Shwartz definitely knew. They were setting up the scene for when tom would break up with Ariana and Tom and Raquel would come out as a couple. Shwartz has never asked Sandoval questions like that about ariana, so this is definitely staged.

Remember in the Howie Mandel interview, Sandoval said he approached producers to say he felt it was only fair that he and Arianna get a storyline this season. Maybe this is what he meant. What a scumbag.
Shayna has explained on her podcast previously about how calculated Sandoval is for the show. I guarantee he put Schwartz up to it in order to “set up” that the person she has a crush on would be him after he broke up w Ariana, just like how he’s planting the seeds to make Ariana the bad guy.
Schwartz played a very big role in this affair. The way he brought this discussion to light on camera.
He already admit that he found out in August and this was after Lala’s birthday in September so he purposely mentioned he's not interested because he believes she has feelings for someone else a way to shut it down while opening a door for what's to come. He then also proceeds to not only entertain bad mouthing Ariana but joins in on it. A way to assist Sandoval with eventually leaving her but so that she can look like the bad guy. Schwartz is way more calculated and manipulative than people give him credit for.
I mean if you look at old episodes you'll see how he was the one who would lie to the very end covering for his friends and himself and he would be so believable when he did.

At least that’s my understanding based on what Raquel has said on VPR.

Schwartz already slipped during WWHL and admitted that he found out about about them fooling around once during August, and Andy called him out about it bc apparently at the Reunion Andy said that Schwartz claimed he only found out about the affair in Jan 2023. Then on WWHL after Andy called him out on it Schwartz backtracked and claimed he only knew about their one night stand in August and didnt think it was an ongoing thing, and didnt learn that it was an ongoing thing until January.
Again though this is only what Schwartz claims, he could be spinning it in what he thinks is the best possible light for Sandoval and he could have known about the affair a lot longer than what he claims but we are never gonna get the real truth bc both Toms are NOT men and will never admit to the full truth.
So this whole scene with them was a planned out thing to give him justification for eventually breaking up with Ariana.
Bc what i truly believe is if Scandoval never became public knowledge then Sandoval was waiting until after the reunion to officially end things with Ariana and him and Raquel would wait a few months later and say they started dating afterwards and would hope that no one ever found out about their affair.
