I'm a new Gen Z player, started playing probably last month, and I've maxed out my ammo and equipment trees very quickly. I had loads of resources just from grabbing everything when I emptied a house or a base, made a load of lockpicks, when I levelled up I recycled all the made lockpicks and recovered half of the material back. Same goes with ammo, I picked up loads of .32 recycled them all, remade them again for points, then just recycled them again. I wish crafting was making things that you _can't_ pick up in game... like combining those useless small, medium and large fuel cells to make throwable impact explosives? or plastic + gasoline + explosive canister = napalm bomb? or any explosive + field radio = remote explosive?
One thing that i wish the devs thought about was progression of experience, buff the costs and amounts but not to what it was so that early characters would NEED to rely on scavenging adding to the survival aspect but add more ways to get resources that aren't grind intensive like npc scavangers to your bases (they did increase the amount of resources that can be stockpiled after all), but you need to set up the supply chain, build bases, recruit npcs, develop the resistance. This would represent the escalation of the conflict and a clear path for end game characters where they come from a scared scavenging teenager to one of the leaders of the resistance. And if a player gets nostalgic about the early scavenging days he could always reset or create a new world, since the resource gathering is tied to what you built not your character.
Yes the crafting they made a huge mistake on, the only thing that came out of the update that really stood out to me is the skill tree for the schematics. They are going to have to come back and change the crafting back.
With the new update, me and my friend simply cannot play gz anymore. Our fighting style was burn ammo and craft with resources, now all of our time grinding steel, gp and such has been wasted. Really hoping they revert or adjust the crafting to its former glory.
To be honest i think crafting is a lot easier now! most of the harder to get materials from before ive been getting from all over the place not just hunting machines. Electrolytes, copper, titanium and tungsten all seem more abundant specially if you scrap everything. Thank you devs for lowing the minimum number you have to have to scrap something to 1!! Love it!! Edit: If they would give back the old amounts you would get when crafting something and keep the new loot tables it would be perfect!
Just started playing the game and am now at a point where my medpack stacks are decreasing, not being able to craft enough to keep up the supply, forcing me to go scavenging more vigilantly before picking big fights.
Couple this with my grinding 14 rivals and the Reaper 3 times, only to get NONE of the new experimentals and I'm getting heated. It's costing me a lot of time, effort and resources, only to come up empty-handed every time on the new weapons. The only reason it's viable at all is because I'm using my farming vanguard. I'm frankly pissed about the fact that they took so long and solicited the community for suggestions for new experimentals so many freaking times, that to roll out with only 3 new experimentals of extremely questionable conception power or use, is frankly insulting to those of us who have supported them continually, buying DLC packs of just more regular weaponry, also of questionable usefulness. Only for them to simultaneously roll out another DLC of crappy regular weapons I would also probably never use, asking for further support. Support to do what? Nerf the crap out of the crafting system unasked? Offer us a long-range-only weapon, with no freaking scope available to use on it, screwy arcing and poor damage? A gun that shoots like garbage until you overheat it, whereupon it immediately shuts down? A magnus which is essentially only good in fighting a crowded corridor of enemies, which almost never happens in the game at all, let alone late game? Naw. They can shove their DLCs up their asses if this is the kind of insult we can expect as players and supporters of them as developers. The above-mentioned grind by itself proves how irresponsible they're being with the player's time. Let alone our money. I didn't buy those DLCs to support their next game. I did it to support further responsible development of this one. Which I will no longer do, until they show that they can act like they actually give a shit, or have a single creative bone in their collective bodies in doing so. This says nothing about the fact that if you include the experimentals and the DLCs, there are a grand total of 4 melee weapons (which aren't even worth using) in the entire game. We have literally waited YEARS for these things they have promised and we have given them the support they asked for. They on the other hand, have decided to slap us in the face with their dicks. I'm done with this crap and with them, until they pull their heads out of their asses.
I'm gonna be honest: The crafting still feels fine to me as someone who's constantly running and gunning. I find plenty of ammo, and I scrap so much that I never run low on resources to make more if I need to. So long as you have the perk for additional ammo pickups you'll be fine.
Yeah me too I have no problems I have lots of explosive s and scrap metal I think at the moment after I used a little bit I have like 1500 I scrap so much 762 I'm never going to run low I have the ammo skill maxed out that gives you more ammo you get so much ammo just scrap what you don't want and don't use and you'll get s*** tons of explosives
The issue really comes into making certain types of ammo. (AT WAD and every exp ammo type and equipment). The amount of resources required to only get such a miniscule amount is not worth it. The system still exist to those who use the skill points towards other thing rather than the ammo loot skill. So it basically forces every player to acquire that skill making the crafting a pointless asset to even consider because the return is far too little for the work required.
That's exactly the point he was making in this video is that crafting is pointless now why would I craft three rounds of 50 cal where I could go farming and find 20 rounds the whole purpose of crafting is to help give you an edge with a specific ammo type you're wanting to use if it doesn't do that then there's literally no point in doing it at all I'm getting to the point to where I'm unlocking adrenaline shots to craft that's literally the only thing I'm going to craft once I unlock that but even then the price is too expensive so I probably won't even do that
Destroy fire birds. Your welcome. Im having no problem and I just came back to the game after over a year I don't use crafting I get all my ammo from machines and especially the new firebird it's insane the amount of 50 and 7.62 they drop and the perk that gives you 100% more ammo.
i blow through TRUCKLOADS of simple first aids (they're so easy to make) and it DEAVISTATED me when they nerfed the craft amount from ten per to one per.
Not upset with the change at all. I use the same weapons all the time: PVG90 (5 crown), experimental 59, experimental m4, experimental kpist, and the rocket launcher. Firebird drops a ton of .50, killing a few gives me a decent surplus. 7.62 is common and easy to find. There's multiple locations near FT points that are virtually empty most of the time and can come out with 2.5 to 5 full mags for the 59. 9mm smg is extremely common, I usually need to bank it so I'm not bogged down by it. There's also locations that have an assortment of explosives to recycle for material (hotel wine cellar for dlc, FOA facility in the NW: inside the circular arena just to the right of open giant doors). It gets slightly grindy, but I'm constantly looking for things to improve my arsenal as is. This is also supposed to be a war torn country that's invested with robots. Being a mega manufacturer of all things completely kills that aspect. I know I'm the minority, but it's like the devs have let go of our hands.
One can craft an Ammo Box from a car battery EMP and a grenade. It gives 30 rounds of .50 BMG, and as far I know, any sort of ammunition that's in your magazine at the moment, at least the basic AP and FMJ. Though I don't have any experimental versions of .50 so I'm not sure about those.
TBH I rarely crafted things anyway. At times I crafted .50 cal. ammo and upgraded clothes with new schematics but that's about it. Mostly the ammo was done not because I needed it but because the stockpile was maxed out and I do like to scrap stuff that's useless to me. So 3 or 4 rounds is fine for me in that way but I'm a minority to say the least. It's bullshit for other players and people should be pissed. I did notice they lowered the minimum amount needed to scrap stuff so at least that was some improvement. Blast the hell out of Hunters, Tanks, and those flying spaghetti monsters until they remove heads from asses I guess. Back to the old ways
I'm a new player to the game, so the change wasn't one that was obvious till I noticed a different look to the schematics and when I started crafting. I DID notice a sudden increase in machine loot and an increase in the number of grenades, flashbangs, mines, explosive rockets and more that I've scavenged from ammo containers. I don't really confront machines unless I have to, or if I feel like taking down a rival to decrease my threat level. Other times, I watch Soviet machines and FNIX machines destroying one another, and I come in to clean sweep the surviving machines and scavenge the remains. Now, the crafting is kind of a bummer. I DID notice the crafting amounts. However, it isn't much of an issue for me since I'm a grinder. I make sure to pick locations clean of ALL loot. Any excess weapons I find, I break down for the resources. Excess ammo because the max chest limit is 400?! Let's break down some equipment or surplus ammo. 5000 7.62 rounds? Time to cut that in half. What I really want is a container with an infinite limit. ;-; Good news, I finally found 5-star gear that aren't weapon mods!
"Other times, I watch Soviet machines and FNIX machines destroying one another" Oh man i do the same. More than i like to admit :D It is always a great show and in enjoy all the fantastic Sounds of that Machine vs Machine Fights. At Night, this is absolutely fantastic. Especially great, when Firebirds join the Action. :D I find myself also having way too much Ammo and killing my Inventory. Congrats on the first 5 Crown. My first 5 Crown was the Rocketlauncher as aDrop from a Tank. Gladly, there is a lot of Ammo for this boy everywhere.
@@NexusGaming857 Oh yes. The Wolf is quite tanky against Hits to the Front. I found myself this Night being a Vulture in these Fights, looting the dead ones and finishing of the low health Wolfs with rockets in their Backs. It was majestic. Its just the Firebirds that really seem to have long range Sensors. But i love it. Hiding in a House or Shed, laying of the Floor, while the whole House is bombarded and the ground shakes and Windows shatter. It is pure Madness. I love it so much. While playing alone, the Atmosphere is really different. I really hope, we will maybe see more machines in the Future. Maybe just one type each for both Fractions. A third Fraction with the same, maybe overridden Machines would be .. i really don't know why i would need that. But i do not get tired of this. I really do not know why i started this late with the game. But maybe it was just the right time this years after all the Updates. Oops, that was a bit much now. sry :D
Being a daily player and I was grinding for a long time and has 1000's of materials and few clicks of the controller I'd have 10k in rounds now I'm lucky to get 500
My friend and I started this game a year ago and didn’t really understand it so we put it down, but we recently picked it up again and had another friend get it and we’re a lil concerned on how long it’s going to take to get the adrenaline shots recipe. We’re all learning the game so we die pretty often during fights but we’ve started running out of shots and crafting them seems now impossible with how many skill points needed to unlock the recipe. Also happy new years🎉
Almost 1.5 years later and they made an improvement to some of the crafting but not much. It's really sad that just grabbing a single skill point into finding more ammo negates any need to craft ammo at all. If you get both points for the full bonus then you find more ammo than you should ever use. Personally I'm a stealth sniper in most situations and I tend to use rifles for most of my damage at long range, but that comes with more damage per bullet so less rounds need to be replaced. I have backup weapons for different uses and those tend to over flow with excess ammo that I tear down to make my rifle ammo when that rare chance happens that I need to. I really wish they would lower the cost of the general crafting recipes so we can actually have a reason to use them. The other reason I scavenge so much is because I'm saving resources for crafting mods. There is no point to waste resources on companion armor or consumables/ammo. Because I'm long range stealth I find extra med kits so no need to craft those either. I'm tempted to grab the other ammo finder skill point just so I can store excess on a mule. I recently started completely from scratch so I'm not to that point, but I will eventually get there. I am enjoying the game in short bursts. After about 3 hours all the jump scares got me needing a more chill game.
I hope you stick around, this is a bad-ass game. They just have to un-fuck this. I'm just using this as an opportunity to hoard materials, that's the "silver lining"...I guess.
Sorry I do not see it this way. I just bought the game in Jan '23. Crafting is every useful. I need to find ammo but I also craft for things I am low on. I frequently get new materials for it. I have to manage my ammo. I imagined if I was used to a formerly easier crafting mechanic it would be a let down because of the contrast. But I love that ammo management is a thing. Myself, and two new players I play with, are often crafting and enjoying the hell out of this game.
Have you changed your mind after 2 months? Ammo management as in trying to find space to store the tens of thousands of rounds you get every hour or so
@@MasterTiccu I haven changed my mind...I was saying that I found crafting is very useful. The only thing that has changed is that I put skill points in a loot perk and now ammo is more plentiful. So now I dont have to manage ammo like before. But I find crafting useful to make 7.62 and also many types of equipment. I thought the original point of this video was that crafting was too expensive and made it useless. I still find it relatively forgiving and am now awash in ammo.
Generally I'm finding the changes to be a major step backwards for the game and especially for newer players that don't have oodles of rarer crafting resources. I like the idea behind the overhaul of the schematic system in terms of obtaining them and being able to scrap smaller batch amounts so you don't have to collect 10s of certain items, but the new output levels from crafting are quite frankly ridiculous. As a fairly new / casual player I was just getting into the realm of Experimental crafting, however these changes make that largely worthless for me now. The return on investment for ammo and medkits is so low now that there no point in me wasting what limit reserves of uranium I have, I really do consider general crafting now a waste of resources but especially for the Exp items. Hopefully they can find a way to better balance this in the near future, because right now it's no where near it needs to be. They definitely missed the mark by a long way.
@FACT 3X Honestly I don't know as I've never looking to mods for Gen Z before, sorry. Would definitely be useful if there was some kind of crafting revamp mod though!
I think the new system will get better. I also believe the previous system made getting everything way too easy. Maybe if they just slightly increased the amounts of equipment and drastically increased the ammo it would be better
i cant believe they nerfed crafting. i would always craft 556 AP ammo cuz i could never find it, this just makes the game less fun and more grindy. im still gonna play but now im just gonna have to grind a bit more
I agree, my problem with it is you can't count on RNG for ammo drops (from killing machines) and the thought of bunker diving over and over isn't appealing. I love this game, but they REALLY humped the bunk with this one...
Just got into this game a couple weeks ago, I really hoped they would fix the blurriness on console. Even on my Series X it looks like there is Vaseline smeared on my TV.
Based on these reviews im going to recycle all the FMJ and craft all the 7.62 and 9mm shock ammo i need before updating to this Dangerous Experiments update. Replacing all FMJ with only Shock Ammo and AP rounds
I totally agree with you. Old system was superior where the resources were harder to come by instead of making it impossibly expensive. If I need .50 bmg I usually take down a couple of firebirds. They also drop loads of 5.56 (gotten up to 900 fmj and 200 ap)
Honestly the new weapons pack is awesome, the new expirementals are also awesome, but the fun ends there. The crafting sucks now, I've started to have massive lag spikes in areas where I was able to run 100 fps. I dunno if anyone else is having lag issues, but I dunno what is with this update.
It's been this way for a while for me. Since around the time they added the Russian machines at least. Mine goes to hell around that big crater northish of the airport and a few other places around the map that used to be good for density of machines in the past. By "hell" I don't mean some little mouse fart like briefly dipping to 50 or 60FPS, I mean going from 100FPS to a 4 or 5 second delay between a button press and a gunshot and staying that way until you leave these "special" areas. Any worse and you would travel backwards through time. 🤢🤮 The rest of the map works perfectly. Now I have to avoid certain places like the plague. It seems to have something to do with render distance from what I've seen. The distance for things to "pop-in" is closer than it is to disappear. This is normal enough but it's exactly how this shitty lag works even if only 1 or 2 machines render. The second it hits you, it's not as easy as taking a step or 2 backwards to stop it. You have to go back 20 or 30 yds to get back to normal. Again this is normal for just render distance, the problem is the lag is tied to it somehow. I could understand if 4000 machines suddenly had to render, but this happens even if none do. There are literally lag "boundaries" around these areas. The same rock you stepped on today that turns things to shit will be the same one tomorrow...and the next day...and a month later...and 2 years from now for all I know. There have been updates but this hasn't been addressed.
The only reason they did this is because this community is completely against change so I think this is just their way of keeping the players from complaining about a small nerf later on.
To be honest I don’t mind grinding for stuff but when the stuff I have to fight starts glitching in the ground and I can’t fight them is where I have a problem with keep up the great work and amazing videos
Me with my storage box close to 500/500 with 8k explosive close to 10k steel along with 4.6k plastic near 6k adhesive 2k rubber 3.1k textile 1.8k thread 845 gun parts coupled with 2.2k ultra capacitors 600 copper close to 600 electrolytes near 400 titanium 300 cement 514 Aluminum 41 tungsten 66 uranium 1.6k accelerant just a lil over 6k lead and finally 2k wood because you get so much ammo you free to scarp it and make better ammo if you want or anything I just need to find out what to do with it major problem is being you break even and/or make profit with ammo losses depending on what your fighting and using including what you collect fl bodies you don’t use then scarp to make ammo you do use I don’t see crafting as isles so see it as unbalanced from my scrapping spree to save storage for the storage box to not lose all of its storage to emps, bombs, and ammo I’ll never use up in time ;-; inning made 200 made for a raid for fun and only used 50 which sums up the issue and is coated the rest not caring of the lost being nothing to my storage
I seriously have no clue what the devs are thinking with this. I get that some materials are required less now for crafting but the amount you get FROM crafting has been reduced in some cases by almost 80%! What's the point of crafting .50 cal now if it takes me 34 button presses to craft 100 bullets?
I got REALLY used to not having to farm; now I am running out of .50 cal ammo both FMJ and AP. The thought farming again makes me sad in the pants. I can't justify spending the materials on the ammo.
I think the new crafting makes the game a bit harder, in a good way. It keeps me on my toes knowing that health is a scarce resource. Now when I fight enemies, I think more about when and where to attack from, how to dodge attacks, and when I should reload without getting caught with my pants down
I love the changes to the schematic for crafting but the amount of material it takes and the amount you get from the craft is just complete trash and useless literally useless if you're going to craft ammo for 50 cal to kill off one group of enemies in order to farm the resources to do that assuming you get lucky with resource drops you would have to kill probably five groups of enemies and in that farming five groups chances are you'll pick up more 50 cal then you can even craft if the crafting isn't going to give you an edge what is good for absolutely nothing
Hi wired gaming great video as always really enjoyed it I agree the crafting is now gone to sh*t I was trying to make standard medkits yesterday and before you neaded textile thread and acelrent to make them now it's bloody adhesive and textile it took me ages to find them it's absolutely rediculous
just got to lvl 30, crafting is so bad, even for weapon mods, i cant even do 1 gold mod yet and i have like 20 different gold weapons that id love to try augmenting, 1 year later and this is still rough, no mods either from what i can see to fix this :(
There's no way I am going to craft 3 rounds of ammo. There are mods that give you 1000 of each type, and as I can tell, infinite carry weight and storage. I want to have fun, not spend my entire life trying to kill these robots with next to no ammo. I just don't have that kind of time in my life to spend!
Ok so I’m a little upset. I haven’t sat down and done all the math yet but I think it was nerfed a little too much. I’m thinking that if they wanted to nerf things that you can grid for I still disagree but ok. But nerfing experimental ammo!!! come on😮. Equipment, “experimental” medkits, are just a few of the items that can not be farmed (that I’m aware of). They must be crafted. I appreciate the crafting resources being more widely available and easy to find. I just feel like way way more resources will be need to craft what I need. Oh and the amount of resources (ie; ammo, medkits, etc) needed to get uranium and cement is pretty off putting. Thanks for the videos keep ‘em coming!
I hate that it was nerfed so heavily, they could have increased the cost for crafting, or they could have doubled the amount of resources you got from killing enemies
I'll say the changes for apparel schematics is definitely better if all be it. I wouldn't like to get more apparel points for an apocalypse tank than if I just killed a prototype runner/hunter, but the new system gives more player agency/choice in what they want to unlock first. As far as crafting ammo, it's a huge nerf basically just killed crafting any ammo whatsoever. Since I don't seem to get much of any 7.62 ammo to drop often or when it does, it isn't very plentiful. For me to use any gun that takes 7.62, which for some reason feels like every gun in the game, I kinda needed and relied on crafting 7.62. As for a more specific number here, crafting ammo is only a fifth as good as it used to be. We used to be able to craft 125 5.56 rounds per craft. Now it's only 25. I have no idea why someone would even craft 5.56 since not only is it ridiculously common but extreme plentiful to such an extent you could find anywhere between 500 to 2,000 5.56 rounds on a single machine. (2,000 as 1,000 FMJ and 1,000 AP), but it has only been made worse by this change. Why craft any ammo when I can just use 5.56 on everything and still come out with more 5.56 than when I started. I do definitely feel this is a change that needs to be reverted in some way since I would like to use the rest of the guns I have that, for some reason all take 7.62 at this rate why not give me a comically large spoon or knife to fight the machines with.
I found this video because I was just wondering why I need to craft anything other then perhaps better clothes. It started to seem pointless and rather a cumbersome endeavor carrying around all that weight of resources and getting very little out of it. Thanks, you answered my question!
I never had an issue managing ammo but being able to craft it is a bonus . It's not meant to be end game supply every bullet you need. Just a nice bonus for room to breath.
I don't know how it is now as only started playing last month but I need to keep steel for weapon augmentation and resources so am trying to only craft ammo for ones that don't need steel
I'm a new player (this month on PS PLUS!) and I find the crafting to be a little unbalanced but not terrible. I can never get enough steel, for one. I have to prioritize making rockets vs. AP for the .50 and I frequently run low on both. I feel like if I take down a giant harvester maybe I should get more steel... especially since it takes so much to make the rockets
Hi Wired, I paid good money for my explosive doggy. Now it's LOCKED behind crafting points!! But the screen won't let me craft anything!! I'm confused and very, very annoyed. It says I can craft arrows! But I don't have that DLC!!! So I can't craft those either!!!!!!
Well damn, I just started the game and every post is super deflating. I love a challenge, also love an ending. Seems unachievable from what I understand.
they have nerfed crafting but they increased drops making it worth keeping everything to scrap and makes the game worth working and with the new bruksflak bike you have storage with you and can scrap stuff out there
Imho the crafting wasnt useful to begin with. I mean crafting stuff thats already available is a bit redundant. And crafting jackets or t-shirts that adds 1 or 2 percent better bullet or fire prove isnt worth it either. Sadly they made exp weapons loot instead of the player crafting them after having found the plan and the parts. That would be a useful crafting in my view. Or that the player can repair defective and worn out weapons. And that weapons wear out over time, etc. I mean wouldnd that make more sense ? Anyway, after this update i started a new campaign run and like some ppl before me noted some things are hard or/and in very low quantity to find while other things are overly plentiful. In my case its explosives. Every ammo box contains a explosive. Weird. Another example is ammo for the shotguns. Birdshot everywhere, buckshot way lesser and mostly in one digit numbers, slugs are rare but when found its 20 or 30 shots.
I'm putting this game down completely until they fix this bullshit. Actually, they're going to have to bring something serious to the table on _top_ of fixing these goddamn crafting nerfs to get me back into the game. Avalanche was doing so good before, they listened to what we wanted but this? I'm of the opinion that if this is where the game is going I'll never play it again. Which makes me extremely sad, because I loved what this game _used_ to be. I'm actually quite furious.
The only thing that sucks about crafting is instead of crafting a hundred ammo and so on you only craft one to five yeah that sucks but with the ammo perk you get so much ammo you don't know what to do with it just scrap what ammo types you don't useand to get the explosives and you'll be just fine I have so much explosives I can make whatever I want to now I don't need to have copper to make rockets which was ridiculously stupid I love this update
Am I missing the point where crafting, I see everyone saying “craft once and get x25 of blank” but if I spam the craft button 5x times now I have x125 off aforementioned material…. Did it become more expensive? Costing more resources vs how much it made per craft? I am a new Genz player so may have missed something
Gotcha. So it’s more expensive now essentially. I haven’t played in a minute and just started up again this week. Found your channel and appreciate your content.

I really hate that they've done this, the game already has only about 4k players every month and I absolutely love the game it's probably one of my favorites of all time but they need to pick up the pase and listen to what the players have to say
i personally have no problem with it. i collect every type of ammo/material and all the other stuff, recycle what i don't need and craft what i need. i like it now more than before because its more challenging. before the update i was running around with, example, 3k 9mm mp ammo, collecting more and more in the inv, and had another 10 - 15k in the storage collecting dust. even without the buff from the skills in the right skilltree. but well, that's my opinon as a more stealthy player who also sneaks into all kinds of buildings and collects everything on his path. ^^" for an offensive player on the other hand who isnt interested in collecting and sneaking around its a bigger problem for sure. **
I've gotten to the point that I only use .50cal and 7.65mm. ALL the rest of the ammo gets broken down. Still, the balance between what you get per unit resouce is cruel. 3 rounds of .50cal?
I don't know, I think the new crafting system is actually better than people are making it out to be. Before hand, I never had any problem with finding resources or even bullets. Im gathering that people are just hating for the sake of hating
I am s fairly new player, just got my first character to lvl28 and I have had zero issues with the crafting system when it comes to mats and amounts crafted.. I am a lootwhore so if I see a container or a bacback or a house that may have either of those, I cannot walk by it, I have to go and loot them 😂 so this might be a big reason why I have never been starved for mats.. I am happy that I started playing after they implemented the schematic system that is in the game now.. the previous system sounds horrible..
Luckily after over 1050 hours of GZ, I still can't be bothered to craft anything or even build bases. Learn to component shoot and just grind the map for tanks and firebirds. Leave the Harvs they give rubbish for loot, as do the lynxs and Wolves unless of course you're working a region to get it to Reaper spawning levels.
Ironic mode ON:
Everything in the world is getting more expensive, even in GZ
Ironic mode OFF ;)
I made that association myself.

Yes the crafting they made a huge mistake on, the only thing that came out of the update that really stood out to me is the skill tree for the schematics. They are going to have to come back and change the crafting back.
Did they fix it?
@@pitbullisaacstill no crafting is almost entirely worthless now
With the new update, me and my friend simply cannot play gz anymore.
Sure, rarer resources are more readily available, but now the output is ridiculously low.
I just scrap my lower medkits
Just started playing the game and am now at a point where my medpack stacks are decreasing, not being able to craft enough to keep up the supply, forcing me to go scavenging more vigilantly before picking big fights.
I think that’s the point of the game asides from the story
to be honest, i've never crafted anything, not one thing, I don't use it, I don't miss it either. ~Trooper
Played since launch and can confidently confirm that *THEY FUCKED UP LOL*
Agree, they did to a certain point, and the crafting aspect of the game is just a
minor anoyance compared to the now broken missions and random crashes.
Nicely said dude!
I have both loot skill and I'm finding less ammo and it doesn't seem to be responding to what weapons I have anymore
That's exactly the point he was making in this video is that crafting is pointless now why would I craft three rounds of 50 cal where I could go farming and find 20 rounds the whole purpose of crafting is to help give you an edge with a specific ammo type you're wanting to use if it doesn't do that then there's literally no point in doing it at all I'm getting to the point to where I'm unlocking adrenaline shots to craft that's literally the only thing I'm going to craft once I unlock that but even then the price is too expensive so I probably won't even do that
For casual players this sucks
The thing is, I normally craft medkits hundreds at a time. I’m not going to click craft 100 times
Thank you for pointing this out I already used all my ammo and medkits I already used 3 months of resources in 10 hours I have nothing now
- Hey crafting!
- Yes?
- you're pointless!
- 35 buried, 0 found.
7.62 shock went down to 30 from 300. Not happy.
I think this is like the biggest mistake they could ever done for the game I just hope they fix the crash and glitches in the game 😕
I suggest the incorporate a slider so you can chose how much you craft at once.
They weren't ment to nerf it this bad so hopefully they make crafting more viable again
It does Not get grundy. The whole game is a grind but I am never out of ammo unless I purposefully leave ammo back at base
I do love the amount of attention given to crafting and having to craft to earn or do certain things
What I really want is a container with an infinite limit. ;-;
Good news, I finally found 5-star gear that aren't weapon mods!
I find myself also having way too much Ammo and killing my Inventory.
Congrats on the first 5 Crown. My first 5 Crown was the Rocketlauncher as aDrop from a Tank. Gladly, there is a lot of Ammo for this boy everywhere.
@@mynickisalreadytaken
I also noticed the FNIX machines losing more often, with the bigger Soviet machines being tanky as fuck.
Oops, that was a bit much now. sry :D
Maybe a way to make more machine companions that do more and help more? Especially for those of us who don't have friends and only solo?
Man that's really disappointing. I was just gonna hop back on generation zero and get some of the new weapons but now I won't have any ammo for them.
Being a daily player and I was grinding for a long time and has 1000's of materials and few clicks of the controller I'd have 10k in rounds now I'm lucky to get 500
Lol I feel that.
Please devs ...make crafting great again like it used to be...was sooo much better...we thank you in advance 🐻
Also happy new years🎉
I nearly have it after only playing for 3 days. You’ll be okay. Items are abundant and easy to spam build for the points
Reviving another player doesn’t require an item. Only to revive yourself
Maybe they got an offer they couldn't refuse from a bigger studio. Just when I was looking to make space in my plundra for the new weapons!
I just started playing this game for the first time ever ,this definitely sucks . Awesome video :)
I hope you stick around, this is a bad-ass game. They just have to un-fuck this. I'm just using this as an opportunity to hoard materials, that's the "silver lining"...I guess.
If I would have known that they were going to ruin crafting I would have built tons of stuff and used up all of my materials.
Same.
isn’t that bad.. easier and simple, farming is more easier and i love it.
Not bin on for ages and went to make medical pack that uses uranium - used to get 30 now just 1, thats insane really poor super nerf
Yeah that sucks, knowing how rare uranium is
I think the new system will get better.
Is your character's "gas mask still equipped.?
Based on these reviews im going to recycle all the FMJ and craft all the 7.62 and 9mm shock ammo i need before updating to this Dangerous Experiments update. Replacing all FMJ with only Shock Ammo and AP rounds
Lowering the Crafting amount was a mistake that they should've never done.
I totally agree with you. Old system was superior where the resources were harder to come by instead of making it impossibly expensive.
If I need .50 bmg I usually take down a couple of firebirds. They also drop loads of 5.56 (gotten up to 900 fmj and 200 ap)
Feels like they don't play the game to understand the changes they made were such a negative impact on the progress of the game.
Honestly the new weapons pack is awesome, the new expirementals are also awesome, but the fun ends there. The crafting sucks now, I've started to have massive lag spikes in areas where I was able to run 100 fps. I dunno if anyone else is having lag issues, but I dunno what is with this update.
I only get lag spikes with the reaper, I’m on series x so it is annoying sometimes
The rest of the map works perfectly.
*don't know." Not "dunno."
@@firstamendment2887 Maybe find something better to do than post on month old comments complaining about the grammar used in the comment?
@@firstamendment2887first amendment is freedom of speech and the morons correcting incorrect speech. The tard levels are out of this world
The only reason they did this is because this community is completely against change so I think this is just their way of keeping the players from complaining about a small nerf later on.
I did find it odd that it cost 8 wood and 8 scrap for four resistance arrows.
I seriously have no clue what the devs are thinking with this. I get that some materials are required less now for crafting but the amount you get FROM crafting has been reduced in some cases by almost 80%! What's the point of crafting .50 cal now if it takes me 34 button presses to craft 100 bullets?
It’s bullsh_t! They even decreased the amount of experimental ammo you craft. What a disappointment
I think they just need to update how much you get from is all, I like the new schematics system
Hi wired gaming great video as always really enjoyed it I agree the crafting is now gone to sh*t I was trying to make standard medkits yesterday and before you neaded textile thread and acelrent to make them now it's bloody adhesive and textile it took me ages to find them it's absolutely rediculous
I hate to say it, but you're better off farming them right now. It isn't worth spending the materials on.
I can't see much change in this update
just got to lvl 30, crafting is so bad, even for weapon mods, i cant even do 1 gold mod yet and i have like 20 different gold weapons that id love to try augmenting, 1 year later and this is still rough, no mods either from what i can see to fix this :(
It's the Generation Zero way, break what works, ignore what's broken.
Its worth it to invest in ammo perks too, as tanks usually drop me anywhere between 120-500 .50 bmg ammo with max ammo finder
They've definitely overnerfed crafting. Hopefully it doesn't take them weeks/months to adjust it.
Half of my playstyle was bound to the crafting table to craft meds and exp ammo... seems like ill have to go back and play The Forest again...
"...a little too much..." ? They nerfed the shit out of ammo crafting! Spending the materials on ammo is not worth it now...at all; and the medkits...
Apparel schematics now suck if you only get CP spawning..
They just forget to add a couple off 0's behind the crafting numbers.
Med packs cost soooo much more now. It sucks. I can't even get back what I spend on a fight now.
Press square at the recycling table and get rid of crafting items then
You can find more health packs than it'll take you to find all the ingredients to craft one. It's just really stupid. Unnecessary!
Agreed, they've made the game somewhat unenjoyable.
Well, the devs reconciled this problem by reducing the price of the game. This game could have been so much better. Now it’s just sad.
I don't know how it is now as only started playing last month but I need to keep steel for weapon augmentation and resources so am trying to only craft ammo for ones that don't need steel
I bought this game a week ago. I like it but crafting makes no sence at all.
Hi Wired,
I paid good money for my explosive doggy.
I feel like they also nerfed explosive ammo for guns, used to it shredded more than armor piercing, now armor piercing feels more effective
100 percent agree
Was going to come back to this game until I saw this
I would make it that you get 4 aidkits from crafting, 100 7.62 from crafting and 15 bmg
they have nerfed crafting but they increased drops making it worth keeping everything to scrap and makes the game worth working and with the new bruksflak bike you have storage with you and can scrap stuff out there
Imho the crafting wasnt useful to begin with.
And that
weapons wear out over time, etc. I mean wouldnd that make more sense ?
Anyway, after this update i started a new campaign run and like some ppl before me noted some things are hard or/and
in very low quantity to find while other things are overly plentiful. In my case its explosives. Every ammo box contains a
explosive. Weird. Another example is ammo for the shotguns. Birdshot everywhere, buckshot way lesser and mostly in
one digit numbers, slugs are rare but when found its 20 or 30 shots.
This dev team reminds me of the early days of gajin
The only thing that sucks about crafting is instead of crafting a hundred ammo and so on you only craft one to five yeah that sucks but with the ammo perk you get so much ammo you don't know what to do with it just scrap what ammo types you don't useand to get the explosives and you'll be just fine I have so much explosives I can make whatever I want to now I don't need to have copper to make rockets which was ridiculously stupid I love this update
No more crafting medical first aid kits 40 at a time
Thanks ....
Am I missing the point where crafting, I see everyone saying “craft once and get x25 of blank” but if I spam the craft button 5x times now I have x125 off aforementioned material…. Did it become more expensive? Costing more resources vs how much it made per craft? I am a new Genz player so may have missed something
You used to get much more items per craft, so instead of 1 medkit you'd craft 5 for the price of what is now 1

I feel the same. Since i seem to have a similar playstyle like you have, it is not really surprising. Happy exploring.
I'm just starting the game, has crafting been improved now?
I've gotten to the point that I only use .50cal and 7.65mm. ALL the rest of the ammo gets broken down. Still, the balance between what you get per unit resouce is cruel. 3 rounds of .50cal?
Why can't I buy 5* clothing schematics? I can buy 3* and 4* but 5* don't work despite me having enough points... am I missing something?
I don't know, I think the new crafting system is actually better than people are making it out to be. Before hand, I never had any problem with finding resources or even bullets. Im gathering that people are just hating for the sake of hating
Agree. What a let down.
G’day, honestly I don’t find an issue with it
I spent over 800 metal just for a 1000 rounds of 7.62 ap
Luckily after over 1050 hours of GZ, I still can't be bothered to craft anything or even build bases. Learn to component shoot and just grind the map for tanks and firebirds. Leave the Harvs they give rubbish for loot, as do the lynxs and Wolves unless of course you're working a region to get it to Reaper spawning levels.
True 😂
Such a huuuuuge disappointment before Christmas..... totally agree with you.... crafting is pointless. It's a reason not to play the game anymore
