bottle earlier this week and can't wait to open it this weekend. Bought it because I'm going on vacation to Houston in a couple weeks and will be in a party atmosphere.
The dry down is insane! Got a totally different scent, a really smooth scent, I gotta learn the names of these notes. I think the dry down is a clean lavender scent, slight soapy, but clean n fresh. Definitely gonna start checking out more jean paul gaultier frags!
My SOTD is Hugo Boss Man Extreme..almost the same scent as the OG hugo man but more potent in regards to longevity & performance..its a really good alternative to the reformulated hugo boss man if you like that scent

Well, Ultra Male has very fruity-sweetness slightly fresh in the beginning with the spicy darkness, Intensely has a more christmas-like woody, burned, candied, roasted and darker sweetness in the beginning. They are both very sweet but different sweetness at the same time. The SWY is probably more compareable because it also has a kinda fruity sweetness but spicy woody roasted sweetness though of course.
I have le male and I been wearing it since it came out a few decades ago. But once they changed to Spain , the smell 👃 it cheap. I will try this one . Have you ever done a video of sweet fragrances for men ?
I swear, the best part of these videos is when you sling their packaging. At some point I want to see like a small hoop far in the corner of the scene and you hit a shot over your shoulder or something.
Just blind bought this.. Came here to see what others think... Its so sweet that it makes me sick to my stomach. The next day , when I smell the spot on my clothing , its nice and suttle , but that blast of girly sweetness in the opening makes me not feel well. Wife said it smells like womens perfume. So ill be selling it on market place I guess.

I love the opening I wish it sort of lasted longer, after the sweet pear goes away all I have for hours is a burnt vanilla smell, not sure if anyone else gets the same ?
I have the 2015 X batch- it is STUNNING niche quality- bigger pear top punch and more concentrated tonka base. This is imo more a fantastic morning uplifting winter scent over the clubs. It's not as much sexy as it is bright beautiful and uplifting. EROS is sexy where as this is just rich bright and playful. Stay away from Puigs- they have a mass produced linear quality.
JPG Ultra Male is on female radars for negatively effecting lives and is that not important in the scheme of things to suggestive value....if I may ask.I think it is fresh but...
I have this as well as Le'male Parfum and I do enjoy them both. That said I also picked up a Ultra Male clone by Afnan called 9PM and I have to say the two are scary close in smell and performance and you can get 9PM for around 25 to 30 dollars as most discounters.
Are you talking about newer bottles of that Afnan fragrance? I've only heard about it, but I've also heard that newer batches of it might not be as strong as before (I wouldn't know, though).
@@regismonkton I'll be honest with you I don't buy into all that talk about old, new, reformulated blah, blah, blah that people do. This frag came out in 2020 so really how much can it change in that short a time and why would they? I got my bottle last year so it's a 2020 bottle and as far as my nose can tell it's every bit as good as JPG. I did a side by side comparison and I could pick up just the slightest difference in the opening (apple vs. pear) but that's only because I had them side by side on my skin. Had I not had them that way I don't know that I could have been able to tell a difference. Trust me it's well worth the price!
Its overhyped to the regular consumer. Not many people can get their noses on the good stuff. Now that I've had a chance to smell a good deal of stuff(bc I'm older) I buy it for nostalgia reasons. I bought remembering how good it was back in 2001. But man had my nose matured. I dont feel the same but like I said I'm keeping it for nostalgia reasons only:)

Ultra Male and One Million Lucky will forever be in my fragrance rotation when I’m craving to smell sweet and masculine.

Same as you ; ( fragrances people say last 12 hrs seems to last only 2-3 hrs on me

Le Parfum is gorgeous. Great alternative to leave La Nuit de L’homme rest in peace.
Don't skip on it in spring and cool summer days! When it's not cold it gets super fruity and sparkly

75-80% or 95% similar?
Afnan is a bit more bubblegummy to my nose but it is similar. 9pm lasts 12 hours easy

I like this one even more than parfum. The parfum is more grown up but also more generic sweet spices. This one is unique!

I’m researching this fragrance and I’ve been reading that the first or earlier batch is much stronger than the later batch.
If you want to tone down the sweetness, layer it with Dior Sauvage Edt!

Lol same thing happened to me at Sephora last week. Went back to work and I couldn’t get over how good Armani smelled on me. That vanilla is nice

Great smell for me this one! But no performance for me really strange. Maybe a few hours with 1 hour projection

Try Dua error 406. Identical no joke with extrait de parfum performance. Clones are rarely the same but this is ultra male spot on
